No nutrients fed this week. For the first 6 days we only fed 6.4 deionised water. We just found out that is now a good idea to use deionised water as it contains no minerals like Cal or Mg, so today we switched to using bottled water with adjusted ph to 5.9. Medium: Canna Coco Pro Plus with 30% perlite mix

We were planning on using FOX Farm trio (Big Bloom , Grow Big(liquid plant version) and Tiger Bloom as nutrients but found out that they might not be a good idea in mix with Canna Coco Pro medium. Do you think we should change to other nutrients like Canna ones?

I would say, "Yes, but..." Switching to Coco-optimized nutes isn't completely necessary, by any means. It really depends on what time/effort you want to put into it. Either continue with the FF trio, but supplement appropriately. The correct supplemental values could be easily obtained by scanning for grow journals where FF Trio is used with Coco. I would expect to see somewhere between 2-5ml/gal of additional CalMag that would need to be added to your base nutrients, but that also is going to play into how involved you are with your garden. You will have to do some research in choosing your CalMag additive (i.e. Botanicare, FF, Dyna-Gro, etc). It will be important to give a mild flush to the Coco on a regular basis (every 3-4 weeks) in order to keep nute buildup to a minimum. Alternatively, you could scrap the FF Trio altogether and go with a Coco-optimized nute line and not have to make the adjustments, though I would still recommend a periodic flush to avoid buildup-based-lockout. As always, Happy Growing.

We went for canna nutrients after all as we are unexperienced and we chose to be safe than sorry.

We got our hands on some calmag hoping it will solve the problem with the spots. Also, we noticed the leaves started curling up and think it is because of over-watering so from now on we will wait until the top inch of the soil becomes dry before watering again. We were watering daily (40-60 ml) even though the top soil wasn't dry which we think caused some of the problems.. Hope changing this will help her recover. Also, we raised the ph to 6.2 as we read that the calcium is best absorbed from 6.2 upwards. UPDATE (16/11): The problem with over-watering turned out to be true as minor spots with algae appeared over the coco, now we water every 2 days, maybe more for the plants closer to the humidifier. We did some more research and found out is not a good idea to let coco to dry out completely, especially an inch.. we will try to water when the color changes from dark to brownish. Also, we think we found out what was the problem from the stains and the curling of the leafs.. it was because of WIND BURN so we turned the ventilator to not blow directly on the leaves. We will see in the following days if our hunches turn out to be true. UPDATE(19/11): The leafs are a kind of droppy and we think it is because of over-water again...can't seem to find the right schedule..it's so hard to be a beginner. Also, we added the second light in the tent and now the temperatures raised to 28-30 degrees... probably also because we lowered the light to 45 cm as well.

Started LST from 25/11. Also, after quite some time we finally found out that is best to have coco watered to a saturation of 90%-100% so now we are watering with around 1 litre a day looking for a 10%-20% runoff to avoid mineral build up.

Removed the cal mag as it was no longer needed. LST is looking great on this beauty. Some minor brown spots but apart from that she is doing great!

LST with high frequency irrigation in going great for her. Was thinking about starting defoliation... The only weird thing is she just started flowering this week which is kind of late for a 70 day plant.

It looks like she is still in pre-flowering with only a couple of pistils coming out under the leaves...
