Hello friends,
Started with these new Glookies seeds from Barneys Farm, curious to see what this strain will give.
Started with the seeds in a glas of regular tap water for 24 hours and placed them in a coffee filter for 2 days after.
On day 3 I put them into rockwool cubes with R/O water with low dosis nutrients and they are doing great, no signs of stress
That's about it, cya next week!
Hello friends!
Started using ventilation and the root tips dried out very quickly so I hooked up a small dwc system on day 12
They will be in this system till they have developed enough roots then i'll transplant them to the closet! :)
It seems like a pretty good start so far, but still a long way to go ;) haha
Cya next week!
Hello friends,
Nothing special this week, they are doing great!
Roots are growing fast, they will be ready for transplant into the rdwc in a couple of weeks when my other grow is finished drying :)
Cya next week! Cheers!
They are doing great, i only was a bit lazy with changing the water so i was a few days late and noticed magnesium deficiency coming up.
So i gave more nutrients and they really seem to like it, they are growing rapidly now.
When i compare this one with my previous grows, these ones are really going great with 6 nodes already and looking much more healthy! :)
Cya next week, peace! 😎
Heya
I dint had/made time to change the solution, it dropped in 11 days to the lowest i've seen; ec of 0,26 and ph was around 5,3 so i was like 4 days late
Really need to add some magnesium as a base as well with the calcium with these ones so i ordered today some ;)
Also changed the solution and i already noticed 10 hours later the difference so it seems they are doing well so nothing to worry about, they will recover fast
hang the led bars a bit higher now, so they have some more room to stretch
Going to transfer them in rdwc next week when i'm able to.. ...gotta wait, there's a maintenance on the grid next week so i will be waiting for that to finish
Thats about it cya next week 😎👍
Heya!
nothing much going on , they needed to have more water ec dropped way too low; from 0,85 to 0,26 in like for 4 days
But lost my motivation a bit because of last grow so im a bit late with everything, but they are still doing great and i transplanted them to the rdwc and are booming now!
Cya next week!
Heya!
They are now 1 week in the rdwc and are going great I dint needed to adjust anything, it stayed very stable this week so, hopefully this will continue for the rest of the grow ;)
Cya next week!
Im still tweaking with the nutrients, adding a calmag base next week i can say more about it. But for this week it was showing minor problems cause lack of nutrients, ec kept dropping.
Thats about it cya next week
Still tweaking with the nutrients especially with the Calmag.. somehow everyone says get a base 0.4 ec or 200 ppm with calmag (2:1) but when i go anywhere near this my ph drops like a stone, from 6,2 to 5,3 in less than 10 hours, i've tried 0,5 ml calcium with 0,25ml magnesium, decided to change res after 3-4 days with 0,4 calcium which also didn't look great.
So then i thought maybe i should add equal parts magnesium since the amount in % is nearly half in comparison with each other and so i've added the same amount of magnesium as calcium in the water, on day 63 but stems and petioles turn more purple, while some say "you should add calmag" when you see such signs which makes it very confusing, but now i'm going back to the nutrient formula i used a couple weeks ago when things looked a lot better just with a little less calcium now since it was really dark so I probably was close to over feeding already and went the wrong direction.
Hopefully everything will be fine again because they look sad and growth is really slow now.. They get a lot of stress with those ph swings..
Time will tell. cya next week!
still havent figured out what the cause of my ph drop is, I tried to get them as healthy as possible before flower, but i had to put them into flower since they're getting so big now.
Also lst is really helpfull i can tell the stems are getting bigger, so i will apply lst earlier next round, figured i was a bit late because of the stretching of the lower branches.
Thats about it, Cya next week on the other side ;)
This week i switched nutrients to flower nutes on day 2, i've been building up the nutrients during the week just to be cautious, trying to figure out what they really need, because last growth was really lacking calmag and other nutes aswell
Ph wasnt stable for weeks even flower nutrients dint change it, so i added another dose of cannazym which seem to have made the ph stable again so i figured adding more phosphorus might help, and it did seem to work better when i sort of even out the pk ratio. after it was stable i've been adding calmag each day after. I've gotta say things sure look better now but tbh still not sure of anything atm hahah.
Overall its looking really great and i've gotta put some work into defoliation, they are getting huge! Cant wait to see some tops ;)
Any tips and or feedback are welcome! Cya next week!
Guess what? Still tweaking with nutrients.. 😁 haha
But finally figured out more deficiencies, so now i know whats really missing and that's trace mix, still went overboard with the calcium and magnesium its just too much concentrated. added extra R/o to lower the ec
I've added a bit of trace mix and it started to look better but i'm not there yet just very close.. 😬
Overall this will be my best grow with rdwc, so i cant wait to see some results!
Tops are starting to develop now and will have to do another round of defoliation.
Any feedback is welcome! Cya next week! 😎
They are getting huge!! Its hard to keep up with the stretching.
I had to do some serious defoliation, now i have to put extra work into it but could have been avoided by switching to flower 2 weeks earlier,
but there were some problems so i didn't at the time. so just gotta make the best of it and do alot of trimming haha
I'm just trying to learn how to read them properly with adjusting the nutes a little, so far it got me alot of info but takes alot of time!
Every grow we learn more :)
Luckily i have a few extra inches left to raise the led when i need to, maybe next week.
Flowers bud sites popping up everywhere, so the best part finnaly begins ;)
Cya next week!
This week i lowered Nutrients Npk and more secondary nutrients and micros and they look really well ph and ec was stable during the week!
It seems to me at this point that they are demanding more calmag when they start focus on producing buds..(edit: turns out i've been over feeding them with calmag already things got worse)
Buds sites everywhere, things start to look great and the thc is insane already, leafs are getting sugar coated all the way already!!
Also when i go in and smell them its like going to a candy shop and yet still at least 5-6 weeks to go, cant wait! :)
Cya next week!
So this week is was messing up my nutes, it looked like they needed more cal & mag but when i gave them more, i was locking out "PK" wasnt really sure so i added a tiny bit more calcium and things got worse as you can see in my photos.
First i thought this was caused because i left out Mg on the 1st day changing water, so i added it the day after because i see all kinds of errors but it seems to me that Mg from canna is a great additive if your lacking Sulfate aswell but i do not with these nutes so I only make things worse when adding. Then i added a little PK booster since it was lacking but it still went downhill so i knew i was locking out main nutrients..
I waited a few days because i had to be sure then i changed my res with adding calmag from ghe, but dumb enough i also raised the trace mix i was already adding so, then i ran into new problems..
Sooo last night i made another ress change, but forgot to buy a new bottle calmag from ghe so i just added the same amount of calcium and left out mg again..
What blew my mind was, that what i was adding together turned out to be almost ph perfect without adjusting, although i've added a bit ph+ today because ph dropped a little to 5,7 still crazy tho!
Well somehow when i cut the extra calmag, my flowers start growing instead of dying.. so much of the opposite that i read online..
Just gotta wait and see, overall its still looking great i think i have it back under control now..
Cya next week!
so this week I added to much of the trace mix when i found out i ordered some other calmag additive from bac and tried to add till ec of 0,34 and added base nutrients and additives till ec of 1 but it was too concentraded with the magnesium so i fcked up haha waited 2 days then i started going back and made better ratios for next week
Cya
It took some days to recover from than magnesium overdose but they finally starting to be stable again but only a couple of weeks left.
I'm planning to do some more defoliation next week to get more light into the cannopy, wanted to do this 2 weeks prio but they were stressed to much
Thankfully still seeing development with the buds so hopefully it wont be too bad, and prob will harvest in 2 times
Cya next week!
I changed the way to cool my water temp because running your nutes through the waterchiller will cause problems with it, because i see it get clogged up with nutrients that fall out of solution, which prob have been one of my biggest problems.
So I now installed a coil attached to the chiller which will indirectly cool the nutrients, just by placing a colder element into the reservoir.
Right after i stopped the chiller and added a bit calcium my ph went stable again.
This dwc has been a pain in the ass since i started this, but very valuable lessons learned on the way!!
I noticed my plants aren't dying of stress or anything anymore so thankfully the last couple of weeks been alright and things look pretty good today and they still need 2 weeks to finish, so hopefully they fatten up a bit more..
Cya next week!
