This week went pretty well! I'm starting with Ironhead's updated method for coco found on grasscity. I believe I may be running into phosphorus issues because there is some slight darkening on a few of my leaves, but I think this may be due to underwatering as I left over the weekend and came home to some very dry coco. The guides I have read said the older leaves may not recover but new ones shouldn't show signs of discoloration so I'm waiting for the new ones to grow a little more. The one plant you see with a veggie tie on it was also drooped over on it's side but has now seemed to gain it's strength back. I tried posting close ups of the problem leaves, they also have some denting/twisting which is another reason I believe it was underwatered. Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated though, I am somewhat familiar with plants in general but this is my first ever cannabis grow so I've got a lot to learn. Setup for those curious and other new growers: TENT: 4x4 Vivosun tent - Seems comparable to all other tents at this price point, it took like 15 minutes to build and I've noticed no light leak at all, though I've heard pinholes usually form with time so I'll update my journal if I notice any LIGHT: Timber Grow Lights Redwood VS - These are really sturdy, I was actually able to hold it on one end and there's absolutely 0 flex in the frame and it includes a dimmer so I'm adjusting to 300W during veg up to the full 640W for flower. All of the light information regarding PPFD is also available on their site, I'm not very familiar with this info so I won't speak on it. FAN: AC Infinity T6 - This fan is amazing so far and runs very quiet, but it creates negative pressure at the lowest setting so I would recommend the T4 model for 4x4 if I were to rebuy fans for the sake of saving money CARBON FILTER: Phresh Intake Filter 6 in x 8 in 270 CFM - I see a lot of people buy really large filters, but I read improperly matching the filter can reduce the life length of the carbon inside, if you visit Phresh's website they have a calculator to show you the appropriate size filter. I ended up getting a smaller and cheaper filter after checking that so I recommend looking that up for new growers Misc: I bought two wire shelves from Home Depot and cut some weather treated 2x6 wood to raise it off the floor. This has made watering to drain a breeze since I can reach underneath and pull all of my drip trays out. I bought a Buckethead vacuum but find it more tedious than just pulling them out and dumping them. I also have fans coming, I bought 6x USB powered 6" fans and a USB hub to plug them into in order to conserve outlets in my power strip in case I ever need to add anything else. After receiving those I will work on cable management and hopefully get it all nice and pretty. Cheers!

I believe I have a phosphorus deficiency from lack of watering/early pH issues. I also have curly/dented leaves that can be seen in the close ups. Does this seem like a phosphorus deficiency or what else may it be?

Hello shreddedminiyeets, Your girl is looking good, not bad at all. I would recommend you do change some things to make sure you get no problems later on. First of all, try to aim your ph more to 5.9 or 6 and not above 6. You want the nitrogen to be pulled by your plant. Also the humidity is very low if its 40%, try to mist or spray your girls daily to maintain a humidity of 65%. My last recommendation is to raise your light, because i think the spacing between the nodes is very small and its getting to much light. I think with these small adjustments they will look better overtime. Hope this was an helpfull answer. Keep on growing my friend. Peace šŸ‘šŸ¾

@shreddedminiyeets, Inkbird Humidity Controller IHC200 Humidistat Mushroom Greenhouse Pre Wired Outlet Dual StageĀ Humidifier Dehumidifier https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01J1E5LWM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_HRi1DbR2ASS37 Thatā€™s the controller she referenced. Your grow is looking great....and I suspect your leaf issues are from low humidity (I have the same issue)

@shreddedminiyeets,i was talking about the controller for the humdifier.. because most humidifir dont work properly ,,, making the wrong numbers of humidtiy or dont have acontrol. the controller is from INKBIRD he got 2 sockets, so you can run a humidifier and adehumidifier single or together, and you always have the right rh then https://www.ink-bird.com/products-humidity-controller-ihc200.html using fan s is the best to use 2 fans ... one mounted in one corner on the lower area, and one in the other corner from above. both oscillating is perfect. so that the plants are moving slightly in the wind. the airstreams " of the fans should cross each other https://www.growweedeasy.com/exhaust#fans-in-the-grow-area

@Mrs_Larimar, thank you for the suggestion. I've been debating a humidifier highly because I'm from Michigan so a majority of the year I'll probably be battling high humidity instead. What do you mean though by controller? If you're talking about for fans, the one I ordered did include a controller with a few different functions, but I wasn't sure how/why to use any of them.

Wow, they look great! I wish I had started in coco, but I didnā€™t know any better. Great job so far!

@Walty, I have enjoyed coco a lot so far. It seems nearly impossible to overwater after the first couple weeks when the roots are established. It can be annoying to mix nutes every feed though depending how you feel about mixing nutes

@Blaizen24_7, i havenā€™t weighed these yet because Iā€™m still trimming. 1 of 4 plants finished finished 3 weeks ago and it had 45g of bud that wasnā€™t very dense but it was still strong hitting. So far Iā€™ve trimmed 1.5/3 plants and have est. 60g but Iā€™m going to update with the dry weight when Iā€™m finished trimming.

I've tried LST and just letting them grow naturally, I personally like letting them grow naturally but I think a scrog net would only be beneficial. Good Luck ...

@Mr_Weeds_Autos, I just added a trellis net today. I've heard really conflicting things about doing training on autos but I kinda got excited about the first experience and went for it anyway.
