11-18 Taking quite a while to shed it’s shell. Seems it’s not done much over the last 2 day’s but get a little taller. Noticed it starting to lean. 11-20 Wow what a wonderful surprise I woke up to today! Now we’re getting somewhere. I’m thinking of when to transplant it to the 5 gallon permanent container? It seems too fragile to mess with. What do y’all think? 11-22 happy to see the leaves opening up. Added my led lights tonight

11-25 Really taking it’s time here lol 11-28 I added fox farm to the top to stabilize it and it really seemed to like it. 12-1 Yup adding the fox farm made all the difference 🙌🏻 12-3 Happy with progress :) 12-7 I noticed the bottom leaves are turning yellow 12-8 starting to be concerned with the yellowing of the bottom leaves. Posted a question about it

Noticing my very bottom leaves are turning yellow. Should I be concerned with this? Any idea of the cause? I haven’t used any nutrients yet.

Hi Cookie_thefarmer Yes it's an Auto you haven't given any Root stimulants and now Nutritions. Till now. So she is starting to eat from here oldest leaves. Looking for Nutrition to survive. It's normal for them to get yellow and fall off at some time. Your bottom leaves turning yellow because you lady is showing you she's hungry. It looks you Are looking for a small compact plant with what I see it is in a small pod. Suggestion- Feed as soon as possible Add 1/4 dose grow nutrition from recommend suppliers maximum in 1 l off water. It's an auto and they eat less. And start feeding her my friend. Get the lights closer with 10cm so she gets going. Hope this helps And good luck with your first grow.

Day 29- Well, I am a bit concerned with the dying of the bottom leaves. I haven’t given any nutrients and I started with the wrong soil.. going to transplant tomorrow into a larger container and use full fox farm Day 30- Transplanting went fine. All the soil was dry, even through the roots. So that removes the thought of over watering to the reason for the bottom leaves dying. Maybe it doesn’t haven enough nutrients because my original soil wasn’t meant for this (My fox farm had not been delivered from amazon yet) So transplanted, watered and let it go. We shall see what happens 🤷‍♀️🏼 Day 31- not much change, hopefully some progress tomorrow. Day 32- same ^ Day 33- doing better

Well, day 85. Seems to be slow at flowering, it’s been slow to do everything thus far so why would I have expected anything less? Lots of flowering sites which I am happy about. They’re just taking a long time to develop it seems? Any tips to help this? I have her on a 12/12 as soon as I saw pre-flowering over a week ago.

I feel like you have a photoperiodic autoflfo. I can happens sometimes , today auto are crossed with photo to increase their THC level and it can happens that one of the plant crossed by this mean keeps the photoperiodic genes so 12/12 will makes her flip. Don't forget than the white widow isn't the quickest to flower so it should happens soon

Wow! Thank you all for the responses! I didn’t have my foxfarm when I initially planted the seedling. Then once my foxfarm got here it was too delicate to transplant. So that’s what I’ve done today, transplanted it to a larger pot and full fox farm. Hopefully that does the trick for now for nutrients.. I will order some proper nutrients now.

Mine were a bit tall too, I just gently dug it out and placed it a little deeper in the soil 👍 Stops the lean and makes the plant easier to manage in a couple weeks 🙌 Best of luck!

@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, lmao like trying to defuse a bomb! As my hands were shaking using this little screwdriver to dig I was thinking there couldn’t be a more perfect analogy. Thanks for helping me out 🤗

@Cookie_thefarmer, On the first one I moved like I was trying to defuse a bomb and by the third it was just a simple movement. 👍 I thought the roots would be way bigger but I just slowly pushed down a circle around the plant and scooped my hand well under where I thought the roots would be, It'll actually hold together nicely in your hands as loose soil falls away then you just use your free hand to dig/push aside soil so you can set it down deeper in the pot and gently push the soil back and pack around the new base. Roots start to grow out of the stem you covered after a week or so as well so no wasted space!

@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, thank you! I was wanting to! Was just unsure if it was too delicate to move?

You are not going to need fertilizer for a couple of weeks. After that you will need to develop your own formula and feeding schedule. For me I keep it simple and I used practically only earth worm casting during veg. There are better combo. But earth worm casting is simple and get good result for vegging phase

@Med_in_Tropic, thank you! I ordered fox farm big bloom 😊

On my first few grows, I used garden soil with manure. And plants were burned badly. Short story, you have switched to cannabis soil. She will out grow the first few yellow leaves. Good luck.

I would put the light on for at least 16hrs per cycle. Are they really only a foot tall after 12 weeks???

@BeefWellingtons, haha no I guess I never updated that. She’s probably closer to 3+ feet

Looks good, a bit small but I have two that are 47cms at week 9 check out my grow if you like. We're pretty close together

Cookie_thefarmercommented5 years ago
@Lolberries, yeah she had a rough start. I didn’t have my foxfarm delivery before the tap root popped and took off. Had to plant in a shitty medium. Then I didn’t add any nuts for like 6 weeks. I was just winging this at first and have learned a lot! So far having much faster progress with my second.

ButtersStotch
ButtersStotchcommentedweek 95 years ago
I had 5 White a widow Autos from cropping last year. 4/5 flowered like normal under 18/6 light and one decided not to flower. I tried 48 hrs darkness, switching to 12-12 and nothing. I started my grow in March so I adjust kept vegging her And through her in my flower bed. She ended up flowering on her own come fall. Must just be in the genes. Anyway great grow, keep it up!

https://www.thegrowshow.org/fox-farm-feeding-schedule A sample of feed schedule. The point is that you’ll probably want to buy two more products. But really, I don’t use branded products. I go for compost, yoghurt, molasses, and stuff.
