Flower Week 7 is in the books. The girls weren't very thirsty again. Their last feeding last week was on Sat., and they didn't need to be fed again until Tues., Jan. 7th.
On Thurs., Jan. 9th I checked on them and I decided they didn't feel light enough for a full feeding, but I didn't think they should go as long as it would have been until I could feed them again. So, I split 1 gallon of distilled water between the 3 of them, and on Fri., Jan. 10th they all got 1 gallon of full nutrients each.
Just before I took the pictures for this week I did a big fan leaf cleanup. There weren't a lot of big ones but instead it was a lot of little small ones that were blocking bud sites directly underneath them.
Hopefully next week is the last week. I haven't starting checking tricones with my jeweler's loop yet so we'll see how they look next week but if everything works out right I could be harvesting over MLK Weekend.
Thanks for checkin' in. Until next week, Happy Smoking.
Nice job! Do you thinking about use scrog? At my second time growing I used scrog and It was very good I think, but I'm thinking about make like you. Why you don't have big leaves? I have a lot of these.. Take a look on my diary if u can, what do you think?I used cyco, and barney's farm seeds too haha, Thanks!
@Kreewl, thank you. 😀 Yes, I have been thinking of trying scrog but I wanted to compare my 1st grow and 2nd grow with only a little bit of change to see where I made improvements and how much it would help.
I took my big fan leaves off so the light can get thru and for better air flow.
@ThrashedTV_BakedByGlaze, Thanks Dude! Even from my limited experience with them, I would definitely recommend the 2 strains I have grown from @Barneys...and hopefully will be expanding the recommendation to 3 strains grown. 😁
@BIGBUDZ450, It wasn't a conscious choice. I would have been happy with just the 24 hrs of dark but this' just the way it worked out...my timer shuts off @ 9pm...24 hrs would have turned them back on @ 9pm, which is "off" time.
Looking good. How do you think your fimming went? I just did mine yesterday for the first time on a plant from seed. I think I may have topped a couple instead of fim.
Thanks @MountainBudz, much appreciated.
I think the FIMming went well. The vertical growth slowed giving the rest of the branches to catch up to the rest of the plant(s) and now they're getting some nice growth on the main branch again. I guess I'll really get to see how well it went when I switch them to Flower at the end of the week.
