Pretty happy so far, seeds germinated quickly just at room temp between moist paper towel. Watched them carefully this go to make sure the radicle didn't grow much in the towel so was pleased that germination was fairly uniform; the first seed to open still had quite a tiny radicle by the time the last seed was open. Popped them into Sunshine Mix #4 in solo cup starters roughly first pinkie knuckle depth kept overnight in my bedroom for first night (room temp) then moved them in the work in progress grow room the following morning with lights on; currently soaking up the rays. 😎
Looking real nice now in the 7 gallon bags, happy with how things are progressing.
Everything is going well so far, taking well to the 7 gallon bags and starting to really see acceleration in growth now. Went pretty light on the first feeding since they were small but some areas are looking a touch light green so going to move closer to the recommended strength tomorrow morning with a 4mL/G feeding.
Everything coming along very nicely, took well to the topping; staying low and bushy. Recommended week-by-week feeding recommendation on the Remo nutrients must be for hydro or coco because in my soilless media I was seeing issues at only 5mL/gal. Keeping it at 4mL/gal since seems to have solved it nicely.
Cooler in the grow room than I'd like but the plants seem to be doing well regardless and I'm trying to hold off using the space heater if not absolutely necessary.
Started to taper off the VeloKelp until we get into flower.
Awesome progress this week! Started training and everything is coming along real well minus one top I broke off on the first plant I started training a bit too aggressively.
Still looking like plenty of nutrients at 4mL/gal and no new signs of major excess since the 5mL/gal feeding in week 3 so I see no reason to increase yet. Tapering back velokelp significantly until we get into flower just to conserve; hopefully make it through this grow without having to buy another yet but we'll see (my one pet peeve about the Remo supercharged kit is how there is 1L of each product included but you do not use each evenly since velokelp, micro, MagNifiCal used throughout [the most] vs grow only for veg [the least] or bloom, nature's candy, astroflower for flower only [medium-high usage] so I feel the kit would benefit greatly from adjusting to a more usable ratio of the products).
Good genetics coupled with diligent training is doing wonders so far, my compliments to Barney's Farm! 🌞👍
Excited to flip these girls soon once everything is evened out how I want it!
✌️😎👌
Another great week even though temps in the grow room remain considerably lower than I would like, girls seem to be taking it in stride! 😃
These genetics are wonderful so far, really nice to work with and growing considerably faster than I would expect given the temps/VPD I have been struggling with. Was plenty of work on Christmas Eve getting these girls ready for their first 12hr darkness but excited to see how they progress into flower! 👍
Another great week! 😎🌞👌
Conditions far from "optimal" but strong genetics and a space heater helping me through the cold Canadian winter in my unheated basement grow room.
Going to be installing a carbon filtered exhaust fan today so hopefully will bring down the RH considerably to move the VPD into where it should be for flower.
All the best to my fellow growers! ✌️
Still chugging along, struggling to get humidity down so getting an expert over this weekend to help solve my issues.
Nevertheless, girls continue to do nicely; I just feel they are progressing slower into flower because of the cooler temps and higher rh keeping the VPD from where it needs to be.
Fingers crossed that climate will be dialed in after this weekend because we have some -38C nights in the forecast for next week. ❄️
Good vibes my fellow growers! ✌️🌞✌️
Another decent week fighting very cold outside temps (-52C this morning) but plants are doing well.
Got major defoliation done, took off a whole 1kg of leaves! Still waiting for materials to come in to make a grow tent for humidity/heat issues.
Rock on fellow growers! 😎✌️👌
Another nice week of growth, probably should have went heavier on the defoliation because these monsters grow back FAST and THICK 💪🌞
Still doing construction on the grow room to keep in more heat but overall just really struggling to lower the RH 👎
Happy vibes to my fellow growers! 😎✌️
Good bud progression this week, all done with stretching.
Tore down garbage bag/emergency blankets setup, put up 4x4; working towards optimized climate control.
Good vibes all ✌️😎👊
Real nice heavy smell developing in the tent 🤭💪👌
Another nice week, still struggling with humidity higher than it should be and temps not quite high enough (low VPD will hit the yield negatively for sure 😔👎) but dehumidifier almost here.
Best all 😎✌️
Another good week tweaking with climate control in the tent now, finally got the dehumidifier in so humidity finally under control and temps are good. Just trying to find/maintain a good balance of energy usage and VPD.
Buds starting to look pretty nice and damn is the tent starting to smell great 🤭🍋🔵
Best wishes all 😎✌️
Buds progressing nicely, got some serious frost going on and wondeful blueberry citrus smell in the tent! 🤭🍋🔵
Got the temps and humidity under control now with the dehumidifier but the yield bottleneck already occured weeks ago during major bud site development (VPD was way too low, but lucky no other issues from the insane humidity).
Hope everyone's grows are going well 😁✌️
@PharmaZ, definitely some different definitions of soilless out there so I'm sure the mix is considered soil to some folks lol. All I go by is that as a horticulture major this mix is what we use at our university and the definitions I have encountered in my schooling place it as a soilless medium.
Water consumption definitely has been lower than I would like but temps are suboptimal in my room right now so it's understandable. Roughly 3-4L per plant every second day is what they're able to consume at the current VPD (hopefully get it up into flower now); I'm guessing coco would be consuming 3-4L per plant per day so would maybe need to halve the amount of nutrients added to the water.
@Wobblandy, Ive learned something new today :)
It’s hard to get my head round though. Ok now can you answer my question about watering your soilless mix is it everyday, 2,3... once per week? How much water do you use per pot? Ta✌️
@Mr_Weeds_Autos, Thanks a lot! Climate isn't exactly as I would like but should have things sorted real soon and plants don't seem to mind in the meantime. 😁
@raptor65, thanks bud! Going well just topped earlier today, will post an update tomorrow. Interesting to see some different phenos expressing quite noticeably.
Have u tried just spraying your walls with water,, very simple but very affecting and helps the plants out loads and aways feed when the lights come on just so there's more Warter in the environment... Blueboy UK.... Good luck all the best
@Blueboy2019, definitely don't want more water in the environment lol I'm working to lower the humidity actually! 😄 but yep water at lights on is standard practice for a number of reasons, thanks. 👌✌️
