Hello everybody,
this is my first time growing White Widow x Big Bud and i hope the best since i heard a lot about high yield and nice kick.
Vegging is started with Guanokalnog organic soil and tap water, after the seeds sprouted in water soaked paper towel.
Attached photos were created on day 5.
Peace!
I got some curling leaves since the lack of humidity in the growing room, but plants are anyways doing their best to promote grow. In a few days i will transplant them in their final 11L container.
Since i don't feed plants with any nutrients on first two weeks, they were given only tap water.
This week, plants got transplanted to 11L pots, and feed with all nutrients needed (specified up). I got some brown spots on leaves, which indicates phosphor deficiency, but probably because of transplanting stress and possible ph fluctuations. I have feeling that situation will stabilize in next week, so i could start with topping.
As expected, both plants got better since the last week transplantation stress. I sure can thank BoomBoom spray for that. I have fed the bacteria in soil with molasses accompanied with standard Bio tabs Orgatrex.
Both plants are topped after 5th node, just to get as thin buds as possible since flowering phase will be fragile and prone to bud rot.
I will probably keep vegetation regime for one more week, just make sure that roots have formed properly, because more root in the end equals more fruit.
This was last week of vegetation. Already started to lower the light cycle duration. Tomorrow I'll switch to 12/12, and in a next week to 11/13. On first picture plant shows signs of underwatering, which exactly happened because i was away from home. Plant is now watered and will soon recover. I did some basic LST this week just form all colas to be the same size and height.
Really looking forward to see how will they flower.
First week of flowering is passing as expected. Girls are growing a bit slower, but that's Ok since i don't have too much space left for their stretch. Still feeding with Orgatrex only. Next week there will be some Bactrex along with molasses included in watering solution.
Second flowering week has passed. Plants are not stretching as i expected, but that's not problem since i have limited hight in my growing room. I have reduced light time to 11 hours to speed up flowering a bit.
Flowers are forming nicely. There are some sings of nutrient burn and Mg deficiency, but i will fix that with next watering. Expected a lot more stretch, but i guess they will stay compact and bushy. I have started feeding with 1 ml/l P-K bud booster and will continue to use it until last two weeks of flowering.
Flowers are forming nicely, as well as trichomes. Some deficiencies are still present, but at this point it's even natural for leaves to start getting yellow. Next 2 weeks i will water with only P-K booster and maybe some bactrex along.
Now i can be sure that there are two different phenos of same strain. Bigger plant keeps still keeps growing in size and has a lot of yellow leaves, and doesn't have lot of trichomes yet, but I think it will be fine. Smaller plant has a lot of trichomes already and buds are getting fat slowly but steady. Feeding with only PK bud booster and did last addition of Bactrex. Looking forward to next flowering week.
Final flowering stage is really visible. Most of fan leaves are yellow and trichome production is more than visible. This week was last watering with nutrients. From now on i will only give plan water with a bit of molasess to feed the bacteria in soil.
This was last flowering week. Most of fan leaves are yellow and there are lot of amber trichomes. Next week I'll harvest the plants. Smell is really strong and i love it. Watering only with molasses to feed the bacteria.
I have to say that i expected more from this genetics and that I'm a bit disappointed yield wise. Overall fun strain to grow, both phenos were pure indica structure, but i hoped for more fat and dens buds. I have harvested 60g dry bud with 15g of popcorn bud that I'll use for production of oil for cookies. I can't say i would recommend this strain, but i would grow it again outdoor only to get the chance to see its full potential.
@@vapedboy, No problem mate. I'm glad you found the fix that work for you. Since I grow fully organic. I use mineral water with high Mg content (you can find that in almost any groceries store) when i see deficiency.
@Dewdyo, thank you, I think I had that problem in my last crop. I checked now that my tap water is very soft, so I got some Calmag solution to fix the EC to 0.4 before adding nutrients.
@@vapedboy, I'm sorry for late reply, but Mg deficiency is visible with discoloration and yellowing between veins on leaves, followed by small brown patches.
