Day 0 Nov 30 - FastBuds has been gracious enough to send me a few of their test strains. FF7 is a mostly indica strain and that's all the details I know. I plan on running all of the testers in a perpetual manor 3 at a time for a 2-3 week veg and then transferred to the flowering tent. Building a drain to waste (DTW) system and will be placing the seedlings into 2 gal fabric pots filled with 80/20 coco perlite mixture fed automatically. The waste water will be used out in the garden on my culinary herbs which are also planted in 80/20 coco/perlite. 62 hours and seed has split and tap root out. Day 1 - Dec. 4 2019 - Cotyledons above ground and open. Transplanted into 12 oz solo cup with Grow!t coco coir.

Day 46 moved in to the flower tent today. Light change to 2 x qb288 RSpec ran at 100w each. It's been a bit busy around here harvesting my other grow. Waiting for my low tide 1 x 4 flood table to show up so I can set up my automatic timed feed. Day 47 got the flood tray installed, now contemplating going ebb & flow or dtw. Day 48 ordered 3rd hlg qb288 v2 rspec to bring total wattage up to 300 or 37.5w/sqft at an efficiency of 2.5 μmol/j vs avg hps of 1.7 μmol/j. Should be approximate equivalent of a 450w HPS set up or 56w/sqft. Estimated electrical cost per month based on .19/kw = $20.52 vs hps $30.78 not to mention not having to run a portable ac unit that uses more electricity than the lights and I dont have to change bulbs every other run or have 2 sets of bulbs mh and hps for veg and flower cycles. No clunky hoods taking up valuable inches inside a tent Day 49 began LST and first flooding. Will flood once per day at lights on and increase as flowering progresses. Flipping to 12/12 tomorrow.

Day 50 heavy defoiling today and today is first day of 12/12. DIY flood table is complete, if I do not like the way flooding is going with coco, I have all the parts to run it as a top feed run to waste. Day 52 pH res from 6.6 to 5.9, (12ml) more defoiling as well. Reservoir outside of tent on garage floor staying 65 to 68F. Day 54 pH 6.1 ec 1.5 temp 66F. Another round of defoiling today and adjusted lst points. Day 55 pH 6.0 ec 1.5 temp 67F. Looks like they have already drank around 6 gal this week. Will topoff res tomorrow. Day 56 pH 6.0 ec 1.5 temp 66F after res topoff of 4 gal pH 6.0 ec 1.55 temp 66F

Day 58 from sprout / Day 8 of 12/12 pH 6.3 ec 1.55 temp 65F dropped pH down to 5.7 (12ml). 3rd qb288 arrived today, hung up and moved driver outside of tent to combat the extra heat from 3rd light. Day 59 pH 5.9 ec 1.56 temp 66F grow room temp rose to 80F last night after adding new light. Will monitor over next few days to see if more airflow will be needed. Day 60 pH 6.0 ec 1.6 temp 68F grow tent temps staying about 8F above room temperature, it's been unseasonably warm past couple days. All plants now showing female 👍👍♀️♀️♀️. Performed mild large leaf defoil and adjusted lst points. Day 61 pH 5.9 ec 1.64 temp 67.8F added 3 gal nutes to res after readings pH 5.8 ec 1.64. Plants are about to begin budding any day now. Day 62 pH 6.2 ec 1.60 temp 65.8F. Will be changing res in 2 days. Day 63 pH 6.2 ec 1.59 temp 65F. Will flush all three plants tomorrow and change res.

Day 64 D. 15 of 12/12 D. 1 Flower - pH 6.2 ec 1.59 temp 65F Calling today start of flowering, they have started to stretch up now. Wasn't able to change res tonight, will do tomorrow Day 65 pH 6.3 ec 1.58 temp 66F flushed all plants with 1.3 ec nute water. Added calmag plus to my nutes regime. Complete reservoir change, no algae or slime in res 🙏👍🤘. New res pH 5.7 ec 1.8. Day 66 pH 6.0 ec 1.76 temp 64.5F Day 67 pH 6.3 ec 1.72 temp 65F, reset ph down to 5.8 (12ml of down). Day 68 pH 6.0 ec 1.78 temp 64.5F added pvc frame to combat the tent walls from sucking in. Works great so far. Dont want to lose valuable grow space. Day 69 pH 6.1 ec 1.78 temp 65F. Going to switch over to top feed system. Day 70 pH 6.2 ec 1.70 temp 65.3F added DIY top feed drip system made from sprinkler and drip line parts. Adapted to my flood inlet on my table with a ³/⁴ to ¹/²"pvc reducing bushing, 1/2" sprinkler riser, and riser drip adapter. 1/4" drip line and I used barbed Ts to make my drip rings. Set now to feed at lights on and mid light run.

Day 71 Day 22 12/12 Day 8 Flower - switching over to a drip to waste system. I can still hand flush every few days or as the plants tell me with out having a full res change. Performed a little defoil to open up the budding sites to light. Day 73 pH 6.0 ec 1.49 temp 66F will change res completely tomorrow. Plants drank and ate hard past few days. Seems to have responded very well to the last defoil. Day 74 res change reset to pH 5.9 ec 1.85 temp 66F. Cleaned flood tray and drain lines with H2O2. Mild algae growth on the table no more. As soon as vertical growth stops, will switch to bloom nutes formula. Current final NPK ratio of reservoir solution is 2.16 - 1.58 - 1.65 Day 75 pH 6.5 ec 1.65 temp 66F. pH down (10ml) to 5.9. Plants seem to be feeding well, going to add more nutes tomorrow with a little res top off. Day 76 pH 6.1 ec 1.64 temp 65F Day 77 pH 6.2 ec 1.64 temp 66F

Day 78 Day 29 12/12 Day 15 Flower pH 6.2 ec 1.68 temp 68F stretch seems to be slowing down already 🤨 they never really shot up in height much at all. If height remains stagnant next few days, will switch to bloom nutes at res change. Final defoil to open up some sights where tucking failed. Day 79 pH 6.0 ec 1.68 temp 68F flower formation seems to be picking up steam. Day 80 pH 6.0 ec 1.7 temp 67.4F will flush, change res, and switch to bloom blend tomorrow. Day 82 pH 5.9 ec 1.74 temp 66F Flushed plants with 1.4 ec, thought I had more Canna Coco than I did but I ran out but had AN sensi Bloom on hand. Changed res, pH 5.9 ec 1.7. NPK of solution 1.9 - 1.9 - 2.5 Performed one last defoil on plants. They are smallish in stature but bushy. Thinned out several leaves to get as much light to budding sites as possible. Lowered lamps to 15" which gives 55k to 60k lux. Wish I had a quantum meter. Day 83 pH 6.2 ec 1.5 temp 63F everyone seems well after defoil. Ec may be a little low, may increase tomorrow depending on what it reads.

Plants seem to be drinking a lot right now. Water level drips quite a bit daily. Day 89 ph 5.9 ec 1.7 temp 64F. Heatwave over, will transition plants to maxibloom on next res change in a day or 2. Day 90 ph 5.9 ec 1.72 temp 66F flowers are really starting to swell up now. Res change tomorrow. Added HO T5 24" Agromax Pure UV for 15 min on then off for 1 hour cycling 4 times mid light run. Placed in a bare metal reflector. Do not use plastic or plastic coated metal fixtures as these will actually absorb the uv rays vs reflecting. Day 91 pH 5.7 ec .18 temp 66f flush and res change today, switched to Maxibloom. New res pH 6.0 ec 1.82

Happy Harvest Day!

After just 46 days since transitioning, this plant was harvested. She never really swelled up and most of her pistils died back early resulting in a small yield. She grew very weak from the start and I should have scrapped her and popped a duplicate seed. Lesson learned. She does pack a decent punch and guessing her to be in the low to mid 20s. Pleasant Taste of sour citrus and cream, almost like 50/50 bar. Smoke immediately hits you right the front part of your head almost dizzying for a minute and then you feel it go down your cheeks and into your body. Warning, may induce some giggles 😆😆 and make sure you have a glass of water ready, I felt like Jim Carrey in "Me, Myself, and Irene" Ended up getting 16g of kief using dry ice method

Hey there! Thanks so much for testing these for us!! Happy Growing!
rhodes68
rhodes68commentedweek 115 years ago
Been having issues with this strain showing white tips, nuet burn, at very low TDS levels (500-700) that is just perplexing us. Had to take it down to 400 ppm to clear it up, of course that wont work as the plants would not get sufficient levels of micro nuets and deficiencies would start. Don't see the issue here, any thoughts?
rhodes68
rhodes68commented5 years ago
@Ga4rd2en0er, If we decide to stay on coco, still have DWC to explore down the road, absolutely need to set it up although the actual watering is only a few minutes. Mixing nuets takes longer honestly. We have found the shortest path to keeping the time down on grows is healthy plants :D
Ga4rd2en0er
Ga4rd2en0ercommented5 years ago
@rhodes68, that's why I set the girls up on a timed feed. Way too many secure points to try and finesse a watering can in there daily or twice daily. I'll still manually flush from time to time. For a while I was watering with a squirt bottle similar to what boxers, football players use for water. It was just way to time consuming. I'd rather spend the time looking over the plants for pests or signs of def/excess vs watering for an hour. Even with automated watering, I still spend a lot of hands on time with the ladies. I'm very happy with my lighting rig right now but thinking of adding a T5 UVB to the mix next go and run it a few hours a day mid day thru the whole cycle To simulate a "high noon"

rhodes68commented5 years ago
@Ga4rd2en0er, Being in coco and having to do this daily, watering with all the bend and secure stuff in the way just did not appeal to us. Topped once, had plans to do it again but like I mentioned, plans went out the window when tent space became a problem. So defoliation became the way to go. This would have been so easy with all four in the same tent lol 😝

What do you think of the smell from rubbing stem on 7? I am trying to guess what it is but not familiar with the smell.
Med_in_Tropic

@Ga4rd2en0er, yeah - not much smell on mine either. I am okay with that. Sometime the stink draws too much attention. Not much smell on FF 10 either.

@Med_in_Tropic, I dont know if my nose is broken but #7 doesnt really have much scent to her nor does #5, #9 is starting to get her aroma now. Usually by this stage it stinks fantastically but it's pretty mild right now.

Just about to pop my testers for the summer outdoor grow. Does any plant version seem to be quicker flower or more vigorous then others?
Ga4rd2en0er
Ga4rd2en0ercommented5 years ago
@Drtomb, out of the 3 I've grown out so far, 5 is the most vigorous, 9 smells the best, my 7 may have just been bad luck runt and is very small. Should have started 7 over. I'm only a couple weeks along for 2 and 4. Check out silverback_guerilla, he has all fft running right now.
