2019-12-08 (day 9) -not much too add, seedling is growing. Atmosphere in tent is stable, slightly colder than I'd like but nothing I'm worried about. My second Meizhi 600 showed up and I will add it most likely in week 3 or 4. I may pop 2 more seeds to grow simultaneously with these two girls, just a bit worried about the coverage of these lights, we'll see I haven't made up my mind yet. I'll likely implement nutes by the end of next week.

2019-12-16 (day 17) Good week. Introduced nutes last night, was watering with ph'd tap water (mine has been fine for all my other grows) up until then. Can't wait for them to get big enough to begin main-lining. Cool temps will remain until flower and lights are cranked up, it is what it is.

2019-12-23 (day 24) Christmas Update: Slower growth then I like, 70F daytime to 58F lights off, temp swing is definitely the culprit. I'm going to buy another timer and put a heater in there for lights off time, growth should explode. I'm not too worried in the meantime as they're going to have a long veg time do to the main-lining. Nute ratios are good, no burn or deficiencies, YET. Can't wait for this girl to explode!

2019-12-29 (day 30) Update: Slower growth should start to subside, I broke in and got a heater. Still trying to get the temps balanced as the heater is supposed to have a built in thermostat, but temps aren't holding when the lights on cycle ends. Should begin the mainline procedure later this week. She's slightly ahead of here Blue Fire counterpart, but not enough to matter.

2020-01-05 (Day 37) - Well, first shot at main-lining and I guess I got a bit too horny. After topping (probably a few days too early) I began tying down my two new mains and one split with a cut surface area probably 80%. I implemented some corrective actions by pulling of all the tie-downs and taping the mains together to help expedite the healing process. I believe I likely added an extra week of veg and caused some asymmetry but live and learn, next time I'll be a tad more patient when beginning main-lining. Nutes have been the same with a feed-water-feed schedule. I switched to using my city tap water as it has a lower EC and my sump-pump water had some sort of green tinge to it. Can't wait for her to rebound!

2020-01-12 (Day 44) - After about a week the broken limb is back to growing strong! After topping the two mains on the other side I'm left with what looks like 3 symmetric mains, two of which have a thick stock while the one that is healing is obviously thinner. I'm implementing some LST to try and flatten out the manifold, I've come to the conclusion that the stalks on this strain are just too girthy to mainline with ease. I have a couple more weeks before I switch to veg. Stay tuned!

2020-01-19 (Day 51)- Shes doing way better. I would flip to veg today however I'm going on vacation leaving in 3 days for 7 days and I am hesitant to flip to flower while unable to monitor (I've heard these Humbolt girls stretch!). So she'll undergo 10-11 more days of veg and then I'll flip her as soon as I'm home. I have someone who'll come and water while I'm gone so hopefully things don't go off the rails. This mainline is kind of fucked up one compared to my Blue Fire attempt I'm growing simultaneously. Due to my early fuck up instead of mainlining for 8 even tops I'll have 6 and they will not be symmetric. The two Meizhi 600W blurples in the tent are now switched to full strength (both flower and bloom switches) as my Purple Lemonade has begun to flower. Still alternating feed-water-feed schedule using Apple Cider Vinegar to lower my PH. Temps aren't 100% consistent as my heater seems to have a mind of its own and for 2 days it'll keep night temps at 70F and days at 78F and the next day it'll either raise them to dangerous temps or lower them to dangerous temps. While I'm gone I'm going to set it on its lowest setting as I think the threat of cold isn't as dangerous as the threat of heat unmonitored. Minimum temp possible without the heater will be 58F. Next weeks update won't be for about 11 days, stay tuned!

2020-01-29 (Day 61)- Well back from vacation and I opened the tent to find a jungle! The last 7 days they were fed plain tap water by a friend, I didn't have time to teach him how to pH my water and as my tap water is slightly on the high side I was pleasantly surprised to see no ill effects with this particular plant or my other Humbolt strain Blue Fire. I gave them a quick defoliation last night and tied them down more, tonight I fed transition nutes and switched the light schedule to 12-12. I also experimented with my phone camera to try and get better pics as per many amazing diaries on this site. My heater sucks and is slightly erratic so from here on out the only heat will be coming from my lights and the ambient temp in the basement when lights are off, not ideal but it should do. This mainline is trained for 6 colas and I doubt they'll be exactly the same size since the manifold did get a little fucked up early in veg, we'll have to wait and see.

2020-02-03 (Day 66)- Preflowers showing and I'm thankful this girl or the others didn't stretch too much. Tonight I fed bloom nutes and added two cheap "1000W" LED lights I bought when I first started growing. Again practicing my photography so my pics can be a bit blurry, please bear with me. Fingers crossed no deficiencies noted yet with this strain, stay tuned!

2020-02-10 (Day 73)- Shes flowering and stretching (not too much thank god)! She is a beast and has 6 mains roughly the same size and stature. Weird as this mainline (which I botched early in veg) has more symmetric colas than my Blue Fire (that I didn't fuck up). Knocking on wood this girl and the Blue Fire by Humbolt Seeds have been vigorous girls and reacted relatively well to my training. This is my first attempt at mainlining and so far I love it, really a great way of managing height. Water-Feed-Water schedule and she is drinking alot more, roughly 1 gal every other day. Stay tuned.

2020-02-18 (Day 81) - She continues to stretch, not quite as much as her Blue Fire sister but she keeps stretching. All 6 mains are roughly the same height leaving a pretty uniform canopy. No more heater in the tent, she malfunctioned tonight and I decided to say fuck it, I don't need an electrical hazard in my tent. They're drinking roughly a gallon every 3 days and I continue the water-feed-water schedule. Stay tuned to watch this girl grow!

2020-02-26 (Day 89) - No more stretching and holy fuck is she ever packing on the weight, this girl is going to have 6 fat colas! Heater is back up and running and now we have constant even temps. I'll pull the heater near the end of flower to try and promote some color changes in all the girls. This is my favorite grower so far, even after botching the mainline she has a very even canopy. The smell is also getting quite strong, I can't imagine how good it'll be later in flower. Nutes are remaining the same for a while. Stay tuned and watch her pack on the weight!

2020-03-04 (Day 96) - This is strain is amazing, the smell of this girl is unreal! She's showing some darkening on the leaves (most likely from the cool temps). 6 massive even colas! I'm just hoping she didn't get jizzed on by her hermie brother/sister Blue Fire as I found out it was a hermie. Stay tuned to watch her fatten up.

Grow Questions

According to the flowering time shes supposed to have 2 weeks left, for this reason I haven’t been checking the trichs. I Just checked yesterday and they’re 60% amber. I didn’t do a proper flush and she was fed up until 6 days ago, since then only water. Keep flushing or chop?

6 days? Chop er brother. As mentioned in other answers soilless shouldn't need more then 5 days to take up it's excess (From what I read, I'm no expert). I was unsure about the NL's before I chopped them and asked about a good way to take a sample and drying it quickly without completely destroying the bud. If you're unsure about the product, take a little sample, pitch it on top of your modem or gaming console if you got's one, put a little fan on it and you're good to go. In 24-36 hours you'll have a decent sample that will tell you if you have any impurities or not. This is what I determined my chop on and the bud wasn't totally screwed up👍. The way she's turned in and dis-colored + the amber trichs tells me she's totally ready to go, but a small sample to alleviate any concerns is totally worth it👍. Much luck man! If she's going to taste half as good as she looks, you've knocked this outta the park. Cheers!

2020-03-17 (Day 109) - Well she was supposed to have 2 weeks left so I haven’t been checking the trichs. I checked out of curiosity and 60% were already amber. The last day I fed mutes was 6 days ago. I’m thinking I’ll flush until this weekend and chop. Last thing I want to due is ruin these dank sweet smelling donkey dicks! Just so impressed with this strain! It’s Crazy thick, resinous and smelllllly. Definitely a must grow!

2020-03-19 (Day 111) - As per recommendations on this awesome site by great fellow growers I decided to chop her down. The soil in the pot was still pretty moist when cut and today (6 days later) she’s still pretty wet, I’m guessing 7-10 more days till trimming. This girl was nothing but a pleasure to grow and I will update weights once trimmed and effects when I trim and again 2 weeks after curing! Love the colours this girl gave me!! 2020-04-01 - Trimmed and jarred today and put out 90g of donkey dicks. Dense long colas, exactly what I was hoping for from the mainlining technique! This method also vastly cut down on trim time. I will update taste and effects in 2 weeks.
