Week One: First setup, first grow. Have no stores locally that sells the right nutrients or medium so I decided to try a free seed I got at the most budget friendly while I order nutrients as I go and get ready for my next plant after. Started with a 5gal filled with potting soil and added pure hen manure to the soil and also bone meal for roots. Struggling to maintain humidity, struggling to maintain temperature. Water is automatic irrigation at 3 oz of water in the dirt just before lights turn on. Used a wet towel until my humidifier arrives to keep humidity up, my goal was 55% but most I could do was 40%. Temperature was wild at 18.5c during night and up to 30c in the day.

Week Two: I had to leave for a week, leaving the plant alone and with a security camera, smart power bars that can be controlled over internet and one person to refill the humidifier. Managing the fans, humidifier and heat all by shutting off independently the switches on the power bar remotely from watching the camera. I have added 3 pc fans I had laying around to promote air circulation and one tower fans the turns on here and there to make her get stronger (before I left). When I came back the plant had browning of the leaves. After testing the soil I soon realized my first mistake. The soil I used had a PH level of 5.8. I will explain what I did in the next week to fix the issue. The plant had doubled in size from week one. Since I'm watering on a timer I'll be very honest. It was a really good choice. Watering the plant on a schedule and now watering 6oz daily. This really really did good for my plant since I keep the soil wet long enough for her to have enough water yet not damp too long so there is no pests or flies. By watching the camera I see when she needs water and shes has been doing really good with the amounts given. Temperature varied from 26 to 29c during daylight, 18.5 to 19.5c night Humidity varied from 38 to 40%

Week 3: I had to leave for work and therefor was gone a the entire week. Since I'm doing this on a budget I bought an automatic irrigation system to water my plants. I also bought two power strips that can be accessed remotely and can power each outlet independently. This allowed me to start and stop fans, humidifier and the tower fan from my phone. After spotting the brown leaves at my return I quickly made some test and found the soils PH at 5.8. I added Dolomite Lime (28g) as a top feed. Dolomite Lime will help neutralize the soil's ph and prevent further damage. After a day or 2 you could see that it helped so I took a few more samples of the soil and PH was up to 6. I decided to add another 28g because when I made my tests I used soil in a cup and adjusted the measurement accordingly and added more Dolomite lime to my cup and got a result of 6.3PH. My goal is between 6.3 to 6.5 all the time. Temperature was between 25c to 28c Day and 18c to 19c at Night Humidity 45% to 50%, Still having trouble with maintaining humidity, goal was 55% Forgot to take the height but it pretty much doubled in size.

Week 4: Ok now it smells, It smelled last week but was less noticeable, at least you could have essential oils cover the smell but not anymore. The plant wins this round. Smells like I just smoked a joint in the house (Smells good, but it's not very discrete anymore). I added more Pure Hen Manure 5-3-2 ( No measurements, just added about 2-3 tbsp. Top feed ) Temperature is pretty stable at 26c Humidity is now pretty good at 50% - 55% depending on outside weather. Each time I add top feed I water down with 2 cups of water even tho my irrigation waters every day. Helps get the nutrients in. I know I should use Vegetation nutrients but I don't have any at this time and they are not in my current budget considering shipping and I would need to order much more stuff like power bloom for flowering. So I decided to try and get the best yield with what I have access too. Will just have to see in the end. Not expecting much yield but I am having fun.

Looking at other plants, mine seems to be full of big leaves and prevents light to prime bud sites. Growing an auto with the lowest amount of stress I can give I am wondering if I should trim the leaves that prevent the most light to prime areas. Thank you

Hey there Shaden, all i can say is that plants have a way of hypnotising you and making you do what they want more than what you want. Let me just say, follow your plan because actually when your grow space is closed it's a lot brighter than when it's open so light is hitting a lot more places than when you're physically looking or manipulating the plant. Think of it this way : light on (potential) flower nodes triggers the plant to stop stretching and enter into flowering. You're already in pre-flowering and the plant has not stretched, meaning you've done everything right and the grow is going very well. My best advice is dont cause shock during the flower stretch and keep doing what you're doing, hope this helps ! 🚀

Week 5: So this week I am focusing on getting the most light to prime bud sites. Pulling the very big leaves down and letting the prime bud sites grow through. As I said before I have few available nutrients available locally so I have to buy online. Since ordering online meant I had to buy nutrients for a little over 100$ I decided to test with this plant and have fun with it. I did find a few nutrients to help me at a local hardware store such as Hen Manure, Dolomite Lime and some Bone Meal. I did also buy some Flower Bloom and had to return it cause it wasn't good anymore. So bottom line, I should use and would love to use nutrients but can't for this plant. But next one I will have a grow tent and nutrients at my disposal. All in all for a almost no nutrients plant I'm pretty happy so far.

Week 6: Day one of week 6... getting impatient but at least I think she will be very nice. Added a few close up images since all my pictures are from the fixed camera. Wasn't sure if it was in flowering stage yet but was told it was in pre-flowering stage which I thought it might of been. I just don't know what is the cut off between veg, pre-flower and flowering. But this morning I took a few pictures and can see the buds getting bigger. I could see where the buds would grow with hairs and all but they didn't grow much... This morning they did.

Week 8: Just great, I am at the end and we have a huge power failure and was left with no power for 36 hours. Canada in winter no heat/lights nor water my grow room temperature dropped to 7 within 16 hours. Since we didn't know how long it would be I had to move the plant to someone else's place until we get power back... From that day buds stopped fattening and started browning. I have to leave her alone in 7 days for a week so I'm waiting as much as I can so she can dry while I'm away.

Week 9: Getting ready to upgrade my grow room ordering me some upgrades for next grow, also prepping my drying area for harvest. I'm pushing as much as I can hopefully in 2 or 3 more days. I'd say about 80% of calyx are brown and the trichomes are about 25% fogged. As long as I don't spot a browning trichome I'm gonna wait. Otherwise I might end up with a crispy dry weed If its out to dry too long Well it's done, trichomes are 70% frosted very little clear. Decided to Harvest day one of Week 10. Next week I need to fix a few of my comments, I messed up and confused weeks from my real journal. Anyways you will get the end dry results once dried and curing.

Happy Harvest Day!

Was really easy to grow, I used nutrients I could find in local stores which was very limited and still had great results. I expected much less harvest. It has now been 4 weeks of curing, I intend to keep curing for another 4 weeks. I stole a little sample and I got to say, I'm really happy. I got a good yield out of this seed and the taste is great, not harsh at all and quick to hit. I grew this plant as a test, basically just let her grow with the basic necessities. I controlled the environment as best I could, and used an automated irrigation system, I always tend to over water so this helped. With a little research and help I was able to get all that out of basic things. I can't wait to see what she can do in my new setup! Killer Kush Auto 2 coming soon 😏👊

It's still curing, I couldn't resist. Smooth and it did not take long before I started feeling better. Pulled out 33g, more then I was expecting. I'm very happy with the results and this made it fun to grow. Based on the yield and simple care and distilled water set to 6.3pH I'd say I would not hesitate to grow this strain again. I'm going to try more strain and eventually will be growing this again.

@CRiSPrGrow, Yes, Thank you very much for your answer, it is in fact very helpful and telling me I'm on the right track. I was not sure if I was in pre-flowering stage but you just confirmed it for me. Before I got your answer I did trim 2 or 3 leaves from the bottom they were very dry, brittle and yellow/brown from very early issue. I felt she would recover better from the trim then the actual drying cracked/damaged leaves. Again, much appreciated. Thank you for feedback 👊

The Drying took about 6 days, I actually had to since I had to leave for a while. I kept the room at 18°C and between 45% and 50%. I did have a fan flowing the air in the room but never was directly on the buds. Now it has been curing for a little over 2 weeks. I'll let you know when the curing is complete. Cheers
the end.
