They really took off with the flora bloom nutes.
-I had just gotten the flora bloom specifically for flowering after feeding my plants only Alaska Fish ferts throughout the whole veg
They were loving the new nutrient regimen stacking on weight and starting to show lots of trichome production, this is when they really started to smell alot more as well, sweet pine-ish earthy dankness greeted me every time I’d check on the ladies.....
Two of the plants started showing purple and trichs are starting to really pile on, this is when they also began to really reek up my house, i’d put the girls outside for a few hours most days when the sun was out and they would just reek over night and punch you in the face with stank the next morning, the whole basement smelled amazing haha.
I also got a cheap jeweller’s loupe and figured I could tape it to my ipad to get some close up bud porn pics, was having a blast anxiously waiting for my harvest.
Tops are exploding with more purple and trichs, they just keep getting more dank, some days they smelled like sweet earthy coffee and others they smelled like pure dank donair meat or gym socks.....
Look at all the damn purple, almost finished now, i was so tempted to cut them every day at this point but held off thanks to using the loupe to check trich ripeness. Leaves were so purple they were almost red
Mt.Rainier is definitely more of an indica strain being a Northern Lights X White Lotus, stacked on trichs like mad from the White Lotus lineage, Smells and tastes like a pinecone dipped in diesel fuel with a hint of sweet lemon. Really good bud with a nice calm chilled out but functional indica high, a perfect daytime indica with a musky dankness to the smell and beautiful green and purple buds with orange hairs to look at with a nice balanced uplifting high that makes whatever you’re doing after you smoke it that much better.
This was an amazing experience being a complete noob to growing picking up knowledge and the gear I needed as I went with the grow, i wanted my first grow to be a tester grow with some old seed I had from a few years back so it wouldn’t be much of a loss if I botched the whole thing, i went with bare bones nutrients feeding only Alaska fish fertilizer throughout the whole veg process and switching to General Hydroponics Florabloom for flowering, i damn near drowned them around week 3 after reading about feeding from the bottom lol, i thought they were goners for a bit there but they persevered and came back strong and gave me a nice pile of top quality bud in the end.
They were flushed for a week and a half and then left in pure dark for 3 days at the end before they were all cut, trimmed and hung to dry in a room with controlled humidity at 55% which took them roughly 10 days to dry enough to be jarred, day after jarring I found the bud was too damp still so i dumped all the buds into a box for an additional 2 days of drying which got them where they needed to be for curing. Cured for 3 weeks with daily burping while of course having some tester nugs weekly to see how they changed, it was never harsh smoke even days after being cut so I knew it would be really nice when cured. Still enjoying my original grow stash almost 5 months later and I must say the buds are still improving although the taste and cure was excellent around the 3 week-1 month point, been one helluva adventure and great learning experience growing this beautiful plant, For a first time grow i couldn’t be more happy and can’t wait to see what I can do with more experience and knowledge in the future.
