I am starting a search for a heavier indica keeper for IBS muscle spasms. Hoping one of these 3 is a good one to keep around for a while. Added in a Sativa dominant Amnesia Lemon for some diversity. These will veg and have clones taken and flowered out after I run some FastBuds testers under the 2-600 w LEDs. They will be in 2 gal pots of 50/50 fox farm ocean forest and sunshine #4. Once the ffof nutrients are depleted I will be using the HOG nutrient lineup again as I had good results last time and won 2 cases, so might as well use it. Seeds started to soak on Dec 5th and planted in 2x2x4 planters on Dec 8th in a clone done as it’s very dry here. RH is 35% Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

Day 7: these girls all broke ground last Sunday Dec 8 and shot up a lot...too much. They are about 3 inches tall and starting their second set of true leaves. I took the dome off and increased to RH with a humidifier. I have the temp controller set to 80 degrees and and the RH is about 65%. They are under a 300w Mars LED at til they get some legs and can handle more light. The Vanilla Kush needed some support but has regained some rigidity and is standing on its own. So far everything is going ok, a bit of light yellowing but I’m waiting for the medium to dry out before giving its first watering. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 14: I haven’t started seeds in a while and think I slightly overwatered these girls last week. They are taking too long to dry, so less water next time. I used about 3 oz of light supplement solution and the macro nutrients are in the ocean forest soil. There was run off from each pot. I used 10 ml/ gal of gold storm, 10ml/g of sea storm and 2ml/g of cal mg, 220 ppm 6.3 ph. It’s been 7 days and the pots are still have some weight to them. I switched over to the 600w led and they have taken to the extra wattage. I had a fair bit of stretch, but that seems to have subsided some, they need to be propped now til transplant. They’re working on the third or fourth node right now. They’re sharing a tent with my Fastbuds testers, 3/4 broke ground today and the last one should be out by tomorrow. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 21: These plants have done really well this week. They got transplanted from the cells to 2 gal nursery pots with a fresh mix of sunshine, FFOF and perlite. They don’t seem to be too shocked as all their tops And fans were turned Up within a couple hours. After transplant they were watered with the supplements and cal mag. They are roughly on their 6 node, I’m going to let them grow a bit more before I top. I removed the fan leaf that was blocking the light on each plant. The Amnesia Lemon is having a deficiency that I’m going to have to look into. I’m hoping the new medium will rectify this problem or my ph is too low and will have it closer to the 6.7 range. 🤦‍♂️ Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

Day 28: These girls got moved over into the veg tent to free up light for the FastBuds Autos. They are liking the MH bulb in there. It is causing some stretch which is fine with me. I have tied down the longer branches to open up the plants and removed the tiny first node and single leaf “fans” They are also liking the FFOF soil and the PH change from last week. Idk why I didn’t think of that earlier. Everything is going ok, except for the yellowing on the Amnesia Lemon, but it’s not getting any worse. All 4 main shoots have been topped and a couple side branches. Maybe got a bit carried away with the “LST” and may be more like HST of the main stock. I added an Exhale CO2 bag to the veg tent where these girls are and a tnb naturals CO2 to the Fastbuds tent which are passively connected. Things are coming along so I won’t complain. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

Day 35: I decided to top these ladies down from 7 to 2 or 3 nodes depending on branch structure and topped each branch coming off the main stem. The side branches were tied down to open up the canopy and so far it's coming along. Other than that the just got a feeding of 2ml/L Micro and Cal mag and 4ml/L of Bloom. There’s no rush for these girls to be a certain size or anything, they’re going to have cuts taken and run next time to see how they produce and what effects they have on my ailments. I’m trying to narrow my mothers to 3 or 4 solid strains and go from there. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

These ladies are enjoying themselves. When they grow I retighten the wires to open them up. Each branch has been topped and a couple of the secondary tops are ready for topping again. They are coming along and are probably ready for a transplant to a bigger pot which I think would help speed up growth. Like I’ve said, I’m in no rush as the flower tent has the autos that haven’t started flowering yet. So far so good. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

These plants are just doing their thing. Once the autos start to flower I will take cuts to run in the flower tent next time. They are growing well, and liking the environment. They are being fed micro, Bloom, cal mag, b vitamin and hydrogen peroxide. They are liking the hydrogen peroxide and I can see a difference the next day. I am looking forward to seeing what happens with these. The zkittles, Amnesia lemon and vanilla kush are growing very well, the critical kush is on the smaller side and is about half the size. I am just doing LST and opening up the canopy. I’m sure they would benefit from a transplant to a larger pot. I have topped all the secondary tops as well. Happy Growing 🌱

These plants all got a defoliation this week, plain water feeding and have stretched a bunch which is perfect as I plan to take some cuts once I have room in that tent. Everything is going fine and I’m looking forward to getting these clones started. There’s is a photo of each pre and post defoliation. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

So here we start again. I took clones for next run, I have: Critical Kush Vanilla Kush Zkittles Amnesia Lemon Jack Herer Cali Kush CBD I don’t know the exact plan for next round, but I figured I’d get them started. I have thought about low manifolded plants with 4-8 tops or multiple cuts per pot with 2 tops each. Not sure yet. I followed Justin Time’s Clone method from YouTube and only had one cut not root (it was a bit of a shitty cut and ended up drying out and I had enough so I removed it) This method works awesome and have had great success since I started using it. Plugs dont get saturated, roots push out quickly and leaves don’t yellow. I also tried just putting the gelled cut into perlite in a solo and sitting on a layer of wet perlite. It also worked awesome as you can see in the picture. The 2 root pics are day 11 of rooting when I planted the plugs in sunshine and perlite. Otherwise it’s going good and I can’t wait to get these vegged out and flowering. It’s been a long time coming. If you have any idea for me to try I’d love to hear them. I’m always trying to get the most out of my space. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

These clones are pushing roots out like crazy. Some are 6” long out the bottom of the perlite lined tray in both the perlite and soilless pots. The big plants are shading them from the intense light of the 750w mh. Still not 100% sure what I’m going to do next run or how many of these girls I’ll be keeping but I have a good home for the ones I don’t keep. So far everything is going well. A couple have a bit of tip curl so next watering will be plain water. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

I have just been begging these plants waiting to put them over to the flower tent. They are in 5 gal plastic pots, checked the roots and they’re cooling around the bottom already. This week I’ll move them into 7 gal fabric pots, trim them down as some have stretched from low light levels. There is about a week of drying time for the flowers, so these ones should be done stressing from transplant and growing well. Thinking I’ll run these in a Scrog and put 1 vivosun 600 w (277 true watts) over the Vanilla kush and 1 over the zkittles. They stretch if they don’t get a good amount of light. The Amnesia Lemon and critical kush are stacking really well and think these will be better yielding plants and require less light. This has been a long time coming but I’m very excited to get these into the flower tent. To all my fellow front line medical staff members grinding it out, front line essential service providers and all of you doing the right and tough thing of staying home, keep it up. Happy Growing 🌱

This week I wove these into a Scrog and opened them up in the flower tent. Things are looking good. Did some defoliation of lower bud sites and suckers before I flip these into flower in a couple days. I’m just making sure the things are right before I flip. I fed today with the HOG supplements as last time. Used: 1.5ml/L of Micro, Bloom and Cal mag 2ml/L of Black Storm and Gold storm 1 tsp/gal of red sun 725 ppm 6.0 ph EDIT: Apr 16 So I forgot to check my light timer and it has been on 15 hours on, so I am starting to see some transitions with new growth lightening and will be putting them into full flower in the next couple days.

Day 1 Flower: It’s finally on!!! I made a bit of a mistake not resetting my light timer to 18 hours, so these plants started to transition on monday when they went into the flower tent. So, we’re ready to start flowering. So clockwise around the tent we have FL: Amnesia Lemon RL: Vanilla Kush RR: Critical Kush Zkittles is removed cuz it ended up herming. This will be my second grow with the LEDs and hopefully we get a finer end product than the last ones. They are quite airy, but covered in thick trichomes. 🤞 They got woven into a trellis net and may need a second layer depending on how tall they get. I stopped defoliating when I realized they had started flower and aren’t showing any signs of stress. I could see a difference in canopy overnight. I am going to see how they are looking in 2 weeks under the LEDs and if they need more light I’ll swap the 1000w hps over. So far so good!!! Happy Growing 🌱

Hi growers. I put these feminized photo seeds into flower last week. I am wondering, is this a hermie? These look like balls to me, but the the other half of the plant has the female cone with pistols starting. If I need to get rid of this plant right now, cool. Thanks a lot. 🌱

Hi I am having a leaf issue late in week 6. It’s been coming on a while. I’m wondering if the ph is out or too high ppm. 7 gal pots in a Scrog, it’s hard to test runoff. I’m starting to flush now so does it matter as much as long as ph is good? More wondering for next run. Thanks

So if you checked my entry from last week, I updated it to as the Zkittles ended up being male or hermie. Day 7: These plants were fed today with 685 ppm with 1.5 ml/L of HOG Micro and Bloom, 1ml/L of Green Planet Rezin, 1ml/L cal mag and 2ml/L of Green Planet GPF Uptake fulvic acid, PH 6.0. I have been trying to gently move pots and branches to fill the space left by the zkittles and still maintain a level canopy. I have raised the light inch by inch as the plants grow to hopefully have a more tall stacked cola structure. There is 1 light primarily over the Vanilla kush as it seems to want to stretch more than the others and I want to keep its internodes as tight as possible. I have high hopes for the Amnesia Lemon as it’s branch structure could end up producing some solid clusters. The critical kush is similar, Good stacking but lesser branching. There is buds starting on every plant. I contribute that to the week of 14 hours of light and the 2 doses of HOG red sun which helps stacking and speeds up transition to flower. I am excited to see what happens with these over the next couple days and long term what these Barney’s seeds can do. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱 I am going to update this entry as the week progresses and see how I like that. Update: Day 10- I was away from home working my night shifts and returned home to find dozens of nice little budlets have formed. The plants seem quite happy, color is good, which I like to see cuz I always under feed N in the first bit. I did some mild defoliation to open up lowers. Stems are nicely stacking and about 6” over the trellis. I bent down the stretching Vanilla tops to keep canopy as even as possible.

Day 14: These plants are coming along well. The CK and AL are stacking up nicely, the VK is stretching up above the canopy. I have done some LST over the past week. VK stems are getting more firm and I’m concerned about snapping stems. I don’t think I’m at super cropping territory yet. I did some minor defoliation on crowded areas. I can’t wait til next week once stretch is mostly over. There is a ton of leaf to come off. The buds are coming in nicely for day 14. I’m hoping to get a couple more inches of stretch on these tops over the next week or so. I increased the temps and Rh and the plants really took off. This week I only watered with silicate at 5ml/gal cal mag at 1ml/ L 2ml/L of carbs at 420 ppm and 6.1 ph. I will continue to update this entry during the week. Thanks for checking in. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 21: These plants have been chugging along pretty well. I am definitely happy with where they are right now. Pretty much just watching this week. All I’ve done this week is feed with 2ml/L or micro, resin and carboload, 3ml/L of black storm, 4ml/L bloom and 1/3 tsp/gal bud fusion. Ppm was 910 ph 6.05. I can’t wait to defoliate them. There are so many leaves I want to remove to let the light in. The under growth is yellowing and wilting badly from light deprivation. Once I open up this canopy and let the light through I’m thinking I’ll see some good growth lower down. I’ve only been removing leave where they’re badly bunched up or covering bud sites. About 8-12 every couple days to not stunt them. I was expecting more stretch, but as of now the tops are 8-10 inches tall. C’est la vie when you run something for the first time. Thanks, Happy growing🌱 Day 23: I did a hard leaf strip today as the light wasn’t going anywhere. All the lower bud sites were tiny, leaves dying and falling off under the trellis and very little air flow. I removed a whole 3 gal pot with leaves, lower small stems and lollipopped some stems with a decent top bud up in the canopy. I’m loving it. Idk if it was maybe a touch early, but I usually do it in week 3-4 and 7-8. Also plants were dry so watered with super thrive, cal mag, Rezin, black storm and carboload. Ppm 270, ph 6.0.

They are starting to grow again after the heavy leaf strip of last week. Buds are as big around as golf balls already and about 10-12 inches long and growing nicely. I’m pumped seeing these Barney’s Genetics that I’ve been growing for so long, doing well. Thanks for checking in, Happy Growing 🌱

Day 37: When I did the defoliation I stressed the shit out of these plants...woops. It took 7 days to fully dry out the medium. They are back in action tho, needing to be watered after 3 days. They are fattening up nicely with tons of trichomes. I started using Rezin by Green Planet and I contribute some of that to Rezin by Green Planet. The smells in there are awesome. I particularly like the Amnesia lemon. It’s like a sweet blueberry lemonade smell. The other 2 have a lot of smell but nothing specific yet, hoping I get a pheno with heavy sweet vanilla I think that would be cool. The buds are feeling quite dense. I moved the light up to 22” from 18 because I’m getting a slight leaf condition that looks light too much light in the overlap of the 2 lights. Did get a some upward growth since doing it 2 days ago. I did find 2 seeds on the critical, I scoured all over looking for a banana but didn’t find one. I pulled the seeds off and am looking daily for more of either. I had a couple days of mid 90s 2 weeks ago. I’m hoping the silicate and c02 helped buck that heat. I’m liking how this is turning out. We’ll see what happens. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 42 flower: The plants are just cruising along. I have been moving the lights when I see hot spots. I’ve got 2 more weeks of feeding before I start to flush. Week 7 I’m going to do a lower ppm feeding as I’m pretty sure the runoff has high ppms. I’ll find out as the next watering will be plain with silicate. Fed with 825 ppm 5.7 ph. 0.75 micro, 2/L bloom, Rezin, overdrive, carboload, cal mag, heavy bud pro. The Vanilla Kush is dark green, thinking minor N toxicity, that’s why I dropped the N. Critical is getting some tip burn and Amnesia is just starting on the very tips. All are very dense buds like hard already. Hoping to get them to chunk up some and get a good kush structure. Otherwise, no defoliation, no training, nothing. Just water or feed when dry. We’ll see how it goes. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 49: I did my last feeding on day 46. Just going to use molasses and supplements til harvest. I’m going to push the kushs that are 55 day strains til day 63 when the amnesia should be done. The kushs are pushing out new white pistils and making some small foxtails. I raised the light closer to 24” to finish these off. The amnesia lemon has a sweet blueberry Lemonade smell and the buds are moderately firm with lots of red hairs. The vanilla kush is dark green with new white hairs, slight foxtailing, quite firm and have a pine forward scent. The Critical kush has a lime green color, new white pistils, starting to get a light purple color with a lighter pine flavor. Just going to flush and watch these plants ripen up and fade for 2 more weeks. Happy Growing 🌱

Day 56: Things are going well over here, plants are ripening and fading out. Nice purple and yellow on the VK and CK, foxtails forming on both as well. The AL is a 9 week strain so it’s got a bit longer. Flush is going well, had an average runoff of 800-850 and will be running it down to my water ppm in the next couple days using florokleen. I’m done using the Rezin and carboload and overdrive now, just flushing. Harvest is around the corner, these plants are pretty fast in comparison to what I’ve run before and I’m impressed with the el cheapo leds from vivosun. Top buds are not too tall, but hard hard. I may raise the light a bit next time to get some more stretch. Smells range from the delicious blueberry lemonade on the AL to more piney forward scent of the CK and VK. I’ll touch more on that in the harvest section. So for now, just watch and wait for a couple Amber trichomes and then they get the snip. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

These Barney’s Farms plants grew for 59 days. I noticed one or two bananas starting to pop out so I pulled the plug. They sat in pure darkness for 144 hours as shit kept coming up. During that time temps were 72 and 40%. I think they look pretty damn good for a first run with really not a lot of work. On this next run I added some perlite to decrease days between water/feed and more flushes in my FFW schedule and increase roots from drying out. Trichomes are all large and gritty, all cloudy throughout, with some amber on the VK and CK (55 day), AL is a 63 day strain, has few amber. It pretty much just my wife and I using it, so we don’t mind a long cure if that’s what it takes, better than bananas all over. I’ll do the dry weights and more on smells once it’s cured up some but for now; Amnesia lemon: It’s my favorite smell. It’s unique, berries, lemon, sour, sweet. I’ve said it all along blueberry lemonade. Hope the effect is nice too. Vanilla Kush: is a sweet pine forward, floral, mellow aroma I would pitch this pheno as necessarily vanilla, but nice nonetheless. Critical Kush: is a pine forward, but very sour in a mouthwatering way. I’m pumped to try all these and get the next round going. I’m gonna need a mother tent here soon, I started planting those seeds in my wife’s ear a while ago 🤫 😆 More to come in the harvest report. Happy Growing 🌱

This strain is a good overall strain depending on your mood and what’s going on. It can be quite chill or slight energy boost. I get talkative with a clear head. My wife calls this the “Get shit done strain” seems like every time we have some we end up washing screens or each take a room and clean. Id say it has a minor arousing effect, easy to feel good when you feel balanced and chill energy inside. Idk haha works for us. We like it and it’s already flowering again. Great strain from Barney’s Farms, distributed by Herbies.

This was my first photo grow with LEDs, and the first run with this strain. I’m happy with the results, I’d push this plant closer to 65-70 days to potentially get more potency and yield. These plants stayed in darkness for longer than I had wanted(almost a week) due to friggin life. Their drying process was very long as the humidity in the house was 60%. I had fans circulating and a scrubbing exhaust fan. Then we went to the lake and I started jarring there. Just adapt and overcome haha. All in all this next run will have less away from home distractions 🤞and I’ll be able to do these plants a better service in the drying and will see some even better results. That being said I collected 100 grams of nice dense buds covered in smaller trichomes. And 25-30 grams of smaller and airy larf for edibles. I thought I lollipopped enough, also I’m gonna try running the lights lower come week 3 of flower to get more density. She did hermie at the end, and I maybe pulled a couple days early, I had autos flowering in the other side. Thanks, Happy Growing 🌱

This strain is very relaxing. More physical than mental relaxation. It’s an enjoyable pheno, but idk if it’s the best with its style of effects I’ve ever had. I am currently running it again to compare results. I like the effect, but the smell, taste, yield and fact that I’m finding seeds leaves me leaning away. We’ll see how next round is.

This pheno really stretched causing smaller buds to form under the tops buds. The top buds were bulbous but did not stack up. There are also seeds present which I’m not thrilled about, but unsure why it happened. As I said above, I’d like to see what happens in the next round before I decide to keep or cut. I took 100 grams of quality buds, but they have seeds. There is about 25 grams of light and small buds for edibles. Overall decent effects, but this pheno has left me wanting more.

This bud is very relaxing, calming, mildly euphoric. It has taken a long time to fully dry up and cure. It is still changing in its effects but fairly consistent. It Smells a bit funky, like sour skunk, pine and earthy. Not the nicest aroma. But nice smoke.

This was a pretty easy grow, plant didn’t stretch too much but ended up with some good weights. I decided to run it again to see what the comparison was between the 2 runs and have since decided to try something else. Not that it isn’t nice, this pheno just isn’t what I want to run for a keeper. Got some good weight, some good buds and moving on. Happy Growing 🌱
