The White cookies were pretty slow to germinate and sprout, but by 3 days after planting all 3 had broken through.
Im also doing Crown Royale, but this diary is about the White Cookies. Ive started 6 in total and plan on finishing 4 and giving one of each to my friend to finish.
Im sprouting them in my tent's cloning racks and once ive got some leaves going I will move into the main 4x4 part of the tent under an LED light set to Veg.
just feeding distilled water every 2 days. about 120 ml per plant and give the lil' BBs a spray everyday. running a heater and a humidifier on switches at 25 c and 68 %
At the beginning of this week i figured i had some sets of leaves, so i might as well move these into the main part of the tent under the LED.
growth seemed to almost stop, and i assume its focused on roots rn. By the end of the week i fed the soil some Molasses. The plant seems to be vegging a bit.
These Girls are growers, but not really showers. Not the prettiest leaf formations I've seen. My other strain looks nicer, but the girl scout is dear to my heart. I know the buds will be just loverly.
Started some light Nutes this week and made a better co2 genny with a bubbler. the tube from that is fed to behind my fan which is distributing that around the tent. Ive got no Co2 meter to see the ppm but im sure its doing its thing.
Ive been keeping my light nice and close so they are coming in short and bushy.
Other people are doing 24hr light veg cycles, but i feel there must be some merit to a bit of darkness each day. I raised my light schedule to 20 on 4 off. I may even go up to 21/3 in a week or 2.
I switched my light to full spectrum, which was providing a bit more light and heat, so I raised it to like 1 ft. The manufacturer suggests 16” but I’m trying to keep my nodes close together. So far these are coming in super short and bushy.
Introduced some micro nutes and and a bit of Future Harvest’s easy bloom+ to the feed schedule.
1 of these was a bit taller than the others so near the end of the week I topped her and started a lil’ LST to expose those nodes better.
I have to leave town a few days so I just set up a little drip irrigation system to give some fresh water every 2 days while I’m gone. These ladies are due for a flush anyway.
Big week for these White Cookies! Started with a good flush and foliar feeding.
I gave one of the 3 to my friend,,,, He will make clones with it for his hydro setup.
Where I live it’s Legal to grow 4 plants, and I started 6, (including 3 crown royales) with the intention of downsizing to 4 plants total.
I have 2 WC plants here now that I repotted into 7 gal fabric.
Topped the 2nd one this week and did some LST.
I’ve named the 2 plants Eniko and Becky. I might play them some music. Drop a comment... what should I play?
Eniko is short and bushy with hardly any space between nodes so the LST is minor just pulling some branches to expose nodes.
Becky had a little bit more stretch so I did a bit more extreme LST and bent the main stem right over exposing all these other nodes.
The plants are nice and healthy, showing like 7-8 points that could turn into colas. Growth has been slow the last few days due to transplant shock but my 1 gal pots were almost root bound so it’s good I transplanted when I did. I added another “1000w” LED and another clip fan yesterday, she back on the nutes.... I think these babies bout to blow up!
Will a node that is from a bottom branch still produce a fat cola if it’s up in the canopy the same height as the top buds? Or does it need to be a top bud?
They are looking nice and healthy! And yes, any lower branch that grows even with the top will produce a nice fat bud the same as your main branches. That is why it is important to try to get light down to as many branches as possible. I take off a couple of the bottom nodes in veg but leave most of them there. As my plants go through the flowering stretch I watch the lower branches to see which ones are growing to the top. If a branch isn't growing up trying to fight its way to the top then I cut it off. I also remove big leaves from the top that are blocking light to the lower branches. It is definitely a learning process to see how they react and find a training style that works for you. Good luck!
Started using t stakes to do my LST rather than tying. Not as much growth as I thought I might see in these new 7 gal. pots, but they’ve filled out a bit and the canopy is even, so I’m gonna flip these into flower for a stretch next week.
Coming along nicely. Flipped these into flower and they are starting to stretch. Added some calimagic to my solutions to try and combat some brown spots a was seeing here and there
Still stretching, bud sites forming nicely. Trying to get my humidity down, I bought a humidifier from vivosun, same company that makes my tent, it is removing water from the air but still.... 60 rh. I’ve tried all the things online I can find. This week I’m gonna do some heavier defoliation to try and open up airflow under my canopy. Will the temp differences inside/outside the tent raise humidity?
Good week for these 2 White Cookie plant. not much to report other than bud sites all filling out nicely. I put in a ScrOG last night right after i took most of these pics. Bud sites all up the branches are getting light now. plants are short and thick, so im thinking I'll have some nice fat nugs.
Still battling humidity a bit. Seems to spike in the morning. I can get it lower if i open the lower window giving the tent a 2nd intake, but i dont really want that open during the dark cycle.
These girls are growing themselves for real. Ive had no problems with this strain so far, knock on wood. 4-5 more weeks i think.
Got the humidity sorted by adding a 2nd intake hole. Averaging about 45%
Added some new nutrients to my feed, buds slowly fattening up. My plants are short so I hope they make up for it in girth. One of these WC has a little bit of nute burn, but over all they have been very resilient.
-not a bad week, although Eniko (the bigger one) is showing signs of nutrient burn. i was mixing it up with some powder ton o bud samples i got at a trade expo. The instructions on the pack didnt jive with the nute calculator... i might have over fed PK in week 4 and 5.
-im back on the regular schedule of liquid nutes for the last week or so. getting pretty close buds are still fattening up not really maturing yet on these 2.
-this next week i'll start watching the tricomes. I have 2 strains going with what appears to be maybe 3 phenotypes, so ill start my flush when i have a nice average of cloudies.
- The room starting to stink real nice, even though im running a carbon filter. Thats OK though.
Buds are maturing nicely, but Eniko's leaves were showing some nute burn, but now its some pretty bad brown spots alll along the spines.
Gave em one last nutrient feed with some extra CaliMagic.
The trikes are a mix of clear cloudy and amber, so im gonna prob start flushing next week.
I have a carbon filter but the room is stinking anyway and when i open the tent... oh Lord.
Well I gave these girls a flush, then a feeding of plant flush and then a ph water feed.
Tricomes looking like some good ambers but the Lil one Becky not as mature yet. the 2 plants will feel different id imagine.
I think ill Drop temp for a day or 2 then try the 48 hr darkness technique before a chop at the end of this next week.
Let's Goooo. I'm pretty pumped. Just Gave my BBs a lil' Haircut for the photos before giving them the chop.
Trikes are at like 30% amber. Ill follow up soon with a yield.
Phew, This strain is Bomb dot com. Great bag appeal, smell, taste and high are on point.
I'm 1 week into curing and when you open the jar you get smacked in the face with the smell.
Cheese, Cloves, and a touch of pine or eucalyptus. all in the bottom and middle of your nose.
The smoke tastes like Flowers, cloves, and eucalyptus.
Ash burns clean and she stays lit but burns nice n slow.
The high is just right for me.
Relaxed, happy, Giggly, heavy eyes, body and head high. munchies, no burnout. good vibe for real.
I think I may have 2 phenotypes, and have only tried Eniko. Ill update this if i find Becky has different characteristics after some more curing.
Very happy with this grow as its my first time and my White Cookie jars smell crazy good. I grew these along side 2 Crowne Royales (also Crop King Seeds). The WC are def smelling the best!
I think I got 2 different Phenotypes. Both look great. One I named Eniko who was my best yielder, as well as the buds with the best bag appeal. The other named becky was a smaller plant but still an alright yield and she was probably the prettiest, most photogenic plant of the group.
I found that this strain was super easy to grow but required large amounts of CalMag mid flower.
Eniko provided 61.5 gr and Becky only 48.5 gr
Total yield of 110 grams. + a few gr of Bubble Hash :)
Combine that with the the 106.5 gr i pulled off the pair of Crown Royales and i pulled almost a half pound out of my 4x4
Not bad… I’ll do better from here on out. I learned alot!
The main thing I learned is that Heavy LST and bending the whole plant over sort of stunted growth and was more work that didnt really pay off. Eniko was just topped with gentle LST to expose bud sites. She was bigger, yielded more, with nicer, more mature buds and better flavours.
also I should have transplanted sooner. I was surprised at how far the roots will stretch out in a short period of time.
My next grow I started in Jiffy pots then gonna transplant directly into my fabric pots to avoid getting root bound.
I top my plants to make 4 main branches. If you look at them, all of the other buds come from lower side branches. You can get the same results with lst.
