The Blue Dream'Matic is a fantastic plant, and I would definitely grow the strain again. It is a huge yielder, producing 200g of dried bud from the single plant. It almost over grew my tent, and would have yielded even greater if it had more than 3-4sqft of designated growing space under the HLG100 light. There was very little room to train the plant at a certain point, and the branches were so long after the flowering stretch that some of the lowest buds remained underdeveloped. This ended up as another 20g in the trim pile (not included in total weight).
The buds themselves are very hard and crystalized, with a nice frosty density and moderate amount of sugary leaf material. The buds are fragrant but not overpoweringly so, with strong blueberry notes followed by some fruity, herbal, citrus. When smoked and vaporized, the strain is quite potent with a very energetic, happy effect. I would definitely classify it as a daytime strain. I am very pleased with every aspect of the plant/genetics, so I highly recommend this strain!
3 months later: the buds are well cured and potent. I still get a strong blueberry smell coming out of the jars whenever they are opened. It is one of the least harsh strains I have grown, and one of the ones I return most frequently to. The head and body effects are well balanced, with a slight lean towards an energetic high.
Great, but I can only use minimally because it should not be used alongside h202. I used it for a 2 day watering cycle every couple weeks, and will use it while recycling coco.
Overall this was an excellent grow. I was not prepared for the huge growth and yield from the high frequency fertigation growing in coco, and the genetics of the Blue Dream'Matic. I should have defoliated it a bit more earlier on, just due to how vigorous the growth was. But I will not complain with 200g dried bud from 3sqft of tent under a HLG100 light. Hats off to Fastbuds for the great genetics. I really feel like my growing came together at a new level this time, and I am excited to experiment with even more improvements next grow! Thanks for reading!
There is some damage on the first set of leaves, I was thinking it's either due to fungus gnats which I am in the process of eliminating, or an early cal-mag issue from before I increased my nutes. Any thoughts?
I have had a few seedlings that have had similar issues. Strange because other seedlings in the same environment didn't show any issues. One time my pH runoff jumped to 7.5 in fresh perlite and it caused similar damage. I think some seedlings are more sensitive and have a harder time adjusting to pH and nutrients. The new growth looks good so she should be in good shape now. I have never had a calcium deficiency earlier than around week 4 with the Flora so I don't think that is your issue.
Great diary! I did have to look up "fertigate" though. ๐ You've knocked me off the fence - I'm definitely ordering some Fastbuds. Good luck in the contest. I'm looking forward to future diaries from you.
Time really flies....i remember we started our diaries at the same time back in Christmas.
Almost got emotional when i saw the final timelapse.
Well...Gongratulations friend for that impressive yield.
I hope you enjoy.
@CannaSapiens, thank you for your kind words! Your plants are coming a long well, I am sure they are going to produce some great harvests as well! It is great to finally enjoy the fruit of one's labours after all the hard work. Stay safe in these crazy times!
Your ladies look great! Fantastic work. Bmsome happy and healthy giant bushes there. Nice work. Keep doing what you've been doing and best of luck with the rest of the ride growmie.

@mrchicks, thanks for the kind words! Good luck on you Blueberry journal as well. I was blown away with the fertigation results, but hand watering many times a day was a lot of work. Next grow I will have an irrigation system on a timer to do it for me lol
@Afrogerweed, yeah, I think that it was part genetics, but I also blasted it with more light than it needed which kept the internodes pretty close! Thanks! ๐๐ฑ
