1. Brand new Puff Puff Pass grow! This is one of the 2 strains that I really wanted from PPP. I'm going to take extra good care of this one.
2. So far I haven't watered this seedling. I've misted her daily with a 25% strength veg. solution, but no actually watering. However, I am checking the soil on a daily basis so that she doesn't dry out.
3. I will be feeding her lightly during veg. with a 50% strength veg. solution from Remo Nutrients. I'm using AN for the other autos in my tent, but I'm having really good results with Remo in my photo tent so I'd like to see what will happen with my autos.
1. BB is throwing off fat leaves.
2. I've given her 2 waterings@1l apiece. I've also been misting her with a 25% solution of Remo Nutrients. I'll list the nutrients next week when I start to soil feed.
1. There has been a lot of growth this past week. It makes watering and feeding difficult. She is growing rapidly enough that you think feeding would be fine, but her roots aren't developed enough so she can't take the water and nutes in any real quantity without showing symptoms of over-watering.
2. My solution has been to water at 2l, but only about every 4 days. I feed at 25% strength every 3rd watering. I also mist with a 25% solution every other day. As long as I let the soil dry out between waterings I should be fine. I notice the leaves really perk up after the 2nd day.
3. Since she is a quick grower, I'm considering topping her. I have to get the watering under control first though.
1. BB got the FIM this week! I was debating on topping her, but I decided a FIM might work out better. I also did a top defoliation to open up the bud sites at nodes. I've been doing this for a lot of my autos and it really opens up the canopy. I usually end up with several bud stalks that are the same height instead of 1 and a bunch of smaller, secondary colas.
2. She is getting 3l of water every 3-4 days. I'm going to start feeding nutes the next time I water. I'll be using a 25% solution of veg nutes.
3. Despite only using filtered water, I have been misting her daily with a 25% Veg solution.
1. I did some LST on BB Thursday. She showed incredible bounce back today. I redid the LST to push the branches farther from the canopy. I guess the FIMMING worked. It's still too early to tell for me. Maybe someone else sees something I don't. I've also defoliated top fan leaves to allow better light penetration to the lower bud sites.
2. I just finished the 2nd feeding. She received a 25% strength solution of veg. nutes. I've also been misting her with the same solution on a daily basis. Otherwise she has been getting mostly filtered water. I'll start really pushing the nutes as she transitions to flower.
1. BB is barely showing pistils. I've decided to flip the journal to flower and flip her nutrients to flower.
2. I've eliminated Grow and replaced it with Astro Flower and Bloom. At the moment I'm feeding 1g of filtered water and 50% strength flowering nutes.
3. BB is still kinda iffy when it comes to watering. I've gone anywhere from 2-5 days. I just check the soil, lift the pot, check the gauge, and watch the plant. She usually lets me know what needs to be done.
4. I've been doing a lot of defoliation. Those leaves are monstrous! I've also done a bit of LST to open up the plant. For now I'll just let her recover and finish her transition.
1. BB is coming along nicely. There hasn't been a ton of stretching, but there are some strong bud sites. I released her from her LST bonds. They did their job. FIMMING left a nice canopy in the middle of the plant.
2. She is receiving 1 gallon of filtered water with 25% Strength Remo Flowering Nutes once a week. She drinks a lot less than the other plants in the tent. It will probably pick up once BB finishes transitioning to flower. I will increase the strength of the nutes once she picks up growth.
1. BB is cruising right along. She is still in early flowering stage.
2. I started adding Remo Flowering Nutes last week. Right now I'm feeding at 25% strength. I'll increase that next feeding to 50% for 2 feedings then finish up at 100%.
3. BB is a very healthy plant. I see a bright, green future ahead.
1. I believe Bruce is done stretching and is ready to put some weight on those forming buds. There are numerous bud stalks filling up with buds. She is a little smaller than I thought she would be at this point.
2. I'm feeding/watering every 4-5 days, but I think she would take water/nutes more often. I'm really trying not to over-water my plants. It does bad things!😰
3. Bruce is getting a 50% strength solution of Remo's Flowering Nutes. I'll do 2 feedings at 50% then kick it up to 100% for the remainder of the grow.
4. Remo Nutrients is kinda nice. With most nutrient lines you stop adding something at so many weeks, or start adding something at so many weeks. With this line you are either adding the nutrients or you aren't. There are slight changes between veg and flowering but that's it.
1. BB is in full flower. She has several nice bud stalks going.
2. Feeding consists of full strength flowering nutes. She is fairly thristy. BB takes in about 1g every 3 days.
1. BB is really starting to swell! I'm expecting some nice phat colas by the time she is finished.
2. I'm watering/feeding every 3rd day. She is getting full strength flowering nutes, which is 10ml/g. Once I think she is finished, I'll stop feeding altogether and give water only for the last 2 weeks.
3. I'm guessing another 1 week or so of nutes before she starts to finish out.
1. BB is starting to fatten up like a good she-hulk. The colas have swollen considerably in the last week or two. She is starting to show some frostiness as well. I'm really happy with the way this plant is finishing.
2. I've reduced the amount of nutrients by 20%. I've also eliminated Cal-Mag. I'll keep this feeding schedule for 3-6 feedings depending on how she looks. Some of these strains sneak up on you when its time to harvest. You think you have weeks to go then you turn on the lights one morning and she is begging to be chopped down!
3. I'll finish up the grow with only filtered water. I'm thinking 2-3 weeks total.
1. BB is on her final stage. I stopped feeding flowering nutes earlier this week. I'll give her filtered water for the next week or so prior to harvest.
2. I like how she has filled out in the last few weeks. It made me realize that I could've done a better job of training her outward after topping her. Right now the a few of the major bud stalks are really close to each other.
1. Sorry for the delay in posting. A lot going on around here.
2. This is the final week for BB. As a matter of fact, she will get the chop on Thursday.
3. She has been getting nothing but filtered water for the last 6 waterings. That comes out to about 2 weeks.
4. I really like the way she looks! She has giant colas. They are so big around that some of the main colas are crowding each other. Maybe a little more LST during veg to space out the bud sites.
This was a great grow from start to end. Bruce grew vigorously enough in early veg. that I was able to top and do some serious LST. She recovered nicely from it. I also was able to use veg. nutes without any problems. Some of the autos I've been growing really are finicky. Bruce was not one of those autos. I used nutes throughout veg and flowering. She formed really long, dense stalks of buds. She was very crystally and sticky during trimming. I ended up with a ton of kief! I definitely want to grow this strain again. I think next time I might LST the branches a little farther apart. The buds had such girth that they didn't have any space for air to circulate. That would be a perfect place for mold to grow. I would not change the nutes at all. I'm not saying that Remo Nutrients isn't my go-to line, but I've grown a few photos with it, and now this auto, and I am really impressed with the line.
