SteezyBreezy I am excited to start my first grow and to track my progress here! Being my first grow I am bound to make many mistakes so any advice or guidance will be much appreciated. Seeds were planted Dec-18 and the first signs of life showed on Dec-23. I have been keeping watering to small doses depending on the dryness of the soil. Speaking of soil I am using Fox Farms Ocean Forest and will use the FF Trio when it comes time to feed the girls. Day 7 brings the end of The first week of these plants lives. It also brings some realization that I need to find a fix for the low humidity, I am looking into humidifiers. Besides the humidity issue I have also purchased a small inline fan with some ducting to help ventilate the tent. Another small item I am planning to purchase is a small clip fan that will replace the desk fan currently in place. I chose the Northern Lights strain based on many reviews advocating it as an excellent beginner strain.

SteezyBreezy Day 8: First day of week 2 and the lil sprouts are looking swell to me. I am not watering today as the soil is still dark and moist from the last watering. Last watering was the first one where I watered until runoff came from the holes i poked in the red cups. I must resist the urge to over water and open the tent to often as I am strongly tempted. Also i moved the light further up and positioned the fan to blow onto the light in hopes of diverting heat coming off of it to over heat the small plants. Day 9: It looks like the gals responded well to my heavy watering! For now I have been spraying water on the walls of the tent and into the fan to mist the whole area and my humidity has gone up to around 35-40%, improvement. No water today, holding off until day 10. Day 10: Was another day without water as the top inch of soil was still slightly damp. O am thinking of adding 30% of recommended feeding of Fox Farm Grow Big nutes, 2 tsp per gallon. Day 11: I decided to do the 2tsp per gallon of Grow Big, possible transplant into 3 gal pots coming soon. Day 14:: Today I have transplanted into 3 gallon pots and gave them some ph balanced water, not very much but just enough to wet the soil directly around the plant. The roots were not crazy constricted so I do not think it was necessary to transplant just yet, ohh well. Also plant 2 seems to have not enjoyed the nutrients as it has some slight discoloration on one of the leaves, turning a bit yellow. Could anyone point me in the direction of a good reliable chart showing common signs of nutrient imbalances? Moving forward I will take the pots out of the tent so the pics are not blurpled out, my apologies for the last 3 pictures this week.

SteezyBreezy Day 15 the day after transplant and the second plant is still showing a yellow tip on one of her leaves. Initially I thought it was caused by heat stress. Now I am leaning towards her needing more water as I started to give her less water after the yellowing leaf. I am not smart. Plant 1 is doing well! I am thinking of topping her at the 5th node as she is healthier. The second plant will get some LST as I am trying to maximize the small space I have (2x2x4). I watered them each with 6.4 ph water at about .33 gallons per plant, just enough to see some runoff from the bottom of the pots. Day 16: Not much change, uploaded a new view of them to show stem and node spacing. Next watering will include 1/4 power FF nutrients. Day 17: No significant changes, soil still damp so no water. Day 18 Small growth, gave light watering at 6.4 ph and light spray. Day 21 Plants were dry so I watered with 1/3 strength of recommended feeding from FF.

SteezyBreezy Day 22: Topped plant number 1 and have been slightly bending number 2 for training. Upgraded the tent with carbon filter and inline fan. I also put up 1 of the 2 monkey fans to help get some thickness to the stems. Day 23: Fed the plants 3ml of FF Grow Big and 1.5 ml of FF Big Bloom in water that was at 6.45ph. I only did this because I didn’t bother to check that I fed them nutrients the last time I watered 2 days ago. Hopefully it won’t turn out for the worst. Also ended up tipping plant 2. Day 24: No signs of over feeding the plants. Next 2 waterings will be ph’d water with NO nutrients! I’m glad I decided to top the second plant instead of only doing LST. I have been doing some very slight bending of the branches to spread them out. This is being done by gently using my fingers to get the branches where they need to be. Day 25: No real updates. Plants are just doing their thing. Day 26: I Watered with water ph'd to 6.45. My grow space is small and I am worried about the flowering stretch so thoughts of switching to 12-12 have started to creep into my head.

SteezyBreezy I got sidetracked this week so not as many photo ya or updates. This week was all water ph’d to around 6-6.5 in preparation for flower next week. I did some trimming on plant 2, the smaller of the 2. Going forward I am planning to do more defoliating on 2 than I am on 1. Simply experimenting for myself.

SteezyBreezy The flip to flower has occurred here in week 6 and halfway through the stretch is on! After only using ph’d water last week I gave the plants the full Fox Farm trio at about half strength. I will be feeding every other water during flower unless I see the plants showing signs of nutrient toxicity.
