**GERMINATION WEEK** This week is about germinating the Autos, however I still wanted to document the process for observational purposes and internal review. We have a completely overhauled setup from the last time with a bigger tent, new fans for both intake and outtake, as well as a new light which is specified in the diary. We are also changing our method from Germination via paper towel (which gave us a measly 55% success rate last time) to Rockwool germination (this had a 100% success rate on a practice run). As soon as they sprout and good roots have formed, we will be using House and Garden's Root Excelurator to enhance the root growth and help the plants develop a good strong root system.

*** GERMINATION WEEK CONTINUED *** So we are finally after about roughly one week, seeing some sprouting from two of the girls. The big heifer seed in the middle has still yet to sprout, however, we should only need another half-week before having as many sprout as we can. Once we have as many of them as possible we will be moving into the True week 1. I've been feeding only once a day in the mornings with pH 6.3 water. Rockwool tends to hold it pretty damn well. Soon as we have our grow candidates, we'll start going in with some House & Garden Roots Excelurator. As a side note, keeping the humidifier topped up seems to help greatly with the temps. Going forward we have some PLANT !T Perlite and Bio Bizz Coco Mix applied in a 3:1 ratio in fabric pots.

Four out of the seven seeds we had sprouted. Not sure whether this was due to germination technique or due to brand reliability. The seeds were Dutch passion so if anyone has had any prior experience with success rates in this brand, please be sure to leave a comment. I have enclosed a few individual shots along with an overall shot of the setup. First feed at Week 1 veg which is what we're on now is 5L of water pH corrected to 6.4 - 6.5 and also 1.5ml of Roots excelurator to have the babies grow good roots for the first three days. After these first three days on pH adjusted + roots then we will add the A+B feed to the mix and double check the EC of the formula to make sure it's not too rich for the babies.

It's been a rough few weeks as you can see from the pictures. All three plants suffered moisture stress, Paine showing the worst symptoms and almost not making it as a result. She's on the way to becoming healthier again now as I am adjusting the feeding schedule to compensate for them not only being in Coco coir but also inside a rockwool germinator which holds onto water like crazy. So now I am making sure I take into account those things and cutting down the feeding schedule. I also made the mistake of upping the nutes too early on in their life. This didn't help the plants either. So after a flush and a little watering break they seem to be back in track now. Yuna and rikku are looking pretty bushy and will most likely require some more defoliation pretty soon. Looking to induce the plants into some low stress training as soon as they have recovered. Nutes now back to half strength. Also acquired a feeding chart for advanced nutrients.

This week has seen some serious defoliation of all of the partially dead leaves that have occurred from what we believe was a Nitrogen Lockout. We've now lowered the pH of the new feed and now stopped the Roots and introduced more Cal Mag in order to try and offset the deficiency clearly visible in Paine. With all three of them having been defoliated and looking much healthier for it, there's nothing now but to carry on and adjust the feed and lights as necessary.

Had a really big issue with these guys. They were very high maintenance and managed to contract Yellow Leaf Septoria despite low-leaf popping and treating them with Cannacure. Just about managed to get them over the finish line but lost one plant in the process. Also one of the remaining plants' root system gave up the ghost prior to harvest as well. The Coco Coir was completely saturated with water as she stopped uptaking during the flush.

I don't know whether it was something I did during the grow cycle or not but this Dutch Passion grow was WAY harder to manage than the previous 00seeds Afghan Mass grow. These girls seemed to need way more attention and also seemed to almost have mood swings in their health. They declined pretty quickly roughly around the time I stopped posting on this diary. I had to spend all my time and energy to recover them. Unless I find in my evaluation that it was something wrong with something other than me, I won't be growing Dutch Passion again.😭 **Note the dry weight has been left out because I'm still waiting on the bud to dry. I'll update the numbers again once I've got final numbers on the dry weight** P.S. The wet weight is literally the entire two plants directly after they'd been chopped, just stuck the whole plant on the scale :)
