My first Mephisto grow!
I'm really excited for this strain, she looks so pretty in the pictures :D Seeds were tres fresh so she popped within 24 hours and sprouted about 36 hours after I planted her straight in her final pot.
THE ROOM
1.2x1.2x2m tent
Coco/Perlite blend 70/30
600W MH for veg and HPS for flower (although they'll be stuck with the HPS for a week until I harvest my caramel auto)
11L fabric pot
I'm not sure on the training I'm gonna do yet, if she starts strong I might top her. Will figure it out as I go 😉
UPDATE:
Made it to the end of week one! There's a little light-bleaching on the tips - that was my bad. Since I was on crutches I got my bf to move the plants up higher for me, but I forgot to tell him to re-position the light. WHOOPS. They're in a better position now and chugging along well. :)
CDLC is growing fastest among the girls I have atm.
Everything going smoothly so far :D I was thinking about topping but I reckon I'll give it a miss on this gal. She's a little slower than my other two, and is supposed to finish fastest, so I don't think she'd recover in time. Will start some LST next week 😊
This chicky is so dense! Big fat leaves. Started to get nice and thirsty but then stopped again when the humidity spiked. Think she'll need a lot of defol. Mainly just leaf tucking atm.
Not much to report here! I decided not to top her, now I'm thinking that probably would have been a good idea since she's so bushy. Hindsight is always 20/20. Anywho she's shown sex, and seems to be growing well :D
Creme is doing great! Had a couple of spots on the sides of two leaves that looked like potassium def., but now that she's on the Bud Burst I haven't seen any further issues. Fingers crossed she stays happy! She's def ready for another defol, will happen tomorrow and make my bunny very happy. 😃
Not much to report this week! It's been fairly hot but also pretty humid so she's been fed 4L every 2 or 3 days. No signs of deficiency that I've noticed. I've been a bit lazy with Christmas etc though so next week I hope to take her out of the tent and do a proper snip - cause she's in the back corner of the tent I can't get to half of her.
She seems to be going fine though!
All quiet on the Creme front! Gave her PK Heavy this week, flowers are developing well. Gave her a hefty defol today but she's still quite bushy, I'm trying not to take too much off her cause. The leaves are starting to get a nice purple tinge coming through so I'm hopeful about seeing those great autumn colours as she ripens 😁 Haven't grown any cool colours yet so that was half the appeal! haha. No signs of deficiencies or anything yet, so far I'm just letting her do her thang
Getting some odd behaviour on this one - leaves were drooping even though I water this one less than the other girls. Normally at this stage I'd be watering at least once a day, twice with some of them. This girl really only seems to need every 48 hours. She had some tip burn so I dropped the A and B feeds down, but now she looks a little pale? Not too sure what to do with her! The roots are basically coming out the top of the coco. Buds are developing, just a little slower than my other girls.
If anyone has some advice I'd be grateful!
So not concerned about this one anymore! Thanks to Shadyshaw's advice I just lowered the nutes and carried on, she's bulked up a fair bit this week. :D Starting her flush around day 65, hopeful to harvest around day 73, but the Cosmic should come down first so all gonna depend how fast we trim :P
Annnnnnd she's flushed!
Flushed her for 6 days with molasses, then started with plain RO water. She's ready to come down now but I'm harvesting my Cosmic Queen first, so I'll keep this one flushing a little longer then stick her in the dark.
Really impressed with how she ended up, got her bulk on nicely! Should be a pretty good yield. The smell is legit - nostril-singing and delicious. :D Will update in a few weeks when harvested, dried, and cured.
This chicky was a breeze to grow - didn't do any training on her cept some defol, she just grew in a nice open Christmas tree shape naturally.
Chopped on day 74. She was in an 11L fabric pot (coco/perlite) the whole grow, and 600W MH the first few weeks, 600W HPS the rest of the time.
Would like to see how the yield would have increased with some training, so will definitely grow again. And maybe not in the middle of summer, see if that helps bring out the autumn colours more in the fade.
On the whole she was lovely, enjoyed the orange and pink fading. Nugs are hard and solid, and the smell is reeeeeeally strong, very chem. Interested to see how she goes after a cure, so I'll update the smoke report in a week or two, I jarred her up about 4 days ago. :D
SMOKE REPORT:
In a word: Dangerous. Experience starts when you open the jar and recieve chemical burns to the retina. No joke this smell scares people. Really interesting chem taste but with a sweetness on the way out, there's a definite tickle to the lungs but not harsh. The high sets pretty quick with a strong initial headband feeling that settles into a deep relaxing cloudiness. I get a fair bit of couch lock from her but it's more mental than physical heaviness. After about 30 mins it's all smiley chill time, great for a Netflix binge or relaxing after a particularly shitty day. Will have grow this one again cause dealing with customers at work means there are lots of those days! Definitely one to be careful with though - she will knock you the hell down if you aren't seated when she kicks in. 😊

Fun story, a mate's Dad whose a seasoned smoker was bitching about how all the weed going around is godawful and weak and doesn't affect him at all. Gave him some Chem and he went dead silent for a few hours. Not gonna lie, I was pretty smug 😂
Overall she's a great strain to grow! Finished up quickly, she was ready to go at day 67ish but she had to wait til I had the time. Super low maintenance, powerful smell, crazy sparkly :D Gem of an auto0
Wow this looks fire definitely a different pheno to the girl ive got growing there looks to be More indica in mine and it stayed quite squat with fater leaves. Really nice grow mate.
@Shadyshaw, It's crazy how different they are! Your buds looks super dense, gonna be a great yield. :D I'm just happy this one fattened up so well the last couple weeks.
The only thing I would say is what you've already done and lower the feeding my 4 assed monkey is a bit like this at the moment I think there was too much feed in the soil and can’t do much about it. Apart from that mate she’s looks really good.
@WhiteWidow, It's quite far away and I've done the same with my other girls without problems. :) But you're right, I should get a small LED or something for babies. I'm looking into it for my next grow but I can't spend the money right now, waiting to find out if I need surgery.
