Royal Cookies Automatic (First ever grow

First grow so here we go! Seeds started germination 3rd jan 2020. Wasnt expecting much for a few days. I started off the seedlings under a 600w led light which was a pain to keep the temperature and humidity stable without using 3 heat tubes (2x80w) (1x120w) so ditched the lot and went straight in with the 315w cdm which keeps everything perfect on it's own. Both getting watered with bottled water with 0.1ml of biobizz ph down. Purchased plant magic nutrients. I'll update the dosages as we go. Sticking to PM guidelines on dosages. At day 5 both had started to stretch being in dark airing cupboard so they have both now been moved to the tent. Stay tuned.

After careful consideration I've decided to run the lights 24/7, where im located in the world its dropping to about 3 degrees Celsius at night (tent is in garage) and the heat is quickly dropping in the tent on the 4 hour night cycle, I think this will cause implications down the road so after a little research I'm running them on 24hrs. RC#1 Was laying down this morning. I've propped her up and skipped watering for today. Fingers crossed she bounces back. #1 & #2 have had nothing but water this week. Next Friday I'll start adding the nutrients. I've also germinated 2 other seeds (royal cheese & northern lights). Might aswell as I have the space. They look healthy so so far so good. 18.01 #1 is taking off, #2 is few days behind both look healthy. Other 3 seeds have germinated, ones sprouted 22.01 Coming into week 3 in few days. I'm ready to up nutrients but may hold off and see how we go into week 3. I have another 6 seeds planted. 2 of the 6 I know what they are (royal kush auto & northern lights auto), but the other 4 was mistakenly all thrown into the same cup to germinate by my other half.... as you do... so I'll have to identify as they grow (x1 Royal cookies, x2 royal cheese x1 northern lights) Stay tuned.

Plants seemed super short coming into week 3, I've raised the light 60cm above plant to encourage some stretching which it definitely has done this week. I'm watching the plant closely as moving into week 4 could mean moving into flower... They look pretty happy. Watered every 2.5 days, leaves and soil misted with ph balanced water morning and night. I'm toying with the idea of throwing in some far red light for 4 hours to see if it helps develop the plants more. 29.01 Far red light ordered aswell as a UV bulb. Plants seem to be doing ok, noticed a few leaves on RC#1 had curled tips so held off on watering for 3 days which seems to have done it some good. Snapped a lower branch on RC#1 during LST, wasnt a clean break maybe 60%? I've glued it back in place to see if it will bounce back. The brand feels floppy and lifeless at the moment but I've supported it properly so hopefully couple days it will repair itself. RC#2 also fell victim and lost a fan leaf.

Moving into week 4 rc1 was losing stems. Going soft mid stem and falling down. I think it was over watering but it seems to have stopped. Both plans were getting yellow fan leaves at the bottom so they all been removed. Little note burn on first bloom feed so knocked back the doses about 20%

I'll add some more pics this week... added the dual cdm light last night. One 3k and one 4k bulb. Keeps the tent around 29 degrees which is keeping the humidity down nicely! Averaging 7degrees outside temp. My set up is in a poorly insulated garage so it isnt doing so bad considering the elements. 24.02 Rc#1 is racing ahead looks like it's nearly at week 9 not 7! Excited to see how big the buds get. Rc#2 is taller with more bud sites but looks about a week and a half behind. Alot of defoliation done last 2 weeks.

Getting slightly confused on how quickly RC#1 has grown! I'm looking at other diaries and these look about 2 weeks ahead! RC#2 is a little behind but should be at this level in a week. I'll add more pics this week. No issues atall this week, I check in the morning, water in the evening. That's it... for a first grow this has been a breeze. 28.08 (day 52) RC#2 seems to of picked up some pace again. I'm wondering if some defoliation shocked her for a few days. I think RC#1 has about 2.5 weeks left 01.03 (day 54) Both have had alot of defoliation this weekend as I could see the humidity has started to creep up slightly. No issues atall. All of the girls (x7) are now on bloom nutrients. RC#1 has been tappered down on nutrients as it's quite possible she will be ready to chop in less than 2 weeks, still amazed how far she is ahead of RC#2 who is only just really starting to properly show formation of flowers, so I'm guessing she will go the full 10-12 weeks. Overall I'm impressed with the RQS seeds, grow has been easy based on I only graduated from my YouTube masters degree in growing in 3 weeks! Lol.

08.03 Been slow week. RC#1 is pretty much there. Leaves are starting to yellow so I'm going to start flushing today. RC#2 is a little behind but has made up for that in overall size. Smell isn't as strong as I thought it would have been by now but i could be nose blind to it! Other pots in the tent consist of, northern lights, royal cheese and royal haze. Its was too much effort to do a diary for 7 plants!

Rc#1 has started its flushing today for about a week and half before the snip. Rc#2 has picked up the pace now and will go on longer than rc#1 has. Rest of the tent is coming along nicely. All the plants are on full nutes other than rc#1. Both of the girls have had heavy defoliation. Looking forward to see how it tastes. 16.03.20 RC#1 had its final flush last night of around 12 litres of water. 80% of the trichomes are cloudy. Once the pot is pretty much dried (4days) I'll be throwing her into dark for 36hours before harvest. I'll be sure to get some good pics in the natural light before and after the chop. All branches look like they can barely hold the weight of the buds now, few branches have been supported with cable ties off of the main stem. Sugar leaves are turning a nice purple. I guessing roughly 4-5oz dried. Week 10 coming this week....

RC#1 is in her last couple days. Main stem is starting to tilt with the weight of the buds 🤣 she was flushed yesturday for the final time with around 15 litres of water. Once the pot has dried out she will be swapped into my drying tent and left in darkness for 3 days before the chop. Feel like this day will never come lol. Very excited to try as this is my first ever grow. RC#2 is starting to swell up but I think she has another 2 weeks in her, she got stunted for a while during week 6-7 so may have set her back a little. Bud sites look great I'm expecting no less than 8oz between the 2 girls, just by what I've sized up already. Well shall see.... 18.03.20 (Day64) Rc#1 has been chopped. Only got a few pics but I'll take them next week once it's all weighed up. RC#2 is starting its flush this week as I think it's only has around a week or so left.

Been a super slow week. Nothing to really update. RC#2 is still not ready. RC#1 is now moved into jars but I'm now thinking I may of cut her down a tad early... smell from the jars isnt filling me with hope right now but I'm hoping the cure will bring out what it smelt like before the harvest. RC#2 looks like it could go another 2 weeks so I've thrown nutrients back in for this week.
