Plants seem to have responded well to the flushing between week 14-15. They were flushed for seven days with nothing but neutral water to help with the nute burn. New nutes were added after that. Fan leaves are dying and buds are fattening. Checked trichomes and I’m thinking I will begin flushing this week. I’m hoping for a 10-14 day flush unless I start seeing a lot of amber. I’m feeling torn and may harvest the purple trainwreck plants at two different times. There are a lot of cloudy trichomes but there’s still lots of white pistils being thrown out as well. Didn’t see much amber, some buds have more clear trichomes than others. The clone’s buds appear further along than the mother plant. I may flush only one plant this week and start the flush on the other in another week or so. The widow x plant isn’t ready to flush and is growing strong. I accidentally left my timer on “on” when I left during a weekend during week 3 of flower. The widow x plant started to reveg a bit from the 48 hours of light. I forgot this happened entirely and for a while couldn’t figure out why the buds weren’t fattening... but I’m fairly certain that is why that plant stalled so long. So far no hermies or males! That was several weeks ago. I’m now on week seven of flower so I’m hopeful for a completely seedless grow. I will continue adding photos throughout this week. Harvested the bottom branches off to make room for my next flowering plant. I couldn’t wait any longer, it’s getting too tall and I’ll run out of room. This is the clone that was taken the same time as the flowering PT clone. It has been in a veg tent since being removed from the flowering tent. Buds from lower stems are drying and look good so far... Wet weight- .75 ounces~ 21 grams Dry weight- ~.20 ounces~ 5.5 grams

Grow Questions

This is my first grow, I am on day 27 of flower and don’t want to over-defoliate. Do I continue to remove larger leaves as they come through the net or stop removing foliage entirely? PT is short, and wide should I remove lower bud sites? Used some lowers as clones but lots left.

Hi Buddy great looking plants. I have little experience. But as far as I know if your plants have responded great to Defoliation during the whole grow there should not be a problem Removing any Un necessary leaves, you need to make sure that your root system is healthy and up taking The necessary nutrition. To me buddy Defoliation is been always necessary when training a plant they all tend to get bushy after any training methods. Be slow on Defoliation take your time and remove leaves only covering bud sites and ones that don't get any light you will notice the once not receiving light are dropping when lights on, you don't want to over do to stun her right now in flower because off to little leaves and making her work to hard 😓. Good luck and help this helps.

When should I start each flush? Day 52 of 12/12. The mother PT has trichomes that are about 20% cloudy and 80% clear The Clone PT is about 40% cloudy and 60% clear The widow X isn’t ready and is clear

Hello my friend THE BEST TIME TO RINSE YOUR CANNABIS Rinsing usually begins two weeks before harvest. If the plant has an eight-week flowering period, rinsing should begin six weeks after the start of the flowering period. It is best to look closely at the trichomes on the plant to determine when your cannabis is ready to be harvested. If small trichomes are just starting to move from a transparent to a milky, white hue, this is a good indication that the plants may begin to be rinsed. It is necessary to arrange that the majority of trichomes have changed to the desired color for the harvest after two weeks Rinsing can also be a good way to reset the soil when a plant is still in the vegetative growth phase. Sometimes a grower accidentally over-feeds his cannabis, causing a change in color and wilting of the leaves. This is called a "nutrient burn." Rinsing the soil can eliminate excess nutrients, which helps solve the problem. However, this is a drastic measure at this stage of cultivation, so make sure the problem is a nutrient burn and not something else. Good luck for your grow 🤞🌱 May the force be with you 💪

Careful on the nitrogen, dark leaves and discolouring tips points to a toxicity. Nonetheless, what and amazing looking plant for a first grow. I'll be trying a Trainwreck next summer, good luck!

@Greenbean15, props for growing a non-auto on your first attempt. Autos are a lot easier to manage since they have shorter lives, makes soil problems a lot less impactful

@Alpaca, oh definitely not too hard on myself. It’s a first grow, this is all learning experience and no matter what I’m happy with what I’ve gotten out of this grow. I’m just taking it all in stride! I have taken multiple clones off these plants so I have numerous retries. I love constructive criticism. If everyone always kept their mouths closed no one would learn to do better. So thank you! I had been cutting back on nutes for a few weeks now ever since I defoliated but the leaves started dying more than natural senescence would’ve caused so I flushed them part of week 14 and the beginning of week 15 for a total of seven days so hopefully that corrected the problem. So far it’s helped, the buds are filling in more quickly now. It doesn’t appear as though I’ve given them a break in the journal because I started it midweek. They just started getting nutes again in the middle of week 15. The buds started gaining again after doing the flush so hopefully I can keep these plants going until they’re where I want them to be. So far no hermies or males, so I’m happy 😁 Good luck on growing trainwreck during the summer! I’ve loved growing this strain, it has taken a beating and just keep chugging along.

@Greenbean15, don't be too hard on yourself. She's only slightly overfed, not even worth a flush or anything. It's pretty easy to get nutrient imbalances when you use a lot of bottled stuff. If you cut back for a while and try not to feed her grow nutes you'll be just fine

Think clones should be taken from this plant. Great work!

@Med_in_Tropic, thanks so much! We’ve taken a handful of clones throughout the grow. We’re definitely trying to preserve this one’s genetics.
