Day 5: I bought some weed one time and it was called Cheezle. The jar smelled absolutely amazing and I found two seeds in a bud. I germinated both in a paper towel, but only one popped so far. I’m hoping for a female from this amazing plant!
Day 8: the second seed finally broke the surface, but isn’t doing much. It might be a gonner, but I’ll let it go and see what happens. The other seedling is doing just fine!
Day 23: They are loving the 1 gal pots, so far! I fed EH light nutes the other day and URB, cal-mag, sturdy stalk on water-only day. (Today). I let them get fairly dry before watering.
Day 42: they are growing strong, but I fear one is male. I will know will be flipping in about a week, so I’ll know for sure then. It’s interesting to study the preflowers. Nothing teaches you like experience!
Day 49: last day of veg! I flipped the timer to 12/12 and now the real fun begins!
Day 56: flipped to 12/12 last week and she’s had a full week of transition nutes. We shall see what kind of stretch she has in the next couple of weeks!
Day 57: starting the second week of flower and feed week1 transition nutes today. Nice lush green and I am doing things a bit different with this sog and going back to some supplements I used on my first run and had great results. I want to see what it does to my custom strains.
Day 71: I did a huge Defol and removed a lot of fan leaves to allow light to the bud sites. The node spacing is very wide on this one, so I need a lot of light penetration. Flowers are growing!
The flowers are coming along and everything appears to be healthy. Not a whole lot of smell yet, but she’s a much different plant than I’ve grown in the past.
I didn't notice a cheese smell or flavor, but I think it needs to cure a bit more to get a better sense of what she's capable of. The jar smells great, but the taste when smoked isn't quite what I expected.
This plant came from some weed I bought a few years ago. The jar smelled amazing, so I was excited to try growing it. This was my first sea of green and I only topped once, so I only got two tops. I also only grew her in a 1gal fabric pot, so I suspect that limited her growth capacity. Overall, she's a much different plant than I usually grow. The pistils really never darkened until after harvesting and there weren't as many trichomes as I'm used to seeing. For a trial run, I am pleased overall, but it was a smaller yield than I am used to, although a much shorter grow period compared to my scrogs.
