Yo yo! These 2 just popped. Very quick and hope it’s a good sign they ready for a good ride. Glookies looks amazing so let’s hope I can do her some justice. Very short growing career, but super stoked to be running another Barney’s strain. Previous CK was awesome. Anyways, trying out some new lights, got a new tent, a little bigger and will be the first time growing 2 same time. Excited and will be experimenting a bit this round, not much, but a little haha. Yo yo! Got them both situated in buckets now. One in a water farm top drip, one in a DIY 20L bucket with 4" airstone. Have added the extra holes in the WF and plan to leave as is for the entire grow. Did an earlier run with the wf and found when I added the airstone there were problems. Ph swings, temp swings, such a small rez......... will leave alone and see if it's worth using again. The 20l bucket has been working well so may just go with that. Seeing how much difference bucket size will make between the 2. Everything else pretty much equal, time will tell. Keep it realz. Greazy

Yo yo! Been a crazy month. After posting I was done with this grow, quickly decided to try and save the girls. One was in pretty rough shape. Took her out of the dwc bucket, into a felt pot with a soilless media. Carefully washed the roots and trimmed off some funky looking stuff. Soaked them for a smidge in an h2o2 water bath, not ideal but had nothing to lose really. Let the roots dry out and gently situated her in the felt pot. Watered lightly for the first week with low nutes, and ro water. Saw some life back and seems to be on the right path, albeit way behind any supposed schedule. A little trimming, some tie downs and see what she can do yet. The water farm brawd didn’t need as much healing. Thoroughly rinsed the media, roots, and was doing Rez changes every 3 days. Again low nute strength, but added voodoo juice every time. Now, maybe overkill but have not seen any hint of brown roots since. She has had a nice growth spurt and am encouraged they may both turn out after all. 7 weeks of veg, but not entirely sure what that means really. Lost so much time fighting to stay alive so will see how the next couple of weeks go. Back to half strength feedings on both, wish em luck. The ugly looking cooler with duct tape is an experiment. 2 GG#4 seeds, basically a dwc but huge Rez capacity. Rez temps stay really cool even with big air stone and submersible water pump. I mean it’s a cooler so fancy that lol. Curious about the cooler walls leaching into solution, hoping not. Not sure how I would tell, see if the plants have a healthy life I guess. Until next week. Yo yo. Another week, and they look alright. Switched lights to 11 and 13. See how they stretch, think the water farm brawd will be close to typical, the felt pot lady A miracle she’s even in the conversation still. Not expecting anything as far as yields go. Upped the nutes, anxious to see how it goes. Keep it realz. Greazy

Yo yo. Another good week. SF4000 light has been working great, plant seems to likey. Not touting my green thumb by any means, but amazed that these girls have come this far. Nature is amazing. The blue cooler bucket plants are starting to come around too, have been quite pale since birth. Slowly figuring out how much they need to eat. But we will discuss that more in future grows where it is the main pot. For now, glookies girls looking good, hoping for another uneventful week. Keep it realz out there! Greazy

Yo yo. Another week in the books. Just when I thought things were smoothing out, bam! Noticed this small bit of white powder on a leaf. Thought to self, powdery mildew? Read about it but no, does not appear to be pm. Soooooo, turns out it’s just some pollen......... wtf!?! Is pollen doing on my leaves? Yanked her out and inspected, sure as silt, found some seed sacs, bananas, whatever they’re called. As I’m looking on horrified, out of the corner of my eye I spot another one. In total, 3 branches on one side of her are seemingly confused. Not sure where they stand. She’s turned on me again and is now self harming to reduce my precious buds hahaha. Anyway, the more I’ve read up on hermies the more common it is? I don’t have enough experience. Seems odd, thought Barney’s Farm feminized seeds would be solid. There goes nature again f’n up our plans to control her. Lol, removed the 3 branches and misted the area heavily. Going to see her through. My little Barney’s Farm trickster might surprise yet! Keep it realz out there! Greazy

Yo yo, another week in the books. So far can’t really tell if there will be a bunch of seeds or not. Hoping the branch removal helped. I read that stress could be a cause of hermies, which I did end up breaking a couple branches when trying to bend down. Those branches ended up being ok, and pollen sacs formed on other branches..... so whatever. See how it goes. A couple leaves look like they’ve had their souls sucked out, but still attached for now. Buds getting bigger, hoping not from seeds lol. Drinking lots and likes the 900 ppm for now. Thanks for checking her out, keep it realz out there, keep it cleanz out there too! Greazy

Yo yo. Another week gone by, quarantining and literally watching the girls grow lol. Could be worse. Good week, nothing to write home about. A few more discoloured leaves, going to up the cal mag a bit, see if it continues. Wish I had better pics. There are going to be some seeds I hate to say, but hoping not too many. Already dreading the cleanup after this. Her felt pot sister is hanging in there, pretty small in comparison so you know who’s the favourite haha. Hope everyone is safe and sane, keep it cleanz. Yo yo. Moved them to a different spot. Hopefully they can finish up and not impact my other girls. Just did some swapping around, should be good. The glookies are back under a cob led for now. Going to start dropping nutes by 100-150 ppm every week now. Lowering temps as well. Keep it realz. Greazy

Yo yo! Another week, she’s hanging in there. Something going on with the colours, some rust spots and purple. Could be whatever, not too concerned right now as close to being done. Would like to see one of these girls make it all the way to the end super healthy. One day. Do kind of enjoy the purple as it makes her look mysterious, maybe a bit risqué if you will. Looks kind of cool. I’m sure I’ve given her plenty of stress. Her sister too. Both barely made it past week 2, needed quite a bit of tlc but somehow pulled through and became something. By tlc, I mean basically just me praying that they would make it. For some reason couldn’t just toss them, glad I didn’t at this point. Anyways, couple weeks left at the most, trichs fully cloudy but no ambers yet. There will be a few seeds, most likely due to my stress inducing but so far does not seem to be too many. Will only know for sure when done. Keep it cleanz, hope you and family safe and keep it realz. Greazy

Yo,yo............ keep in mind this grow was a real grind for me. I do not have the experience to handle this strain it would seem. Regardless of who did what to whom, what wasn’t done, or who stressed the most it’s no time to be pointing fingers. At the end of the day, an experience I did not like having. To say she went nuts is an understatement, so many seeds everywhere it’s been quite a hassle so far. Can’t even really weigh it as would be mostly seeds lol. After 20 mins of de seeding, smoked one and although not cured yet, was not that bad. A few pops and farts from husks but smoked well. Will be making bubble hash out of the lot, only way to tell how much she actually yielded. Plus I won’t have to spend 20 mins collecting seeds. Will put some good looking seeds aside for future, may try one later. She could have been glorious, maybe next time.

Yo yo. What a ringa dinga dong dandy this grow was! Really rough from the get go, probably should have abandoned ship long ago. Had the best intentions but sometimes better to start over. Learned a lot through this so that’s good. Can’t pin down why she seeded, and hopefully I can leave my setup alone and get used to it now. I know this strain rocks in the right hands, and will definitely try it out again. Looks real sparkly so will be interesting to see the hash haul in a few weeks, until then. Thanks for reading, keep it realz. Greazy

Hey man...just read your diary from 8th week onwards and cant see where you did wrong and how you stressed them? I grew 3 strains the other time with Glookies included. 2 of them grew bananas around 2 weeks before flower and Glookies survived with only some bleached top buds as it was sitting lower from the other two thus getting less intensity and made it with a few micro seeds just tiny tiny ones the size of the dot. My reason for hermie was temperature in a few words. Lamp was very close, temps around 30+ my DLI exceeded the threshold as i had no co2 addition the photosynthesis some how fucked up, was getting foxtails and at the end spotted those bananas. Same thing kinda happened with an autoflower. Accidentaly my heater gave 50c temps to my early veg plants so after a while i noticed a pollen sack and removed it and never stressed them again with heat...seem to be doing very good since....so o guess hermies come also from high heat or unstable temps and RH and the rest of the stresses that follow....if you didnt have those mentiones i would love to hear what caused yours....

Sorry i meant to say 2 weeks before harvest :) ...so yes luckily for me they were almost ready just the trichomes not so milky as you can see on my diary so no much harm done, not a single seed as i spotted them quite early and chopped them. Glookies though was already stunt so i was having no reaction from it for around 2 weeks until i chopped that too... Well my heat problem also lasted for a 5-7 days too, can't really recall now, but it was enough to stress them out to that hermie point...foxtailing also tricked me into thinking it was just buds filling more and more but that was a heat/light problem which i didnt know by the time... and i guess heat/light problems also bring nutrient problems such as deficiencies and locks and stunt plant and most likely that's why the messed up leaves....good thing is we learn from mistakes as we progress and soon we be pros :) co2 might just be the best solution for hot enviroments or otherwise keeping temps constant without much spikes..im sure you know it all by now :) Also checking your DLI often and see whats going on there is a good observation to see whats happening and prevent whats comimg ...also light leaking inside might just hermie them too...what a plant :) xxx

@Kayaboy, Thanks for checking her out, awesome post man. Glad you took the time to post, your heat scenario may hold some value. I did have about 5 days where temps could have been high. Had just gotten a new QB light, was running cob leds previously. After installing the QB, she seemed to be depressed so I put one of the cobs back in at an angle for some side lighting, figuring a little of both would calm her down. Tried to increase humidity too, but don’t think I did enough. Didn’t really watch temps for the first bit, when I saw the heat removed the cob light and has been gone since. About week 2 flower this went down. Didn’t include in my updates as was a temporary thing, but maybe these girls just can’t handle high temps, even a little bit. Going to leave my gear alone for awhile and get some consistency. Tops got bleached too, when I moved her into isolation, the tent not as big. Really wanted to grow this strain well, so will give another try at some point. Thanks again man, good luck and stay safe!

Yo,yo. Have relieved this girl of her duty, again, I know. I’m sure she is glad it’s over lol. What a bumpy ride it has been. A lot of problems early on, followed by a stretch of a glorious few weeks, finally betrayed with seeds all over. Quite a few seeds. Everyone has a few bad relationships I guess, on to the next. She is hanging now, update tomorrow and another 3 weeks for final review. Big batch of edibles coming up with this one I think. Thanks for following, unsure as to why though, pretty poor grow haha. Looks cool at the right angle. Keep it realz. Greazy

Yo yo, should mention I have switched lights. Had a couple of 1500W cob leds, which I think only draw an actual 100w each lol. The whole led advertised vs actual still confuses me. They worked just fine for my newb grows. Never did measure actual wattage though, but they managed to produce some nice buds imo. Not sure they penetrate the foliage all that well. Ended up with an SF4000 spider farm QB led. Lots of info out on these. 400W approx and good for a 5x5 tent. We shall see, figured a good time to switch would be when heading into flower. Stay tuned as we test this light out, and keep it realz. Greazy

Well, I always have to learn the hard way. I have killed one of the girls, the other can be saved but shutting this diary down. Hate to say but I neglected to do a proper clean after the last grow. Got anxious and did a quick clean, and am now facing the consequences. Feel terrible letting the plants down. Was so excited to try out this strain. After scolding myself, will be doing a thorough sanitation of all equipment. Hope to be back soon with another grow, lesson learned, and if this comment helps out at least 1 newb like me, awesome. Keep it cleanz out there. Greazy
