18 Jan and it's the end of week 5. The plant has responded really well to the spring water I've been feeding it. I started adding the fox farm trio. I made the mistake of topping and trimming the fan leaves. Which in hindsight I should never have done bc it severely stunted the growth. I also made the mistake of trying to do LST but realized I should just let the plant grow and stop torturing it.
@DinafemSeeds, Thanks for the seed!!! I believe I stunted the plant by using tap water. I've since switched to spring water and 18/6 lighting. She smells amazing.
@MichaelAnthony, Hello mate 👍
Your plant does look to be flowering which is pretty strange as you are still in the vegative stage of growth?
We would expect to see pre-flowers at around week 6-7 of (18/6) but yours looks to be fully blooming?
You are on 18/6 lighting, correct?
All the best ✌️
Mark..
I'm definitely going to SCROG next time. LST is definitely not for me. I have 4 other plants (2x Budzilla and 2x Northern Lights in the tent that I attempted to LST and they grew so fast. I could not keep up because I don't hover over my plants enough. I figure opening up a tent and bending some plants under a net is way less time consuming than LST. But I guess I'll find out here soon.
It could be a number of things, so let's try and eliminate somethings :)
1> What's the soil mixture composed of? (I see some burning + the new leaves coming in are super limey green
2> What are you feeding it (if anything)
3> What's the size of the pot, do you see root structure through the drainage holes on the bottom?
4> How do the leaves feel? Dry or crispy? (from what I see, they're water saturated as the leaves soak up too much water and cause the leaves to droop)
@CannaScuzzyB, Thank You. I ran up to the store and brought some spring water. When I purchased the fox farm soil I was told I wouldn't need nutrients for at least 3 weeks. Yeah I probably should have listened to her but I get so enthused seeing everyone with such great grows I go overboard.
@MichaelAnthony,
1. Good soil to use, pretty much you could use JUST this alone and would produce good results without having to add anything else to feed it.
2. I would lay off nutrients right now
3. Fabric pots are good, I use 5 gal myself and have never had an issue...try the Vivosun bags, they work well :)
4. I would water every other day, keeping up with your finger regime.
Solution: 100% stop using tap water as it's treated every 4 hours. Chlorine is a huge culprit with using tap water as it's literally going to burn your plants...I use spring water or rain barrel water :)
@CannaScuzzyB,
1. The soil is fox farms Ocean forrest.
2. I've been feeding it grow big.
3. 5 gallon fabric pot. Which I'm never doing again. Maybe a 3 gallon next time.
4. The leaves feel moist. But I'm only watering when the soil is dry. I'm a big rudimentary. I stick my finger in and if I pull it out and there's no dirt I water. Maybe I should just let sit
I definitely believe the tap water I'm feeding it is playing a major part. I've had another plant look healthier but I was giving it filtered spring water.
