Grow Questions

oneskunkyboistarted grow question 5 years ago
In the left part of the first photo it shows how almost all look right now. All my girls are having 4-8 colas, ~40% of the bottom to up growth was removed. Should I remove almost all or all secondary shoots from the colas?Or should I let some on sides and remove the middle ones?

Hello there! Inner, smaller shoots can get less light then your outside shoots and turn too LARF. Taking the inner will save some energy and put it back into your mains. If you choose you can take those and even the outer ones, further upwards. IMO, however, I feel that you've already cleaned this plant up very well and she looks good to go as is. Good luck no matter what course of action you choose👍. Happy trails.

Based on last 5 photos on week 12 in the diary, do you think they are too defoliated ? 5w left to go as I know

I think it’s fine as they will solely be concentrating on producing fruits. As long as you have no deficiency it’ll be all buds 👻

@oneskunkyboi, I’m not 100% sure my original Skunk naturally goes purple in the last couple days but the last clones I harvested from it had next to no purple the only difference is before environment wasn’t as important to me but I’ve learned it should be and have it under 100% control now and it’s very consistent and only harvested once the one with no purple so far. So it is possible that environment plays a role but I couldn’t say I’m not experienced enough lol

@Lionsshare, skunks are real beauties, never smoked one, can’t wait to :). Do you know if they have the genes to turn slightly purple by giving them low temperature on dark period?

Looks amazing! I have 5 seeds of this strain and I'll germinate them in March, for my next (second ever) grow. I wil definitely use your diary as a reference. Thanks for sharing!

@ActioPauliana, hey, thanks a lot ! When I germinated, I used 30 seeds just to be sure that 25 will make it, I was kinda surprised that 30/30 germinated and made it, but sadly I didn’t had enough room for 30 so I killed them early :(. This strain is pretty damn resistant overall, as I only encountered calmag problems and some nitrogen deficiency. Some people said that they encountered root rot or bud rot, I honestly think their fault was not giving them the environment they need or the attention. If you need help or if you’ll have any questions when you’ll grow em, don’t hesitate to message me :).
