Significant tweaking of the RDWC was done between runs to address what I felt was a low flow rate. Old build had the Danner 700 on a 3/4” intake and 3/4” return (lower level) lines, output was 1/2” T’d off twice to the buckets where I used a generic pvc elbow in 3/4” for the waterfall. Splash effect was almost nonexistent and flow was estimated at ~5minuntes for a full bucket exchange based on a ~14second fill time for a pint glass at the waterfall. New build brings in a Danner 950 (more for the larger native fittings on the pump than the increased gph) on a 1” intake and a fully rebuilt 1” return line (lower level) system between buckets and res for increased return flow rate, and a 3/4” output T’d off twice to the buckets where I found a 3/4” NPT to 1/2” barbed elbow adaptor for the waterfall. Splash effect is dramatically better and flow is now filling up a pint glass at the waterfall at ~5seconds giving me an estimated full bucket exchange every ~2minutes. Splash effect and flow rate are both significantly better now. Intake ball valve added for fine tuning of flow and future ease of pump exchange. Air stones increased from 4” to 5” discs. 1-12: shot glass 1-13: paper towel 1-14: rock wool. 2nd Chem Cookies went in shot glass also after concern that 1st was going to be a dud 1-15: 1st Chem Cookies wasn’t a dud so now I have 2, but the Pheno Finders Wedding Cake didn’t make it so we are still looking at 4 seeds and 4 buckets 1-17: surgery performed to remove the helmet from the zkittlez, not sure if she’s going to make it or not 1-19: Lights at ~36” and maybe 45% on the dial, dropping ~12k lux on the buckets Running Seedling1 nutes @ 50% Got the temps and humidity dialed in at ~70* and 70%rh by using the auto high humidity setting on the AC Infinities and a humidifier in the tent. 3of4 seeds sprouted, 4th is 2 days behind everyone else. Zkittlez had a hard time ditching its shell, with some help it’s been ditched but she doesn’t look great 1-20: I feel like the Zkittlez is going to pull through but I’m not as sure about the 2nd Chem Cookies, shes seemingly making no progress towards breaking ground under that rockwool. Dropping another Wedding Cake in a shot glass 1-21: Wedding Cake in the paper towel 1-22: Wedding cake in the rockwool

1-25: decided to hold to a seedling feed schedule for another week, especially since the Wedding Cake is a week behind, but figured if I was holding back on seedling nutes I should increase the amount. So going into this at Seedling1 nutes but at 75% Humidifier and AC Infinty auto humidity setting working wonders to keep the tent at 70-75* and 65-70% rh They’ve only grown ~1inch since I measured ~12k lux at the buckets, it can’t be much different

2-1: bringing the nutes up to EarlyGrowth2 @ 60% @ ~3” tall the plants are getting ~14-15k lux on them, will prob start increasing that in daily increments soon temps staying around 70 (65-75ish) and brought the humidity setting down to 65% (cycling from 60-65ish via auto setting) Chem Cookies has been the slowest grower so far but has had a healthy looking color to her and seems to be growing in nice. First set of branches have been snipped out while leaving the leaf (2nd set cut out on 2-2) Zkittlez has a set of ducks foot leaves, I’m assuming from the stress of having a hard time ditching its shell. Next set you can see coming in are normal. First and second set of branches have been snipped out while leaving the leaves Wedding Cake is showing signs that she might be a tall one, she’s on her first set of leaves (and is 1 week behind/1 week younger) and is pretty much the same height as the other 3 Starcake has been the fastest grower so far. She has had her first 2 sets of branches trimmed out while leaving the leaves, will probably be the first one topped 2-2: brought the lux up to ~17-18k at plant level. A daily increase of 3-4k/day should put me on pace to be at 40-50k lux for veg within ~week 2-4: topped the Starcake and Zkittlez @ the 4th nodes. Did Chem Cookies stop growing? 2-6: Starcake and Zkittlez doing fine after the topping, Chem Cookies is growing in fine just really slow. Few more days and I’ll prob be topping the Chem Cookies and the Wedding Cake. Ph and tds has been holding pretty steady (@~1000ppm currently and maybe 2gals low on water. Ph has had its typical 2-3 day raising after the water change but after knocking it down by day 2-3 it holds steady where I put it). Lights up to ~30-32k lux at the plants after daily incremental bumps up. Increasing light intensity has temps climbing to ~80, holding the auto 70% humidity setting for now but at some point I’m going to need to get those fans moving for temperature and sacrifice the humidity 2-7: topped the Chem Cookies at the 4th node and the Wedding Cake at the 3rd node

2-8: Nutes on LateGrowth3 @ 60% Lights @ full power, putting down ~32-33k lux @ plant tops, will only increase if I lower the light or plants grow at this point but I expect growth to pick me up the remainder of what I was looking for. Light going up in power has temps climbing, had to shut off auto humidity for constant-on fans for circulation and temp controls. Temps in the upper 70s, touching 80 with fans on 4, humidity hovering around 50% (+~20% above ambient). Still tinkering with humidifier and fans speeds, that may change. Everything has been topped once. Wedding cake on the 3rd node, everything else on the 4th. Chem Cookies has great color and is growing in so nice, just slow. Zkittlez is showing what I first thought was light burn but I think it still has some type of leaf mutation, possibly a continuation of its first set of leaves being ducks feet. Leaves are curling up along the edges in some places but they’re also too big to lay flat and not curl alongside another leaf it’s fighting for room with. I don’t think the Wedding Cake has liked being beside the humidifier but the humidifier is on its way out anyway, let’s see how she reacts to the next week or so and her new environment. Starcake grows fast and thick. 2-9: humidifier on max and fans on 4 seem to have leveled off with a temp @ ~70-75* (lights on) and ~60%rh. Bottom sets of leaves on Starcake and Zkittlez that did not support a branch were snipped, maybe it’ll slow them down by a day who knows 2-11: LST’d the Starcake 2-12: LST’d the Zkittlez, regret not leaving more stem under the topping location because I’m worried the top stems may be breaking off. First addition of water or nutes done. Tds has climbed into the 1400s and it was low on water so I tossed in ~2.5gals of plain water bringing the tds down into the 1100s and the water level back to full 2-14: LST’d the Chem Cookies and the Wedding Cake. I topped all of these entirely too close to the node and am having problems with stems cracking when LST’ing. I’m pretty sure at least one of the top stems for the Skittles is going to be a loss, but who knows maybe it’ll surprise me

2-15: Going into final week of veg on LateGrowth3 again, but @68% ~32-35k lux across the tops on avg Lights still on full, might be able to lower them a bit actually Have an airflow/humidifier settings dialed in keeping the tent at ~70-75* and ~50-60%rh on avg (Fans on 3-4, humidifier ~75%) Chem Cookies continues to be a slow grower, looks good but grows just so slow Zkittlez is in pretty bad shape after the LST cracked both top branches from a topping that was too low. One of the two already looking to be heading in a downward spiral, other looks good (for now) but I’m prepared for that to change any day Wedding Cake is def the smallest, but it did start a week later than the rest, and I don’t think it was a big fan of having the humidifier right beside it Starcake has a really bad looking branch after LST too, but it’s still growing fine and looks green and healthy... for now. Still the fastest grower 2-16: topped all of them a second time, some on the 2nd and some on the 3rd node depending on height Chem Cookies: 2 nodes x4 (16 tops) Zkittlez: 3 nodes x2, 2 nodes x1, injured branch wasn’t touched (16 tops + injured branch) Wedding Cake: 3 nodes x2, 2 nodes x2 (20 tops) Starcake: 3 nodes x4 (24 tops) 2-21: had to remove the LST tie-downs so I could pop lids, I had a minor clog starting. Considering how thick and ridged the branches were where the tie-downs were I’d be surprised if anything rises after they’ve been removed though. Both top branches to the Zkittlez looks like they’re going to be a loss

2-22: Flipping the light to 12/12. Dropped the scrog net for the stretch, the Starcake can already use it but not really anyone else. Nutes on Transition4 @ 68%. Lights still at their initial ~36” height above the buckets, making them ~30” above canopy with the scrog net @6”. Assuming a 1’ above-net stretch that’ll leave 18” between the light where it is currently hung at and the tops of the plants. This is putting down ~40k lux on the tops as they poke through the net currently I can’t get the temperatures to save but on avg it’s been 70-75*, 45-55%rh Chem Cookies continues to be the slowest growing. It’s a good looking plant but so short and slow Zkittlez is almost certainly losing both top branches from me topping it too low close to the node before LSTing Wedding Cake has caught up nicely Starcake is making impressions 2-25: snipped off a few of the lowest sets of fan leaves to start opening the bottom up for circulation

2-29: Been tucking any stretch back under the net every other day or so trying to fill the net out Growth (stretch) has them pushing the net up, only ~24” between them and the light now, putting ~40-45k lux down on them. ~6 more inches of above-net growth seems like it’ll have it ~50-55k lux coming down on them. Minor lower fan leaf trimming was done periodically last week. I’ll probably continue that this week Nutes on EarlyBloom5 @68% I still can’t get temps to save but they’re around 70-75 daily with a little fluctuation. rh ~50-55% Chem Cookies is a crazy slow grower, haven’t even been able to really tuck the thing yet. Zkittlez has one of its top two branches putting some effort into it, we’ll see how she does Wedding Cake caught up and seems like a pretty nice plant Starcake just grows, it’s pretty thick and bushy 3-4: been doing some trimming of lower fan leaves and branches for air circulation a little bit at a time every few days since flip, but today I did a decent amount (flower day11)

3-7: Growth has them at ~22” under the light now, putting down ~50k lux on them. Nutes on EarlyBloom6 @68% Pretty sure I’m done scrogging and am just going to let them stretch up now for bud formation Chem Cookies isn’t impressing yet Zkittlez has pulled through from the lost branches nicely and seems like a nice plant Wedding Cake did catch up to the rest height-wise but it is a week behind in germination too. Branches and bud sites seem like they’re going to be small but this might just be a factor of it not vegging for as long and just stretched to a height comparable to the others that were a week older Starcake seems like it might end up being the best of the bunch so far 3-8: (flower day 15) gave them their 2nd pretty serious under-net trimming, leaves and branches. It should only be minor trimming after this. Then I went through the canopy again and tucked any big fan leaves that could be moved to under the net down there.

3-14: Nutes on MidBloom7 @ 68% The little bit of post-scrog above net growth is working out perfect. Canopy is so full that the light reading fluctuates pretty wide but with ~18” plant height and ~18” between the canopy and light they’re getting ~60k lux (~50-70k fluctuation, maybe even 45-75k) The plant specific notes are no different than previous weeks, the Chem Cookies still isn’t impressing and everything else looks great so far (except for the fact that I was hoping to see more bud formation by now) 3-17: tops are def starting to form now. Raised the light ~3” to ~40” above the lids now after seeing some cupping on the Zkittlez, but it is the tallest. Next weeks plant and light measurements will take this into account

3-21: Nutes on MidBloom8 @ 68%. Pushed the ppm up a bit as high as ~1500 with top-offs last week, gave them a tinge of nute burn so I backed back off. I raised the light mid last week by ~3” but made no recording of it outside of the notes, I raised it another ~3” today. At start the light was ~37” over the lids and all summary stats up to this week are at that measurement. They were briefly at ~40” above the lids but as of now they’re ~43” and this weeks summary stats reflect that. Tops and buds are definitely forming now. Chem Cookies isn’t even visible anymore. It’s such a slow grower and short plant. The leaves also grow out and practically straight up, burying any tops or buds down deeper inside the canopy. I’m not a fan, I hope these buds have some redeeming qualities. Zkittlez is looking good, especially considering the hard life she’s had with those top branches. Wedding Cake just shot up this past week. It’s a week younger than everyone else and tied for the tallest with the Zkittlez and i swear just last week it was the same height as the Starcake. I thought I read somewhere that it stretches a bit in flower and that does seem to be the case. Looks good though. Starcake is just a healthy bushy beast up in that front row. Solid freebie so far 3-25: did some supercropping to the Wedding Cake and the Zkittlez to even up the canopy instead of raising the light any more (they were ~12” from the light while the Starcake was ~19”)

3-28: Repeating MidBloom8 nutes @ 68% for a 2nd week. ppm targeted ~1300 w fluctuations +/-200 last week seemed to work out well Since supercropping the canopy is a lot more even now. A few branches browned a bit and had vertical cracks at the bends so I came through and put a little painters tape on them to help reenforce and protect them while they adjust. Tops still look nice and green and all have repointed up Chem Cookies isn’t even really visible because it’s so short and small. Leaning over to take a peek at any early buds isn’t very impressive yet either Zkittlez is looking good. Prob got supercropped the most and handled it like a champ so far Wedding Cake seems to have stretched a lot in the past two weeks late in flower. It went from even with the Starcake to even with the Zkittlez out of nowhere. It also got super cropped a decent amount but so much of this higher growth is small branches. Starcake isn’t as frosty as the Zkittlez or the Wedding Cake but it seems like a solid plant 3-30: shut off top feed pump

Everything starting to bulk up a little, frosting up Chem Cookies: seems like I finally got a blind picture of this little thing lost in the back Zkittlez: frosting up beautifully, nice looking buds Wedding Cake: doesn’t look bad, but next to that Zkittlez it’s in tough company Starcake: prob has the most bulk to it, but it’s a thick Bush and I wonder what anything be,ow the top layer is going to come out like

4-25: Nutes on Ripen11 @68% for a second week while I watch trichomes Zkittlez might have an amber or two on it somewhere but Wedding Cake and Starcake both look mostly clear. Will run nutes until one of them gets some amber then switch it out for straight water. Watching for the next week 4-27: spotting some ambers starting to show up 4-28: amber increasing, still not many but increasing. Drained, and refilled with 90ml FloraKleen, will run this for 2 days, then drain and refill with straight water for 2 more days. 4day flush started? 4-30: drained and refilled with just water

Freebie strain. Grew fast and healthy, buds are the fattest of the bunch. Lacking an overwhelming frost but def the biggest buds of the batch

@Jef79, thanks! I’m much happiest with this run compared to my last/first.

Where are the buds bud?.. What is happening? 4 weeks in very strange. Are we at least seeing Trics developing and pistils on lower nodes? This is strange to me...

@@@Darkwarsongs, lower nodes do have pistils starting to make an appearance but yes the lack of any upper bud formation is starting to worry me. I don’t think I have any light leaks, unless the timer on my light is doing something wacky like turning on for some random 15minute increment when it should be off. I did veg for a pretty short period of time, and top multiple times, I’m hoping that’s all it is and it’s just a slight delay
