Soaked the seed in water 20hrs, put onto wet paper towel and planted as soon as I saw the little taproot 1 day after - and thats how a new weed was born :-)
Transplanted into final 7l pot. Also just watered plain tap water, no nutrients, no ph (dont have equipment to adjust pH). Plant growth starting to take off. I expect rapid growth soon.
Started first LST on day 21. Also started to fertilize with small amounts of BioBizz. Doesnt need much water for now, watering about 300ml every 3 days.
Plant really took off. Also, the grow area has a very sweet, distinct smell. So from now on I got an extraction fan and active carbon filter running. Everything else just looks great so far. Also, plant looks great after the LST ive done so far.
Flowering has started, im so excited :-))) Lets see how the stretch goes. Also fed first time with bloom nutrients and boosters (as per schedule by biobizz)
Raised the fertilizing amount by a bit. Looks great so far, flowers developing and the LST seems to be working perfect. I just love having the tent open and looking at the plant, its so amazing to see it grow so fast from day to day!!!
Some lower leaves are turning yellow. I bet it is due to a light nitrogen deficiency caused by the below-schedule feed and stretch that needs lots of N. I kept fertilizing with 3ml / l of BioGrow. Lets hope that wasnt a dumb idea ^.^ Otherwise everything is fine, smell slowly starting to get stronger and first little trichome heads forming on top pistils.
The yellowing of the leaves has slowly come to an end - as well as the stretch. The whole plant is just 28cm tall (from soil level, without the pot height of course) which seems really small. But the buds seem to stack up nicely. Trichomes are developing really slow but it loooks good for now. Obviously RQS estimation of 8 weeks is a bit off.
Started to water with only plain water. Unfortunately I have to harvest at the end of week 10 no matter what. So lets see how far we can get this, trichomes dont look ripe, smell is getting stronger though. Smeels quite fruity tropical, and also a little pungent if you go really close with the nose... That was an excellent rhyme :P
Wow so the smell is really getting noticeable now. Fruity Cream-ish smell. Quite complex but smells super tasty. This is gonna be the last week and the leaves are slowly turning yellow. And the spots on the leaves almost look like leaf septopia. I dont care about that now as its the final week anyway. But I would love to know where that fungus came from.
Since the seed germinated its a 100% germination rate for me. The smell is incredible, I'm gonna update on taste and effect later on. But everyone keep in mind that this one was harvested way too early, it wouldve needed another 1 or 2 weeks to finish. Not only because I had to, but also because I was sort of aiming for that head high that you are supposed to get when you harvest a bit earlier. Lets see ;)
But props to RQS for the really resistant and stable genetics. They do great on LST.
Would recommend every beginner thats short on time to try this strain. Very easy to grow, very light feeder, extremely resistant and resilient, decent and very fast results?
And I do start to think that the yellow brown patches were a potassium and / or phosphorous deficiency (makes sense considering the early flush). So Im updating the disease restistance to strong. I encountered nothing at all. No diseases, no Pests, nothing :)
So the drying was quite a fast process aswell with 4,5 days total drying time. Buds are mostly dry though (had a dehumidifier in the tent keeping it at or slightly below 40% RH). I know all the quality loss stuff but I really do have time issues... wasnt planning ahead well enough in the first place. Anyway, got everything trimmed (good enough for personal use) and jarred up now and put the trim in the freezer for future baking projects ;). As for the RH shown on the hygrometer in the jar, its a cheap one from china and I dont expect it to be even close to showing the correct RH. But everything within a +-5% margin should be fine. Got a Boveda in there so everything should be safe. Still gonna have an eye on that for the next couple of days.
Anyways, Thanks everyone for reading that diary. I tried to set it up during the grow but I didnt have the time to fully complete it.
Hope to see you anytime soon even though Its probably gonna be some time until then.
Cheers guys and peace!
thank you for all the information shared.
I am growing the same plant and all your advices are very helpful for me.
this is my first experience ever.
cheers
@Lenore, Thanks for your comment! Just wanted to let you know that what I got out of this grow was not really good after all. I just couldnt let it ripen and dry long enough - didnt have the time. Just make sure to give it enough time in the end and cure it well. If you need any help at any time, feel free to contact me via pm, a little help never killed somebody :P
