thank you to barney's for sending me these seeds to try, very cool. I started 2 seeds a month back, but unfortunately ran into root rot, in my country they don't allow hydroguard, and i can't afford a chiller. I tried to use h20. but in the end i was defeated by the root rot 😞. I bought a bigger air pump, more stones.and bleached everything down, hopefully we don't run into that again. this is around week 3 of starting over. plant was looking a little limp for a few days, but she seemed to bounce back when i lowered the reservoir water and added the extra air stone.

almost 4 weeks in.. plant seems to be a beastly one, just the way the stem and lower branches are growing makes me think im going to like this one (fingers crossed. got what appears to be branches growin in weird places, but extra branches is a good thing for me. i topped it,and might do a bit of lst and minor defoliation(just whats in the way ) this week.

i been sick a lot this month,so haven't really gave this plant a lot of attention, but its going well enough without me. the roots are already cramped inside the 5 gallon buckets,a bit concerning but they seem to enjoy the extra air stones i added. i topped it last week, removed 4 or 5 leaves, did some lazy mans lst (just bending the branches last few days not tying anything down). i will probably flip to flower next week,i don't wana overfill my tent this time.

week 6 and the final week of veg, were going into flower now my favorite part. i started to get the slightest brown on my tips yet my ppm was very low, i think this was from not changing the water enough so i fixed that and fed her more now. i lst a lot this week trying to flatten out that canopy. i also trimmed a huge amount,an amount that scared me at first, but i always wanted to try heavy defoliation and see if it works for myself. on the plus side it will help with my circulation and reduce my chances of mold.

this week you get shit pictures cause never any sun here. plants are doing well, as soon as i flipped the pineapple had white hairs very next day. the shiskaberry still has no white hairs but is stretching and catching up to the pineapple. its only been a week since my mass defoliation and it looks like i didnt even trim anything( will have to re-trim week 3 of flower) i also bought an ac infinity exhaust fan for better circulation, and i will be buying a dehumidifier this week. i might start a scrog today ,its kind of late but if anything it will be support for the buds.

this week i decided to make a lil scrog net for them, kinda late, although its not really for scrogging as much as its for support when the buds get heavy. its been 70-100% humidity outside all week, and although were early in flower this concerns me,since late flower will be in spring and typically its even wetter then. i bought a dehumidifier and im able to lower it to 50 % but that's with it running most of the day. i gave the plants another big trim this week, i was going to wait tell week 3 but it was kind of needed so i could figure out he scrog easier. 1 more week tell we start seeing some buds forming!

3 weeks down and im feeling good. my scrog didn't really scrog, was too late, but its going to support my branches and that's really all i wanted. i did my final leaf strip to really let that "blurple" light get down low, and to promote air circulation,i probably over did it but i wanted to experiment. my shiskaberry finally started showing pistils, thank god i thought something was wrong with it,it smells skunky already my pineapple smells very much like candy. i flipped at the right time because they stopped growing about 15 inches from my light and it cant go any higher i also bought a dehumidifier and im feeling a lot better about this grow😎 hopefully that will stop the evil mold. happy growing frens

1 week since my massive defoliation and shes filling out again nicely. buds aren't the biggest but we still got 4-5 weeks to go so i ain't worried. 😎 got my humidity at 50 and no higher, and got that fan on extra power now. the smell isnt too bad,im not even using a filter and i can't smell it coming in my house. however if you rub the flower ,boy does it smell amazing,it should be maid into an air freshner for my house. oddly this pineapple smells more like sour skittles than my gorilla zkittles did. see ya next week

5 weeks down ,maybe 4 to go,so far i am very satisfied. the candy smell has gone to a more skunky-lemonene smell, and the buds are getting very thick compared to my other grows at this time,im glad i put up a last minute trellis. my ppm was around 900 for a week, and this last week i thought itd be a good time to flush a bit just to make sure my salt didn't get too high, brought the ppm down to 450 for a few days just giving it water. im back to adding more fertilizer,i tested my ph and was shocked to see it was at 4.5 . that's too low,yet my plant doesn't seem to care at all so im not going to try and fix what isn't broken next week i plan to raise the ppm to around 1200 ,really see what she can take. thankyou for checking up on my marijuanas 😌 .

6 weeks in and the wait is killing me. legit smells like skunky pineapples now, which is very rare to have a weed actually smell like its name. still barely any orange hairs,im afraid we probably have 3 weeks to go still cause the calyx aren't even swollen. i dropped humidity to 45 but thats pretty much as low as my dehumidifier will go,as its constantly 90 % humidity where i live. i been feeding extra heavy but not quite enough,so next week even higher. the trichomes are coming in very heavy, and these are the biggest buds i grew so far with this light,so daily bud rot inspection time. thanks for checkin in, i wish you all a nice harvest.✊

week 7 and smelling stronger than ever. got her fed high as i wanted to now, and will probably be switching to water in another half a week. the most i want to grow her is another 2 weeks for the top buds, they are showing signs of light stress and are maturing faster than the rest of the plant cant fix the light stress cause its as high as they will go,so 2 part harvest it will be. i cant wait to smoke these beautiful buds, thankyou for checking in.

week 8 and im not sure when i will chop. i wanted to chop the top buds 2 weeks earlier than the rest, seems to be a lot of amber but just at the very top,and lower part of top buds still got some white hairs. smells amazing, like tropical fruits and skunks; i like to just get high and stare at these buds for 20 minutes at a time, like therapy. 😵 buds seem to be swelling up now, they look very shapely, but again mostly just the buds nearest to the light. now i just check on each big bud everyday ,hoping the dreaded bud rot doesnt get me again. opinions on harvest please let me now, thankyou for checkin in.

buds crowded, worried about bud rot coming but only on week 8, do you think id be safe to chop just the tops in like 4 or 5 days? i started flushing couple days ago (hydroponics)dwc. if not how much longer would you estimate?

Hey mate, It especially depends on how you flush. If you use an finish or clean additive it will cut a couple days of flushing. But a relatively rule would be flush at least 5/7 days before you harvest (depends on the size of the buds). That gives the plants some time to throw out all the salt and minerals build up in the buds. What will give you an harsh smoke. In your case I would wait at least 7 days after flush, unless you use an additive like flawless finish. The stress your plants will get by cutting the top should not be a problem, it could even make the lower buds bigger and more resinous. I hope this helped you to make decisions!😉 Try out how to handle this with fun, because that's what an harvest should be! 😁 Good luck🤙🏼

pineapple tops chopped at 8 weeks 4 days, the rest i will give another 2 weeks to fatten up. tops probably could of went another week, but oh well im still extremely happy with the results. the buds smell ridiculously like cantaloupe, when i was trimming it the smell kept bringing me back memories of a strain i used to smoke in highschool, i know im going to love this one because its been so long that i smelled buds this tropical. i will upload the official "harvest " in 2 weeks when these tops have been cured, and the rest of the plant is chopped down. happy growing✊

firstly thanks again to barneys farm for sending me these seeds to try. overall it was a great experience. growing----the pineapple is very easy to grow, very resilient.it handled p.h. from 4.4 to 7 and it didn't even bother it,i completely broke off a branch during flower and taped it back on and it morphed back.no mold or pests, very fast growing my roots filled my 5 gallon pale in first month ,handled my feeding without any burn, loves defoliation , loves training, i felt like it was fighting me during lst, the gorilla tape couldn't even hold them branches down 💪,and it grows nice big buds covered in thc.. yeild--very good ,dont be fooled by the results it shows. it says 600w light but its only actually 260w old chinese light, and it was used to grow 2 different strains at once, so my gpw is higher than it shows here. smoke-. i did not feed her heavy so i ended up with a really nice smooth smoke ,and a white ash. when you inhale you taste cantaloupes, and when you exhale you taste mad skunky sort of taste, straight fire and i love weed that takes me back to the old days which this does. high-- very indica. starts off happy and you do a lot of self reflecting and good for music making, then its followed by very sleepy and hungry if you smoke too much. mistakes- i should of probably gave her another week in flower and dropped temps a bit more,i would of ended up with tighter buds, but im still very happy with the results. if you want chop chop pictures thats last week. overall 9/10 because as beautiful as the pineapple is, the shiskaberry(check out my other diary) is even better. thanks for checking out my grow and please let me know what you think.✊
