As you can see this first time grow started very spontaneously (edibles) after finding some bag seeds.. They spent the first 2 months on my windowsill, and lacking additional nutrients. From the very start this was meant as a bit of fun, and i never thought they'd even make it to harvest day! I know one of the plants is Sunset Sherbet but the other is an unknown bag seed.. So no idea what it is, I've dubbed here Mysterion.
Quiet week sorry for the lack of photos, I only took photos because i was so impressed the rate at which they were jumping up!! Had no intention of making a dairy at the time, I never even thought they would survive on my windowsill! (I'm in North Europe.. Not that much sun!)
These girls were planted 3 days apart, as you can see the sunset sherbet has made much more progress on my windowsill. I topped them both this week not to attempt a higher yield but purely because they were getting too tall to be on the windowsill (not legal here) I also had the Sunset Sherbet on a lower ledge as I was worried about nosey neighbours. Only like this for a photo!
They both seemed to recover fine from the topping. I read a little about them online at the time. I wish I knew about this site though! Would have been able to get more advice!
I can't believe they've got this big on my windowsill! Absolutely amazing plants! I honestly thought I would have dead seedlings! Haha.. Sorry for the lack of photos of Mysterion for now! More ARE coming.
So this week i finally got a little 90l stealth grow box of fleabay.. Its pretty basic but a good start. I had to do some pretty serious training on the Sunset Sherbet to even get in the box, including retopping and a big bend for and old stem like that! The box is only about 20 inches external height. I bent over mysterion a little but she wasn't a big in the first place. Seem to have spent the good part of this week adjusting nicely to their new home. I was curious if they'd miss the diverse light from the sun or just be happy to have a more reliable source.. 😆
Good week, added the rest of the nutes this week, again with a lower strength than recommended to start with as to not shock the plants. They both seem to be reacting well to the training. It constantly amazes me how clever, strong and adaptable this weed can be! Incredible. I'm already excited to see if i can see any difference in speed with the major feed upgrade! Also found some time to tighten up some of the ties I made last week on the mysterious bag-seed dubbed 'Mysterion'!
Really satisified with progress this week, seems the constant LST and the nutrients are certainly doing their jobs! Plants both seem to be flourishing and getting very hairy little buds now, not just preflower! Very exciting, smells great too, not a strong smell yet but still quite sweet, fruity and very pleasant.
Reaally happy how this girl has turned out for my first ever grow! Almost 150 days ago (i know it took a while) i put this bag seed into my coriander for a laugh and now look! How are these plants so good at adapting to anything we throw at them?
Looking healthy dude, a bit of stretch going on there though I would get the light closer to try and stop any more stretch, you want the nodes a bit closer together and the stems stronger and thicker to support some nice weighty buds!
Good luck with the rest of your grow 👍🌱
@Green_T, Cheers dude. I cropped them a few weeks back now I'm just being slow at updating on here! Lots of photos to organise lol. The stems thickened out quite a bit by the end, as did the buds. Didn't quite get what I was hoping for but pretty good for the first time i think!
