Even in Thailand that Now temps 37c (sometimes i forgot to turn-on air-con) Its still goes purple well. Very attractive to watch. Very strong mango scents. Yes its great strain.
If temperature range is between 79-86F, I’ll be stunned to see purple. And impressed. And considering my first seed purchase in years.
@Silky_smooth - I always respect the opinion of my maestra... will she purple in 26-30oC?
Why are night temps warmer than day?
@growdoctordc, 1 out of the 5 BlackBerry's I just harvested didnt turn purple and my average temp was about 85. It's just in the genetics and them being different phenotypes.
@theplar,
It seems that autos have a purpose I hadn’t known. They’re here to stay, for better or worse.
Last summer my outdoor crop of photos began flowering in 15+ hours of sun per day. No one can explain it. I’ve bred these seeds since 2016. No hermies. No problems. They just grow themselves with little attention, in the back of a greenhouse shared with decorative flowers.
I’m growing four plants from the 2019 seed harvest now. They receive 24/0 LED light. They’re six weeks old. Yesterday I saw what appears to be male on one plant and female preflowers on another.
How can a photoperiod plant turn auto on her own? I’m baffled.
Sorry for the partial thread jack, but it’s related and curious, and I thought worth mentioning. Hope you do too.
@growdoctordc, I been plants auto only because I travel every three or four months, but next project will seed photoperiod thai sativa soon “if i found 99% feminists seed”
But pest and mold are the main problem here, they loves our climate so much.
And temps going too hot even 100% sativa (about 34-40c in summer)
