I started noticing some purple stems and some Browning in between veins and edges about 1 week ago. I introduced the new LED light that is pretty strong and a UV-A/UV-B 30w for trichomes and potency about 3 weeks ago. Plant 1 -- I gave a pretty good flush and quarter strength nutrients for a feed and waited 3 days then gave a regular feeding. I'm using a blend of super soil that is made primarily of HP precision (peat) amended with Coco and soybean, alfalfa, cottonseed, green sand, aza, etc. Plant 2 -- there were no signs like with the brown edges, etc. Just minor nutrient burn and some purple stems. Is this causes by nutrient burn or a symptom of something else? This is first time I had mixed soil and all thru veg they were very healthy and green.

Is the browning caused by nutrient burn or symptoms of something else? I had previously backed off, but want to know if I'm missing something. Most of the stems are red for leaves as well as petrioles. My runoff is around 900 each time @6.1. Only one plant of 2 has this.

Howdy. I'm basing this answer on a 4x4 tent and focusing more on what you mentioned in your entry, not the question, about your chiLED logic 660. I like LED tech and looking up things I've never seen. I've never seen this! Holy friggin powerful and with supplemental UVB too boot. Anyway, I checked their specs and if you're in a a 2x2 to 4x4 they recommend a 24" buffer space for adequate, even intensity and flowering footprint. Most all LED's I've seen have been 18-24 inches but this is the first time I've seen a manufacturer spec for 24".... Your girl does seem to be cupping a bit too early at this stage of flower and it does look like she's burning a bit. This beast of an LED could easily be SOME of the symptoms you're seeing around the top section and you cola fan leaves. As for the actual question about Nutrients (lol). I feel you're totally fine, do not stop. A flush is good once in awhile but they want the goods real bad right now. The reddening I believe to be the phenotype and not a symptom of deficiency 👍. The browning a symptom of light burn/stress😕. I hope this helped. Girls are looking good and getting fat! Got's nothing to worry about my friend. Cheers and good luck in the coming days👌☺️

I'm entering Wk 7 and the same lady is hurting again. She's been feeding heavy for last few weeks and doing great. So, I gave a light water/microbes dose w/can and Epson. Now I think its potassium or something else entirely... Brown spotting, yellow, crispy? Thoughts?

You may have overfed her, causing the dry brown spots and burnt tips I see, this could have then caused nute lockout. Flush the medium and apply a foliar spray until she’s ready to be watered and fed again.

Nice buds! I'm having a similar issue with the leaves on my skunk that's just over half way through flower. I've started increasing my cal mag food, but I'm still battling it too. Seems to have only effected 1 of the 4 for me, will be watching to see if you can get it taken care of. Good luck!

@CrankledLarkus, which diary of yours has it?

@CrankledLarkus. Yea, bro. It's crazy, same strain as other healthy one. It def. looks like two phenos, but usually I'm fine with that. This is first time I mixed my own soil and ran half strength nutes, so could have made mistakes there and just don't know enough to dial it in yet. But hey, I'm learning more and more.

@Waters I've gone ahead an foliar sprayed (camg, micro nutrients) with some BT bacteria spray as well just to mitigate any botryallis concerns. I hit the leafs than the buds, but just to take precautions. The last feed was basically water for most part, will do another water only tomorrow.
