Good seed pop, one isa Blimburn GSC and the other was a bag seed from a MASS dispensary (Sour Diesel X Animal Cookies). The "Sour Animal" i'm calling it popped a week behind the GSC
The screen went in week 1 of flower ( I built it by hand to customize the fit). I will defoliate next week. Tops are showing. LST and topped prior to flower so many bud sites are starting to set.
We have buds! The GSC is doing well and forming buds and pistils. The sour animal is still placing bud sites and I see it is female for sure! I'm noticing some pests in the garden (gnats).
Crystal production is getting crazy. Noticed some deficiencies, so i'll be upping the nutes next week. Increasing molasses and set traps for gnats (I think they're fungus gnats)
Wow, it was like overnight these buds grew and the trichome production was amazing. It's almost like it hit it's stride and took off. Gnats are under control and eliminated with natural and organic means only.
Started using terpinator (just came in the mail) late. I hope it increases terps because man this crop smells nice. The GSC has a very kush smell with sweet, diesel-like aromas. The sour animal smells like straight fuel and lemon, with a hint of pepper. I like the way the buds are stacking in the sour animal; very sativa like stretching. The GSC is indica dominant with very dense buds. The pistils are starting to turn orange and brown as she gets closer to the senescence period in about 2 weeks. If you even graze your sleeve or hand on any of these ladies you will reek for hours after.
Getting to the end of the grow. Calyxes are swelling nicely. I've noticed the GSC's white hairs are starting to retreat and turn dark. The sour animal's pistils are almost all retreated in. Crystal production has been in full swing with the sour animal cross and GSC is no slouch. GSC smells so kushy (sweet and dank) with a slight citrus nose. All pests are eradicated. This will most likely be the last week of nutrients before I start the flush. I scoped the trichomes and started to see cloudy heads and 5-10% amber. Stay tuned for next week to see the ladies swell to explosion.
