Plant number three in my current tent cycle. Love HSO, so I think their Green Crack will be a wicked grow. Really excited to see how she grows. Wanting a bunch of nice sativa traits to stretch and fill my net ASAP.
Growing nicely, slightly smaller than the super silver hazz. Nothing to mention yet. Might give a myco and fish tea feet on day 14, just for fun.
Growing a little less stretched out than the other sativa I've got going.
D15: Mixed up a little fermented fish and mycorrhizae. Growing a little more dense than my critical super Silver Haze. Fun to see that this one has more Indica traits.
Going to top it at three nodes.
D19, the side branches started to look decent so I popped off her head. They should take over in a day or two. Growing nicely hybrid so far.
D22: growing nicely. Seems to have recovered from the topping a couple days ago.
D25: wanted all the branches to grow nice and even so I bent her over. Will let them get a decent height then I'll top them all again and that'll probably be it before flower, we shall see.
D27: I'll remove the fan leaves to let the branches get some more light in a day or two when they're a little bigger, don't want to remove them all with nothing to replace them.
D29: pushing up some nice growth. Plucked a leaf yesterday. Very nice recovery from that topping.
D32: growing nice and green. Very green. All the branches are keep pace with each other.
D35: still growing nicely. Very green and the branches are all nice and even so far. Not sure if I'll top it once more, gonna have to see how she stretches and branches now.
D38: transplanted to the final pot, the roots had a neat branching structure I should have taken a picture of. Pulled some leaves as well.
D39: perked up nicely with the extra root space.
D42: total bush mode. Healthy little green shrub seems to be taking up all the room she can now that's she's transplanted. Going to let her stretch a bit more than maybe train her a bit.
D45: a bit of training yesterday, moving things around. Love how green she is.
D49: growing alright. Not as vigourous as the haze strain I'm growing but that might just be the indica traits keeping it smaller.
Very nice colour and interesting leaves. They look a little thicker than most leaves.
D52: growing nicely, very green. Nice branch production. Think I might train it later today a little if I get bored.
D56: normally I'd be switching this to flower in Sunday, around day 60. But I had trouble with starting the fourth seed at the beginning of the cycle so we're gonna wait until the pineapple chunk is closer to day 60. Maybe a other week and a half or so.
D59: normally would switch to flower today but I'm waiting for my pineapple chunk to hit 60 days. Trained it yesterday and she recovered quickly.
D64: this plant has been such a nice shade of green its whole life, it's nice in person because it stands out. Picked a few leaves to open up the inside but otherwise it's clear sailing until next weekend when they get flipped.
Really debating clipping a clone incase her flowering turns out to be awesome because her veg has been sooo easy.
D68: four more days of veg. I've been trying to let the inside get as much light as possible. I want every branch to be a nice nug instead of some lower popcorn bud
D72: Final bending and plucking. To prep from flower I took off the old big fan leaves and small sucker branches. I've also gone basically the whole veg with no ferts in my soil mix, but now I've been feeding with my fish ferment mix every second day. Added in the general organics GO Thrive to the mix to add some food for the soil as it's not salt based so it takes a little time to start to break down.
The girls always look so sad when you train them.
D74 was first day of 12/12
D77: day four of flower. Nothing unexpected yet. This week should start to stretch and I look forward to this part of the grow. Updating on the ref as usual.
D84/F11: growing nice. A little bit of stretching, not many hairs yet.
F13. I had forgotten to change my light last week, just switched from MH to HPS
F17: a bit of stretching this week, nice little bud sites have formed but it's slow to put out hairs. Starting to peek out today, you can see. I'm expecting the plant to push hairs out of all the flowers soon all at once in a little pubey explosion.
Surprisingly though is the resin production has started. You can see a little bit of frost underneath. The tip on the forming buds.
F18: a little bit of stretching last week, small bit of bud formation, looks like there will be a hairy explosion soon from the little green nubs. Hoping the flower gets big enough to fill the spaces caused by stretching. We do have some resin starting. A little bit of frost forming, you can see on the zoomed in pic.
This plant has grown pretty similarly in structure to the Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk I have going now.
F24: lower leaves are starting to yellow. There's a nice bit of frost on the plant but not many hairs. It's a weird looking flower in my opinion. Hoping it keeps stacking because it's kind of leafy right now.
F26: tiny little buds, kinda leafy. Lots of resin already though. I've never had bud grow like this before, all tiny and not very hairy. Usually they're like the haze I'm growing.
F29: still little hairs. Lots of bud filling the space but it's kind of a leader bud. Lower calyx to leaf ratio. But tonnes of resin so i don't think it matters much when the leaves are coated in the good stuff.
F32: leafy buds from this seed. Little flowers and short hairs, but lots of resin and a nice smell. I don't mind leafy buds except they're not as dense, so other folks think it's poorly grown.
Check out the nice before and after pic from last weekend when i went away from mother's Day.
F39: still a leafy bud we're on the second half of flower now, finishing it up. The hairs have started to turn brown.
I feel like this would have looked really good outside as this looks kind of like a cheese strain I grew outside a year or two ago.
F45: I'm starting to like how thick the cola looks. Starting to wither as the lower leaves are turning yellow and the upper leaves are slowly changing from the tips down. Also a few brown hairs now.
Maybe two weeks or so left. Not entirely sure how fast it will ripen at the end.
F46: at first I was kinda meh, about the leafiness of the bud, but it's so firm and dense and there's actually quite a bit of resin on it too. This strain morphology reminds me of a lot of different Cheese hybrids that I grew outdoors once. They got super dense and crystally, but a little leafy from being outdoor but super nice as they finished well in northern Canada. If I had saved a cutting of this Green Crack, I would have put it outside this year as I feel like this would have been wonderful outdoors.
f48: Took some pictures with my Nikon to look at the trichomes. Never really realized until I was editing the pictures how CHUNKY she is!! Bright Green flower buds filling up the inside!! Gonna be real interesting how the next 2 weeks go!
F53: a sad little hole in tent where one of the ladies was :( but don't be sad because it's harvest time!
I'll take some more nice photos with the Nikon this weekend so check in in Saturday for more high res pics.
Plant has really put on some girth in the last two weeks or so. Nice n chunky. I'm really interested to see how she fills out in the final two weeks here. Old leaves started to fade a day or two ago, tips are getting a little more colour too. 14 days from death.
F58: we've had some cold nights here and the tent hit 55 the other day. Nice colour change happening, buds are finishing up real nice.
F60: saw the first few amber trichomes on the flowers this morning with the Nikon, right on track to get chopped in about 7-10 days. Whenever the great white shark is done drying, this lady will be next. Her flowering has been so interesting. A little leafy, but consistently resiny so I won't need to worry about a tight trim too much.
The fade was very beautiful, with the buds swelling in the end, a bright green pushing through the sugar leaves with frosted tips straight outta the late 90s. Nice gold and oranges with a bright green bud. Very excited to see how this one smokes!!
F67: I feel like she's technically done, but the other plant is more done so she gets the drying space first. Another 6-7 days won't be the end of the world for this girl. She's turning a beautiful gold colour all over and it'll be nice to let it finish withering.
If you right click the first image and click view image, you can see it full res, and really zoom in.
And that's all she wrote for the green crack. For a total of 70 days flower time, it hit 80 grams all trimmed up. The trim kind of sucked as it was a kind of leafy bud from this plant. The nugs were still nice and big and dense though.
Lovely looking lady. One if my favorite strains. In for a treat. Fantastic work my friend. Keep it up and may the ganja garden gods bless you along the way with this grow and all future endeavors as well
It looks like the vertical stretch has slowed and focus has shifted to beautiful bud production 🤗
Looking really good so far my friend 👊
Stay safe out there 🙏
Kind regards ✌️
