This week all I wanted to see some kind of growth and I kinda see it, they both still look sad , the first plant looks like it's doing "ok" I do see new roots developing so that's a good sign. The 2nd plant still some brownin' appears on some leaves I don't know BUT I do see new roots growing on her my question is: should I still keep her going? OR let her get the axe? The deficiency still appears and I've done everything on the book but don't wonna give up on her (just yet) but I really don't know what to do with her? I wonna give her sometime see what she tells me or if u guys know what am doing wrong I would greatly appreciate

Hey man, as @wildeweed said you will constantly battle with pH and issues with your plants unless you get some nutrients that have good buffering capability. General hydroponics maxigro and maxibloom are the answer to your issues. It's cheap and it will hold your pH steady. The situation you are in now having to knock your pH back down all the time is stressful for the plants. The roots don't like constant fluctuation up and down. You can rotate frozen water bottles to keep it cool, but that won't actually change your pH. pH readings increase as temps drop but it is still technically the same. Just give the maxi nutrients a shot and it will make your life a lot easier.

@Wicked_Stix, hey man appreciate your time, and I'll look into the G.H. Maxi line-up what great community this site has!

You need to drain both buckets, flush the plants with some biocare clearex or sledgehammer, and start fresh. If your pH was a 7.1 you need to get everything perfect ASAP. Start fresh and clean, and get the ph 5.8 stable and check it every few hours for the first day. Just my opinion though. Good luck!

@Matahierbas, Not a problem. You got one of the best groups of people on here. They’ve saved my ass more times than I can count. Lol. Losing expensive nutrients suck, but I’d rather waste nutes than kill a plant ya know.

You will not keep a steady pH no matter what you do man. It’s a constant struggle. I couldn’t settle mine down until greenmachine put me on to maxigro and maxibloom. Water bottles frozen will help keep the temp down. But the pH will screw you fast if you can’t get it in check.

@WildeWeed, yea I've notice that with this grow, just gotta be intop of it, but so far this is my healthiest harvest, my roots are Browning up so am gonna hit em with the flush (doing that as we speak)

I defoliate my autos any time they need it. You’ll stunt growth for a short bit, but they recover fast regardless of grow medium.

She does look sad I think it's a pH imbalance. But all good learning as I go.
