Lost Zookie #1 to herm so now I’ve spread out the last plant to open up the canopy. Did some light lollipopping so that the lower growth doesn’t influence the top. Gonna wait a couple of days before removing the fan leaves to promote the bud growth.
I started to remove some of the foliage that was blocking any major bud sites. I also top dressed with DTE products (Seabird Guano, Langbeinite) and a touch of Dr. Earth Bud and Bloom for a light dose of beneficial microbes. Watering at 1.5 ltrs every other day.
Nothin much to report but waterings of recharge and aloe/coco water every other day. Waiting for week 6 to see if any more defoliation needs to happen.
Nearing the 6th week I prepared to boost PK dramatically by top dressing langbeinite and making a seabird guano drench for the first day of the 6th week (48 hour steep)
Week 6 is looking very good. This is the first grow where I am loving the morphology of the buds. My recent runs with the Sunset Sherbet x OG cross (Relentless) were more true to its cookie ancestry whereas this plant seems to be taking the form of the Gorilla Glue #4 characteristics more imo. I added a Seabird Guano drench (48 hour steep) just to make sure that the P was high. Plant is throwing off some awesome aromas!!! can't wait till week 7
Week 7 is looking promising. I plucked a few leaves but not all of the fans as im not comfortable yet to strip my plants. The trichomes are already milky so I will only be using water to flush out the plant and use up the remaining nutrients from the soil. Only additive I will use now is Horticulture Coco powder during the flush every other watering. Gonna check the trichomes this week to see if it ambers up on me but for now its looking like a 8-9 week harvest
Week 8 is all about trichome watching. I actually found some clears still but the majority is milky excluding the ones that bursted from the heat. All im feeding the plant is water and horticulture coconut every 2 days to dissolve any nutrients still left in the pot dry out properly. If the plant doesn't have all milky and some ambers forming naturally by the end of this week I will pull it to Day 63 (week 10 Day 1)
Buds looking amazing a lot bigger than my last batches. Since it came from bad genetic I dont know how its gonna end up taste wise but the tests been promising as far as high goes. Good experiment in my 2x2
As this was just an experiment it came out better then expected. I have one more version of zookies going into flower next week so well see the differences between the two.
@Denzul, thanks brah lets see if I can do it a second time with the next one. Gonna throw my last Zookie plant in flower as I work on some real genetics I just grabbed
Looking good! Very healthy lady you got there. I would definitely stretch it out to 9 weeks maybe even 10, you will definitely not be disappointed in the extra terps, potency, and density in the buds especially after a proper cure.
@GrandDaddyByrd, of course! Reminds me of my first grow, me being uneducated at the time as well as a little impatient to have a finished product in front of me, lead to a beautiful looking, super frosty, amazing sweet tasting smoke. But there was just not much potency. I only ran it the 8.5 weeks they suggested on the breeders site and called it good. Definitely wish I would have pushed her too 10 weeks. My grow now is currently on day #64 of flowering or just finished week #9 and is already smelling better then my first go around.
@Cheesefarmer420, Appreciate it! I was just checking the trichomes on the colas they are almost all milky but a few bursted due to excessive heat but I'm going to stay patient on this one my last two harvest were tasty but mediocre as far as trichome maturity.
@@SNoWfLaKe420,yeah I know it wouldnt let me change the percentages or the stats really if you look at my weeks they all say the same thing because it wouldnt let me update
ZOOkies is not 100% sativa I was reading about it earlier today it’s Gorilla Glue #4 x Animal Cookies not sure about the AC but the GG is indica dominant hybrid so it can’t be 100% sativa and especially with the crazy breeding going on today unless it’s a landrace strain it’s not 100% anything
