Welcome to my MicroGrow, i decided to try 4 one gallon pots instead of 2 three gallon pots to see if I can get an overall higher yield and maybe even better control over the environment. I’m excited to use Big Bud powder and see how much it will add on to quality and quantity of the grow. Deep Blue C x Sour Bubbly is about a week ahead of everyone and I did this on purpose to use it to test new training techniques and the big bud to ensure i get those things right on the other 3.
Bad turn out for 4AM and 3BOG, unfortunately both didn’t germinate, I think due to fungus gnat larvae. Big bummer. I put my second 3BOG to germinate, hoping for a better outcome. Also, I’m attempting to salvage the 4AM as it’s my last seed of hers, hopefully some magic happens.
Starting half strength week 1 nutes on day 11 for DBCxSB. So far she’s more than a week ahead of the other ladies. Also will be topped on day 11.
Day 14 watered twice already from 0.5 L to 1 L and topped above the third node on day 12.
Day 8FS/17DBCxSB, all is going well. Giving DBCxSB a bit of a mainline and lst. Still nothing on the 4AM and 3BOG:/
3BOG was a dud as well :(
DBCxSB showed preflowers on around day 27. She’s been filling out but I’ve been aggressive on the defoliation and training. Looks like she’ll be bigger than my last one of this strain. She’s responding well to training.
Not su much growth from forum stomper, she looks thick in the main stem but that’s pretty much it. She’s healthy so I hope in flower she’ll have dense buds.
Day 39 for DBCxSB and she’s doing really well. Plenty of bud sites and a nice symmetrical shape, I just gave her some big bud powder so we’ll see how she responds!
Anyone have any experience with bug bud powder? Label says 10 grams/20 Liters so I added 0.5 grams to my liter feed bottle. Can I push this up to 1-2 grams/L?
@Homegrown personally I wouldn't risk doubling the reccomended dosage and potentially burning and/or stressing your plant
Just give it feeds more often rather than increasing the doseage .
I moved them closer to the light. Forum stomper was a runt even for being in a 1 gallon pot. I’m starting to think I might’ve mixed up the seeds between these two based on my previous grow. Either way, the one I have labeled DBCxSB has impressed me with her structure. hoping to harvest her in the next 2-3 weeks.
So far so good, eager to have the auto flowers finish up so I can focus on the photo period. Both auto flowers are being fed full strength with big bud powder added as well.
Trained the photoperiod with plenty of lst hoping to start flowering her in 2 weeks max
Has anyone ever switched to 12/12 in late flowering? Just wondering how much that would affect an autoflower at that point as I might need to start flowering my photoperiod soon.
Hi @Homegrown93 , I've done this process several times to finish automatic at 12h / 12h. the buds as they are already well developed I think you will not be harmed in production. If it was all the flowering on 12/12 then the buds would not develop so much. I did it a few times and never harmed me at all. good luck mate 👍
Day 61 for Forum stomper and day 52 for DBCxSB. I’ll start flushing Forum Stomper in the following days and hopefully harvest sometime next week. I’ll start flowering the photoperiod Immediately and just have DBCxSB finish flowering in 12/12, she’s A bit sensitive to the nutes . The photoperiod seems to be showing some sex too! I found pistils in various spots.
It went well and conditions were pretty great all grow. Using 1 gallon pots made everything easier however I didn’t meet my goal or 1 Oz/plant. Pretty close though. Maybe I’ll try 2 gallon pots next time. I didn’t have any major deficiencies or other negative factors during the grow
