1st grow with diy rdwc

So far this week I am starting to germinate 4 seeds. 2 are blue dream matic and the other 2 are pineapple Express auto from Fast Bud genetics. I also did a leak test on my diy undercurrent rdwc set up. I should have seedlings by the end of the week. Update 1. Both blue dream have 1/2inch tap roots and 1 pineapple Express has a 1/4 inch tap root. The other one has just opened up. Hopefully that doesnt mean they are going to be slow growers. Update 2. Sorry I dont have any more pictures this week. I dropped my phone and now my camera doesn't work. The 2 blue dream matic are about an inch tall and in rock wool. The 2 pineapple Express auto have not sprouted yet. The tap roots are slowly getting longer. I think it may be the temp of the seed starter. I purchased a seedling mat and have them on it. So hopefully I will have 2 more sprouts. I also have been fighting with fixing the leaks in the buckets. So I bought some flex seal spray and it worked!

Well the 2 pineapple express seeds did not germinate. Fortunately I have 1 blue dream matic and 1 pineapple Express seed left. I soaked them in water last night and the blue dream matic popped with a .5 inch tap root. So it got moved to a rock wool cube today. The pineapple Express auto has not popped yet but I went ahead and planted her in the rock wool cube. The 2 blue dream matic girls are still in rock wool probably till tomorrow. Hopefully I will have 2 more seedlings in the next few days. Not sure why the pineapple Express didn't germ. My guess would be bad seeds. I was looking forward to growing them out. I will have pictures in a few days as soon as I replace my phone. UPDATE all of the pineapple Express auto did not sprout I removed the strain from this diary. So now this diary is going to be just 3 bluedream matic Not sure what happened to the pineapple Express auto but I'm guessing just 3 bad seeds. What are your thoughts?

Sorry for the long update. I realized I was a week ahead. I got the girls in the net pots. I finally invested in a Bluelab guardian monitor! So excited about that. I also purchased a RO Buddie. It works great and it was only $60! The girls are growing pretty slow. The roots are growing good but the veg side is going slow. Hopefully they are going to shoot up now that they are in a 1/4 strength solution now. Take a look at the pics and let me know if I am missing something.

Well so far so good. I found out the mistake I was doing. The reason the first 2 of the blue dream matic had a low growth is no nutrients. I was treating the seedlings like they were in the seed starting peat pellets which have some food for seedlings. I'm a little worried about the smallest plant but hopefully it will catch up this week I did notice a big difference in plant growth once I started giving them food. I think the reason the youngest is so much bigger is because once the seed popped it was given 1/4 strength solution from day one.

Sorry about the long update. Well so far so good. As you can see the ladies are loving life right now. I did top both of the plants and started tying branches down. The third one did not make the cut it is still as small as a seedling so I pulled it out of the tent. It still is getting very little root growth but it's still alive. I may just put it in some potting soil and see what happens

so far the girls are doing good. Had some explosive growth out of the 2 girls. They are loving life. I did bump my nutrient solution up to about 1/2 what the bottles say. I did notice that they are eating and drink a lot more now. I'm a little surprised they haven't started flowing yet. Is that normal? I was expecting to be into the flowering stage by now. I know the bigger one is showing six. And I noticed that I have 2 phenotypes. The bigger one looks to be sativa dominant and the smaller one looks be indica dominant.

Well I switched my bulb over to my 1000w hps bulb dimmed down to 600w this week. One of the ladies started flowering after 8 long weeks of veg. I am quite excited about how many tops I have and how big she is. The smaller of the 2 hasn't showed any signs of flowering yet. If it stays in veg longer I will be fine with that. That just means I can spread the harvest out some. I can't believe the buds are forming so quick. Hopefully they will be very dense.

Sorry about the long update. So far the girls are doing great! She is stacking on the colas. The other bluedream matic started flowering this week. I don't think I will get a large yield on her due to the big one taking up the entire tent. I might be running into an issue with light bleaching since my light is maxed out on how high I can put it. I have tied down branches and super cropped several to keep the plant shorter. I'm thinking I need a bigger grow space on the next round of plants.

Still growing strong. The smaller plant is catching up so fast. Won't be long till they get the chop. The buds are very dense and have a bunch of nice colas.

These ladies are putting on the weight. I'm getting excited about the size of the buds. My last grow had smaller fluffier buds due to using a led light not intense enough. I'm glad I went with HID this time. The trichs are starting to turn milky. Looks like I have about a week left.

The ladies are getting the chop in a couple of days. I started flushing Sunday since I'm growing in hydro I should only need to fush for a couple of days. I think tomorrow or Thursday I will cut them down. I plan on doing a wet trim this time and separate the 2 plants during the drying and curing process.
