09/02
Second week just started for all the plants. First week skipped as I still did not know about this website. Last week, other than caring for the sprouts (3 blue king, peyote critical, blueberry cookies), I did topping of the main of the Delahaze, which comes from a previous grow cycle.
Not mentioned among the nutrients it's the SuperVit by Hesi (1 drop every 4.5 lt).
13/02
New solution in the reservoir with more Hesi Growth in the solution (from 2.5ml per liter to 5ml per liter). Training of Delahaze paying off with a nice T-shape coming out of the main.
In general we are happy with a solution which is: PH: 5.8-6.2 and μS: 1000-1200.
15 feb. Plants grew steadily during the whole week 2. They now look healthy and strong. Ready for topping.
16 feb. I did it. Check the pictures, I topped and cut almost all plant. It felt dramatic. I did this crazy topping because I'd like my girls to grow horizontal rather than vertical. I hope mother nature will forgive me for what I did. Now I will give them time to recover and few more weeks of veg.
ps. growing weed is awesome!
22.02.20 pH was 5,7-6,2. I did some cutting of leaves, I pulled up twigs to "horizontaj position" with LST. I changed the water in the system.
Not very easy to pull/push Blueberry Cookies and Three Kings, because they have more powerful and fat twigs.
Peyote Critical - easy to pull/push, because at the moment of topping it was the slimmest twigs.
Delahase Paradise (mf) tires to take all space, but I dont let him do this.
23.02.20 (exactly 4 weeks, but i didnt put all information here)
25.02.20 (today) pH was 7, I added acid (pure water with low pH, about 3 liters). I cut leaves, I pulled up twigs even better to "horizontaj position", so the result is on the pictures (from today).
Some notes:
Peyote Critical - very flexible and progresses well from last week, but it is steel the weakest plant. 12cm from added befor HydroPonic "ground".
Delahase Paradise (as i already said - mf) tries to take all space, but i protect others from him. 24 cm-//-
Blueberry Cookies very nice and powerful tree, not easy to pull up. 18 cm -//-
Three Kings medium guy, not easy to pull up. 16 cm -//-
Last week of vegetative phase. Solution addition during the week with target indicators in the reservoir PH of +/- 6 and mS 1400-1600. On march 4, we did a lot of leaves cutting and did a lot of LST to make them grow horizontally. Delahaze, who has done 1 month more of vegetative stage, is taking a lot of space but she is very flexible and well horizontally-spread.
ON SUNDAY MARCH 8, WE SWITCHED TO FLOWERING PHASE. 12-12 light-darkness and Hesi Hydro solution for Bloom phase (during the first week they also suggest to put root complex, which I skip). Before changing solution, we run a few hours of clean tap water in the system, to clean and refresh both reservoir and roots.
On March 11, we performed a session of extreme defoliation while also moving around and also cutting few low-potential lower branches (LST and HST). It felt like a little too much of a intervention but we will see. On March 8, I accidentally broke in two the main of Blue Berry Cookies. The plant is doing fine, and had beautiful healthy blueish leaves before the defoliation exercise of march 11.
During the first week of bloom, we are happy with a solution with PH6 and mS=1500-1600.
18 march 2020.
Week 2 of bloom phase. Plants look good and it seems like they just started to stretch. They drink a lot, with PH level going down in the reservoir quite fast: we add ca. 7 litres of solution every 48-72 hours, targeting a solution of PH 6 and mS 1700-1800 in the reservoir for this week. We did a little of Defoliation and LST to keep everything at the same height. As always and not included in the above solution 's description, we put a drop of Hesi SuperVit in every 4,5 litres of solution. During the week, plants grew from ca. 37 cm to ca. 45 cm of height. We play a lot of classic music in the room. It's good both for plants and for us.
TODAY, 25 MARCH, WE ADD BOOST TO THE SOLUTION, 4 DAYS EARLIER THAN RECOMMENDED ON THE PRODUCER'S SCHEDULE.
WE SEE HEALTHY FLOWERS EVERYWHERE IN THE BOX AND THE PLANTS HAVE SPACE TO STRETCH VERTICALLY WITHOUT COMPROMISING DISTANCE FROM LAMP. THE WATER IS RUNNING FOR 15 MIN EVERY 15 MIN DURING LIGHT TIME, THAN IT'S 15 MIN EVERY 1 OR 2 HOUR DURING DARKNESS. PH LEVEL IN THE RESERVOIR GOES DOWN QUITE FAST; WE ADJUSTED OUR SOLUTION TWICE OVER THE LAST 48 HOURS TO MAINTAIN AN AVERAGE OF PH 6 AND Ms 1900. THE SMELL IS GETTING STRONGER AND PUNGENT. WE WILL UPDATE MORE PICTURES AT THE END OF THIS WEEK.
March 29 update. Today it's the End of week 3 of bloom phase. Before taking this picture, we did a little of defoliating here and there. Plants look strong and flowers are healthy. Plants are stretching well. The general Height goes from 55cm to 65cm today. It increases fast, going - on average - from 52 cm on march 25 to 55cm on march 27 and to 60cm on March 29. That's an average increase of 5cm in the last 48 hours. Being all colas-flower growth, it's very welcome!!
Update April 1, 2020. Plants growing/stretching up, with highest colas as high as 75cm. Lower colas start at 50cm but most of them are at 65cm. We were a bit concerned at the end of last week as we observed a fast stretch of 2-4 cm per day. Such concern is now fading as it looks like the growth is now more on the lower colas catching up with the early-stretchers. We expect the stretch to keep going this week (4 of bloom phase) and next week (5)
This week we start adding the PK 13-14 to the solution, as prescribed by the producer HESI, targeting a solution in the reservoir of PH6 and mS 2000-2200.
As per the flowers, they're all beautiful; Barney's and Dinafem's look more sugary than the other two. we will update this info and photo list later on this week. Stay safe and grow weed.
April 5. End of week 4 of flowering phase. Plants stopped stretching and all flowers are well exposed to light, with height in the range of 60-80cm and lamp minimum distance of 35cm. This week we got rid of few low branches that we didn't identify earlier as energy suckers. The smell in the box is getting stronger and it sticks on you for very long when you touch the flowers. We watch flowers getting fat now, not much to do except caring for the optimal solution. Which for week 4 has been PH 6 and mS 2200.
April 12, Easter 2020. End of week 5. This week was quite stable, with not much to do. Colas are getting fattier and heavy and we put some support to help holding them up straight. We also cut very few fan leaves to increase airflow among the plants. We kept the solution with a PH of 6 and mS of 2400 this week, increasing the PK as prescribed by the producer HESI. All flowers look amazing, sugary with a lots of crystals and a strong smell.
Week 6 of blooming finished - Peyote Critical almost ready to be harvested, very frosty flowers but next time I would let her stay longer in veg to have her stronger and more producing. We lowered the EC in the solution, as 3 blue kings' leaves were showing signs of stress. Now were keep an EC of mS 2,000 and a PH of 5,7-6,3.
The flower support we put in place last week work well and all flowers are getting fatter, especially the three blue kings which looks like the most productive plant in our tent.
April 26, 2020. Week 7 of bloom phase completed. During the week we did defoliating to increase airflow among the flowers. Also we had to prematurely chop down a few Peyote Critical colas as the top bus were showing rot problems. This is probably due to the fact that PC was the lowest plant in our tent and temperature might have been too low for them.
In this week pictures I also show the 3 blue King leaves that were taken off. They show sign of heat and EC stress, I guess. Nevertheless 3BK flowers are healthy and increasing in size.
Blueberry cookies and Peyote Critical will be chopped at the end of next week, after the flushing. Three Blue Kings and Delahaze will probably go on for another week or so as they have a longer flowering period. In week 7, we kept PH ranging between 5.7 and 6.3 and EC under mS 2000, following HESI hydro schedule.
Strong smell this week.
May 3. End of week 8 of bloom phase: flushing with ph-ed tap water and flawless finish by advanced. This week we chopped down what was left of the Peyote Critical.
10 may, end of week 9 of bloom phase. In the box, we still have Delahaze (many beautiful colas) and 3 Blue kings. Waiting for the perfect moment to harvest them. Plants are being flushed with ph-ed (PH 5.8-6.2) tap water. Leaves showing sign of nutrients deficiency.
This week, on May 5, we harvested the Dinafem Blueberry Cookies. Happy with this grow but she would have preferred 1 week/10 days of veg more. After drying in the dark for 6 days, we trimmed and put her in the jars. She delivered 60 grams of cookies. Good enough! The odor is amazing.
cheers
The plant grew smaller compared to her peers in the tent and delivered very small flowers. Moreover, as she remained small and thus out of the sweet spot in the tent, she delivered some rot bud. I chopped them down and did a lot of speed-drying to smoke them out asap. I can't provide exact numbers for this run. Disappointed. ps. it was a free-gift seed. I upload a dummy photo to get over this.
Harvested at day 57, dried 5 days, cured 2 months. She delivered little thumb-sized cookies with excellent smell. I loved this smoke. Thank you Dinafem for another amazing product. Just awesome! The plant would have enjoyed a longer veg period to grow stronger basis for the flowering season.
I am very happy about this grow. The plant stayed long in veg (plus 1 or 2 months of what noted on the diary) and thus enjoyed a great flowering season. Colas everywhere. We dried her one day too long and that brought the weight down a lot, during hot dry summer days here.

@romamor, may I offer a suggestion to make your pictures better?
Try taking a few at lights out with a flash on 👍
That will stop the yellow strobing your getting from the high intensity lighting 👊
Plants are stacking that weight on really well 👌
Stay safe my friend 🙏

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, Thank you for checking on me and commenting. My photos are not favorable to the Blue Kings, because in reality they look much better. I am so thankful for having 3 Blue Kings in my tent. They are the best flowers in this box! Very happy about this HSO seed!
Hy Romamor!
i see you grow with Hesi nurtition as well. I am growing my first DWC right now and using hesi Hydro grow at the moment but iam having quit some problems keeping the PH stable. I was wondering if you ever had the same issues ?
Thanks !
@CRimp,
Hello and thanks for your question. It's normal to have PH going down, I adjust the solution in the reservoir every 2 or 3 or 4 days and try to maintain an optimal average level. I am a beginner, so you may wanna ask more expert growers about it.
best,
Fantastic, another Blueberry Cookies grow up and running on the grow diary platform 🤗
