A great autoflowering strain from RQS, growth and genetics were on point here. I'm gonna finish this reviews as soon as the product is dried and cured.
The Nutrients from RQS work really well, I like the Easy Boost Organic Nutrients that you mix in the soil because it makes life easy, I could have done with some more booster for the flowering stage but for the growth period everything was fine the way it was.
So here we are, the end of another exciting diary. We went from cracked main stem, which I thought was the end of the grow, to a beautiful balanced and healthy autoflower.
Overall there were no problems during the grow, the nutrients worked as they should, the support the plant got from the organic nutrients was just perfect, the only thing I would have liked would be a few more booster tabs, other than that the nutrients supplied by RQS worked well.
The Royal Gorilla Auto is quick, she finished on time and came in at 682 grams wet weight which is good for an autoflower in a pot that size running soil.
Stem structure of this strain is very nice, all of the plants I have grown of this strain grew nice and sturdy, easily holding the weight of the flowers.
I will update this diary with a proper smoke report and dry weight numbers when the plant is cured π
@Crazyweedpt, thanks a lot mate ! excited to see the results, still considering running one in Hydro π would love to see how by they can get ! Good luck with your Cookies πͺ
Gorilla Automatic is on my to buy list for sure! But dang, do I want one of those RQS fabric pots.
I've got two questions for you regarding your growth(s):
- How do you like the fabric pots of RQS: Would you buy them again, and do you like the 11L or do you regret not having bought the 15L type (for indoor grows)?
- Regarding the companion plants, any rationale behind those?
@TheBelgian, they sent those pots to me with the whole grow pack, I didn't chose the pot but I like it, the quality is much better than other brands, sure higher quality.
The companions just went in because I had some seeds left over for fun, they not gonna grow much in that short time, maybe help with the soil a bit but I have them outside in the garden next to some CBD photo plants, there I have the full set from RQS, we get a lot of pests here so I need the full defense in the organic garden. Also some of them enrich the soil and support the growth overall.
Hi good luck man.
And she's a great performer.
The Gorilla From RQS.
Finished one 1 month ago.
And fell in love have a few more in now.
Good luck with your grow.
Happy Growing
Hello big congratulations for the contest, for the photos and for super beautiful plants, can I know what that herb you let grow in the pot? Does it keep flies and problems away?
@frenchysmoker, no I didn't do any topping. If you go back to the veg stage you can see I had a cracked main stem because my tool fell right on the plant, the half cracked stem grew slower then the rest, so it gave it a bit of balance at least for a week then the main stem was back to full production πͺ
Geez you've got some impressive stuff going on. I'm getting quite envious of all the techniques and resources you have on display in your diaries - greenhouse, indoor (dwc/dirt) organic. This project in particular is super interesting to me. Thanks for sharing π
@stunflower, thanks a lot, appreciate the feedback, helps me to know what to change π I like doing many different things at the same time, saying that I just started a DR. Grinspoon today :P and 2 more photo periods so 3 new photo diaries coming soon π
Thanks for sharing this @Pot_Portraits! Very informative, love the companion crow as well as the comparing to the other 3 grows! Super cool! It looks like the RQS feed worked really well, just from the pictures that plant looks beefier and much fuller. That plant looks like the other three's personal trainer. I dont know if it was the RQS booster, the companion planting of the breaking of the stem but I'm gonna try all three for my next grow!
