Day 5 Update.
Pics Updated. Still struggling with RH to maintain 60% or more ideally. Temps stabilized at 78-82. CO2 bag is up not sure how well this product will work as I don't have a CO2 meter. But hey $45CAD may aswell try it out.
5 plants in the tent now. I have a second tent so will have to get that up and going before this 3x3 gets over crowded.
That's all for now. Will do one more update at the end of week 1. Any Tips or Advice are more then welcome. Thanks all and have a good day!
Day 9 Update - Not much change going on. Still struggling to maintain 50-60% RH as the colder temps arrive.
Really hoping the girls bulk up in the next 7 days so I can try some LST/Topping.
Also thinking of building a SCROG net.
More to come in week 2. Happy Growing all ✌️
Day 14 Update.
NL2 is looking well, she does have some slight leaf curling. Not sure if this is from my light @ 28inches now or if it could be wind related. I'm only running a 6inch clip Fan 4-6 inches above the plants. Could also be heat but the tent stays at 70-75 lights off and 80-85 lights on. Roots have already hit the bottom of the fabric pot.
NL3 is doing well for being late to the pot. Also seeing the same slight leaf curling. First couple roots have showed at the bottom of the pot.
BK1 - looking decent. The BK's are quite tall compared to the NLs. But less bushy. Hope these fill out soon!
BK2 - the tallest girl , this plant looks the most healthy so far. No leaf curl at all. Good leaf posture. Around 6inchs tall.
BK3 - The last to enter the pot. She had a good fight with the seed casing for 3-4 days. Deformed leaves are are still mangled but the new leafs look good hoping she catches up to her big sisters in week 3 and 4.
Upped Nutes a little. Going to feed at 500-750ppm during week 3 and adjust for week 4 as needed. Still unsure how they will respond to more Nutes at this stage.
If all goes well I will begin some LST or Topping during day 15-20 on the plants that have grown enough for it.
Happy Growing Guys and Gals ✌️
Week 3 Update. Day 25-28 for this girls.
NL2 - Still the front runner. Topped Dec 15th on Day 20 in pot. Very bushy. 12 inches tall. 11 inches width. Has a lot of good growth and is showing her first few pistils.
NL3 - Small Sister to NL2. Topped Dec 20th. Slight LST being done to help new shoots grow outwards and create an even canopy. Only 8iches tall and 8inch wide. Very healthy looking.
BK3 - this was he deformed one. She is short at 7inches and 8 inches wide but has new leaves that are healthy and nice looking. Topped her on Dec 20th aswell. No signs of pistils so hoping she grows taller and wider in the next week before she begins to flower.
BK2 - Tallest gal. 16 inches. Topped Dec 20th. Has the most pistils. Just need some good stretch and some LST to bulk up the new shoots growth under the broad fan leaves near the top. Slight smell from her.
BK1 - This one is bizarre. Has 2-3 big fan leaves that have really deformed and curled edges. Also it grew new new branches unevenly. Topped Dec 20th. Has decent potential for # of bud sites.
They are getting 3L every 24hrs shared between all 5 girls. Stepped up Nutes a bit for the last week of Veg. Around 750ppm.
Doing some Light LST this week to get more light down past the bigger fan leaves.
Happy Holidays to everyone. Will do another update after Xmas. Merry Christmas and Happy Growing friends.
Hope everyone had a great Xmas! Here in Ontario we have been under extreme cold weather. Temps outside have been -10 to -20c without windchill. This has made rH go very low inside my house. I think next winter it's time for a whole home humidifier.
I was to busy to post a Week 4 Veg Update. But here is week 5.
NL2 - Standing 21 inches currently. Showing a nice amount of bud sites and took to Topping and light LST well. This girl likes to drink atleast 1Litre per 24hrs of nute laced RO water. Really drinking it up fast. I think the dry air in my house also contributes to this. Can't wait for her to pack on some buds. Her stalk is quite thick and should be able to hold some good weight.
NL3 - This plant is so short and bushy. Around 12 inches tall but has many tops that are not really growing vertically. I did top this one but it has only grown maybe 3 inches more since. I don't see much signs of pistils yet. So hoping for 6-8 inches of stretch so she fills out.
BK1 - Around 18inch tall. Showing pistils. Not that many bud sites compared to the NLs. This plant has the most leaf problems. It has curling of a few fan leaves. And some deformed new leafs. But all in all it's worth seeing it to the end.
BK2 - Tallest plant @ 23inches. Beautiful leaves. The fans are huge and are as big as my entire hand. No sign of any nute burn. Leaf curl etc. Just great leaf posture and deep green. Showing pistils. Topped Dec 20. New tops have grown out 4 inches or so. Looks like 12 or so bud sites right now. Hoping to almost double that by late bloom. Smells a bit already.
BK3 - Standing 18inches. Almost perfectly healthy cosmetically. This was the girl that had to struggle through the seed casing. Now she has outgrown the deformed leaves. Is flowering and showing pistils. Nice even canopy. Not too many bud sites but still happy with this one.
I've begun too add some molasses to the feeding. Need to get a RO unit too. Been using almost 50L per week.
Happy New Year's fellow growers. Catch you guys in another week ✌️
Week 2 of Flowering. Seeing some good stretch now. Bud sites are starting to fill in with white pistils. Need to raise the light to the max. Accidentally broke NL 2 wise trying to grab the humidifier tank. Lost one main branch/cola that got completely cut off the main stem. Also split the main stalk right down the centre. About 3inches deep.
I since used zip ties to splint and it closed the wound in 3 days which was great. Also the plant didn't even get droopy. Only the one branch that was cut off was lost. Since the tent is packed i didn't care that much.
Thinking of installing a trellis net and weaving these tops in to make a even canopy wise I have 5-6 weeks of flowering left.
Using molasses also. Smell is def noticeable. Glad I'm seeing some trichomes on BK2. NL2 needs to hurry up and start showing that bling bling.
More next week. Happy Growing everyone 😊
Week 3 of Flowering has begun. I have been plucking more fans leaves each day to lollipop the lower growth. Big Bud and B52 have 2 weeks to do their thing. Bud sites are noticeably swelling on on all plants. NL3 is behind and seems to be staying a short bush. Hoping it will end up with 20-30 golf ball sized nugs when all is done.
Bk 2 has the biggest nugs. Really nice plant so far. The buds are now sticky and smelling more and more each day.
Decided to just let the tent grow out. Next time I will grow only one strain in this tent with a net. Just to help share the light better to lower limbs.
Hope you guys like the pictures. Things in the tent are getting there ✌️😊🙏✌️
Week 3 of flowering is coming to an end. The Bubba Kush is smelling sooo good. The Northerns are slowly filling in and look like they will take 2-3 weeks longer to finish. They have a faint smell. Actually very nice when you touch the flowers. The Bubba is just crazy sticky, crazy good smelling. Like chemical/fuel mixed with a tinge of pine and fruit. The flowers are already dense on the colas. Very happy with the current progression.
I added a 125w Perfect Sun Mini into the tent. So I'm running 350W of LED to help get the PAR penetrating 3ft down in the canopy.
NL3 aka the Bush is flowering well and just starting to show trichomes. Might be the last plant to finish of these 5.
BK 1 and 3 are basically twins. They are both a week behind BK2. Still have the great smell and stickyness/resin as BK2
Temps are from 78 light on to 67 off. Trying to keep humidity at 45-55%. And I want to dail it down 5% each week from here on out until it's at 40%. Then I'll try to hold it there and renadjust the fans to drop temps a few degrees during the last 2 weeks.
That's all for now. Happy Growing Everyone.
Well it's week 4 of flower and the autos are doing okay.
I added Bud Candy and Nirvana to the feedings.
Main thing I am focused on changing is the distance that's my lights are to the 4-5 main tops of NL2. Right now I got them 16-18 inches away. The rest of the tops are right around 22-24 inches away which I like. I see some slight foxtailing in NL2. And BK2.
Hopefully I can stop this and have the buds grow out and take over in girth and density.
All plants look pretty well healthy. The Bubbas at the back are so frosty but the buds are swelling a fair bit slower the the BK2 plant at the front left of the tent.
NL3 is just trying to get trichomes out. The buds are forming up and they feel pretty solid already. This one smells more pine and citrus then the NL2 big plant.
NL2 is more like cheese / cream. She's got some nice trichs now. Still the buds aren't very hard yet but she's got a few more weeks to pack it on and harden up.
More next week. Peace Love and Good Vibes everyone! ✌️
Hi everyone hope all is well. This is the week 10 update and marks week 6 of flower. I stopped all Nutrients except Bud Candy. Will run the candy one more week. Also began using Overdrive which I really like.
Feeding only lightly @ 400 PPM as flush will be coming soon.
It's Day 70 for BK2 from Germination. She is very close to being ready but some of the mid to lower buds are not that dense. The tops and higher buds are quite dense and I really like how they are looking and feeling. For this reason I will wait another week and see what the ODrive can do.
BK1&3 are finally showing some noticeable bud swelling. Will need to keep that up for the next week or two if I am to get a nice yield. I'm only expecting 20-30grams from each of these girls. Although 30-40grams could happen with some good late swelling.
NL2 is rocking it at Day 70 aswell. She has responded well to ODrive and continues to fatten up buds all over her canopy. She looks like she could yield big. Maybe 2-3oz. Not bad at all considering I broke a whole branch off. Smell is also really pleasing. Buds are a bit dense. If they can get 50% denser that would be wicked.
NL3 is at Day 67. Going to run ODrive for 2 weeks on her. She's finally packing on some girth in her flowers. The least frosty girl but she may output a bunch in these last two weeks. She has around 18-20 nice bud sites. Hoping each will get to be around a ping pong ball size trimmed. Or bigger. Maybe 30-40grams.
I didn't get any trichome shots this week as my loupe is hard to use with my phone. Will have to get my other loupe that has a clip on piece so it's not so difficult.
Next week I will attempt to lower temps by 5 degrees and even drop humidity to 35%. I wanna see if any colours can come out and see how they respond to the temp and RH drop.
Have a nice Super Bowl Sunday GD Fam. Catch you next weekend! 👍🏻✌️👊🏻
This is the last week for these ladies. BK2 and NL3 are flushing for 5 days now. I plan on putting them in darkness for 24-48hrs. Then cutting them at the main stem and hanging them up to air dry for 3-5 days. I will then trim and jar them up with 62% Humidity packs. Burp the jars for two weeks twice a day.
BK1/3 and NL2 will finish Overdrive at the end of this week. Then begin flushing with Flawless Finish for another week. Hopefully this will allow the buds to ripen up a bit more.
These girls are at roughly Day 79-82 currently and I'm happy with the speed in which they finished. Even at Day 90 when I plan to chop the last of them that's not too bad. I definitely could have taken them earlier but I think the harvest will be a good yield and the trichomes are going to be just right on 80% or more of the flowers.
I added a bunch of bud pictures this week. Next week should include some harvesting pics.
Happy Growing everyone. Peace Love and Good Vibes 🙏
I am happy with HSO's Bubba Kush Auto.
4 of 5 seeds produced good taproots. One just didn't open up so I did not bother potting it.
This auto in 3gal fabric pots seems to grow to about 30 inches. I had 2 different phenotypes. One produced larger buds.
This strain is very forgiving. It can go without water for 2-3 days while other plants aren't wilting for a drink. The BK is at home in dry conditions.
I would recommend this strain for indoor grows. Perfect for 6.5ft tall tents.
I would like to thank HSO for a quality product and will be trying out more strains in the near future. Was a perfect fit for my first indoor grow. First auto aswell. Grows fast. Takes topping well, very forgiving to dry conditions. Sticky and resinous buds. Should make some nice hash.
It seems like you can harvest at day 65-70 if using hydro. So I would say it is fast to finish. Produces a Nice amount of trichomes. The smell is potent but not bad From outside the Grow room. It can yeild well over 100 grams per plant dry. Which is good for a 30inch auto in a 3gal pot with limited light. Nugs are 8/10 Dense. Will grow again. Thanks Team HSO!
Will update the dry weights more next week, just cut down the rest of the Bubba Kush two Days ago. Happy growing gang ✌️🙏👊
Had two different phenotypes. One was more fruity and piney. The other was more like honey musk or cheese. Both were great smells though. This isn’t the most trichome Karen strain but I enjoyed the high. Sativa Dominant.
Overall this was a great first indoor grow. I harvested around 5-6oz off the big NL. After losing an entire branch plus splitting the Main steam where it was topped. The small bushy NL gave over 3oz.
The 3 Bubba Kush brang in another 8-9oz. So just over a lb from 5 plants.
I messed up the drying & curing a little. But I will improve next round.
Thanks for the support and following my first indoor grow guys. I had a blast raising these ladies.
Thanks CKS and HSO for the seeds they did not disappoint.
@biggreens420, thanks bro I will post pics in harvest with a large Bic lighter or something common so everyone can see the size of the colas. Plus try and capture everything else :)
@JusGrowIt88,wow man nice change in here since last time i looked buds are looking nice and chunky u put some nice work in here looking forward to seeing the harvest💪
@@frags lol I hear you bro. I almost picked off a few lower buds to quick dry and smoke when I was dry.
Luckily it's very easy for me to score some good smoke from friends so I just went that route. Although it's not cheap so I am hoping after this harvest I won't be buying ganja like that anymore. $80 for an 1/8th every week gets a bit crazy.
Good luck with the Fastbud seeds brotha. I'm sure they will turn out great. Your BDT was great and yeah would have gotten even more swollen. That main cola was beastly.
Keep it up I'll be on the lookout for your next diarie!
@JusGrowIt88, yeah here we cant really find original something, dealers are spraying chemicals and its really worst! my main purpose was also never buy weed from outside anymore. But unfortunatelly all is finished before second grow 😑 Yeah BDT was good. Kush genetics always my favorite, spicy tones on taste geting my mind! Thanks for you kind words and wishes bro.
Happy Grows
@@@frags Howdy and thank you for the support brother. I am sure there is many ways I can improve but that's part of the fun. And for my first indoor grow I can't be anything but grateful and proud.
BK2 is just a freak. It's like BK1 and 3 are the runts. All 3 were planted within 2-3 days of each other. Topping happened around the same aswell.
Must be the strong genes. These were started in Promix Nov 28-30. So it's right around Day 60 now. I agree they look very close to done but I'm debating letting them go longer.
I was planning on using Overdrive nutrient for 2 weeks and then Flawless Finish for 1 week. But that's 3 more weeks 😐. Not sure if that is a better move or to harvest earlier.
I don't want that many amber trichomes and so far there is very little. Maybe 1-5%.
Also the lower buds and some mid buds aren't nearly as dense as the top colas and second top buds. So was hoping the next 2-3 weeks would help.
Will have to decide this week and just hope it was the best move for her.
Thanks again either way it most definitely will be a happy harvest 😁
Peace Love and Good Vibes !!!
Thx SM, I think so too. NL2 is the tallest gal @ 38-40inches. NL3 is a little bush at around 23 inches.
Got two different phenotypes. NL3 has smaller colas but tighter internodal spacing. More indica characteristics. Very dense buds and not much leaf. NL2 has big light colas that are a bit squishy. Also has a fair bit of leaf in the top colas. I think due to the light intensity at only 16-18 inches from the LEDs.
I will most definitely post my thoughts about Bud Candy vs Terpinator. Also wish I could get my hands on some Mammoth P in Canada. Haven't seen any yet in local shops.
Thanks again for the kind words and Happy Growing!
Thanks, I decided to begin using Overdrive @ 1ml per L with straight RO @ 6.2PH. Promix is mostly peat moss so that should bring the PH to around 5.8-6 where I want it in the medium.
Plan is to run this for 2 full weeks. Then flush with Flawless Finish for a full week.
BK2 may only get 1 week of Overdrive and 1 week of FF.
The other 4 plants will likely get the full 3 week plan if not an extra week of flush then 2 days of darkness and dry pot time.
The NLs will need the time to fatten up and layer on the frost.
BK1&3 just need to swell and harden up the bud sites. They are so much smaller and less dense then BK2. But they have shitloads of resin and trichomes on what is there.
Wow bro and in 3l pots that is unreal man. I will definitely be following any future diaries and returning to see your final results. Very impressive 👏👌
@Perth, thanks brotha. At first I was thinking of going with 5/7 Gal pots that I have but now that the girls are almost done I am quite happy with the results I got with 3gals. Will run them again.
You doin great bro, ofc if you can wait few more weeks the results will be better. i were have no upcoming harvest and all my weed was finished. And i couldnt wait longer and decided to cut. if u ask am i do correct? Ofc not. My last diary BDT if u may check u will see fat buds but growth didnt stop. She were still need few more weeks. Anyway tomorrow i will have my package which includes many fastbuds seeds in it .) Happygrows
You definitely have some phenotype variance with the bubba kush auto :) 1and3 sound very similar. With more airy buds and a higher than average trichome production whereas #2 sounds more dense with slightly less trichome coverage.
This is natural when growing from seed you will get some phenotype differences :) and it is a good thing.
It will give you variety and will let you know what works best for you and your consumption style :)
Going of the pictures I would say they have roughly 3 more weeks to go but with the pheno variance you may find that some are done a little bit before others :)
Will check back in on the next update to see how the girls are finishing :)
Kind regards
Team-HSO..
