Mystery Berries (Virgin Grow)

DOUGH_BOY First grow. Slow start, and lost a couple of sprouts to slugs. My two survivors and some basel!

DOUGH_BOY Potted up to 10lt. Nipped the tips at node 4. Rigged up a lamp for the new tent.

DOUGH_BOY Added fan. Had to add heater as the tent was too cold overnight. They seem to be bouncing back after their first topping. Will start to train the leading branches next week. 4 days later. Growth is strong. They are plumping out, had to tighten my wires.

DOUGH_BOY Last of the verging. Plucked a few tips. Added a carbon filter. End of the week. Flipped to 12/12

DOUGH_BOY Was looking good, until I did some defoliation. Now they look a bit scraggy. I also missed with my razor and now have aittle cutting to nurture! I may need to add a couple more lamps to this rig as the spread doesn't quite cover the canopy. I'm also unsure how much defoliation is sensible. I decided to walk away and read up before hacking much more off. Photos ina few days... End of week - They've gone stringy taller and searching for the light. Signs of bud development already. Thinking of bending over some of the leading shoots

DOUGH_BOY Lowered the light rig to about 30cm. If I get a chance I pop a couple more cob leds in to increase intensity for next week. Don't get much time atm. No watering for 3 days. Girls were thirsty so I gave them double. I read somewhere that if they go thirsty they will pick up more of the feed when it arrives. Smell intensifying. Rhino Filter doing a good job.

DOUGH_BOY Smelling strong. I've put the filter on 24/7. Getting some crystals. Impressive to observe the changes week on week.

DOUGH_BOY Tacking shape now. I've done nothing but keep them hydrated every second day. Starting to pong. Not sure if i should defoliage or just let it run its course now.

DOUGH_BOY Never got around to amping up the lighting. These 2 plants are doing OK regardless. I let them go dry for about 3 days and then gave them a boost of nutrients. Not sure when to harvest. I may stop feeding after next week as I expect them to finish in 2-3 weekz

DOUGH_BOY Funny. It's been about 3 days since I last looked. And the leaves have turned purple on about 1/3. Large leaves and small one around and I the buds. Itooks well still so assuming some genetics of the mystery strain? Any comments welcome here as its my first grow. Took a sample of bud leaf and magnified it x 400. Possible slight browning at the ends. Not enough to call it. I'll look at the end of the week and make a call. Maybe time to flush? Update at the end of the week I've made a call to flush. Will ride out next week with no feed looking at a window to chop. Buds are swelling up beautifully. Branches are sagging! Been a joy so far on this first attempt.

DOUGH_BOY One week into flush. I figure I need to make the chop in the next couple of days. The central growth is turning purple. Outer areas still green. Getting quite puffy. I can now see why popcorn! Sunday is chop day!

DOUGH_BOY Not tried it yet. First week of drying and the smell changed. Grassy and less intense. Now that I've got it curing it's beginning to pong more.
