I started two seeds, one on January 29th and the other January 30th. I used paper towel method with a heating pad on low. Each seed popped over night, and by Sat, Feb 1st I transferred to soilless plug trays with half inch tap roots and put under a 24hr light. Tues Feb 4th I discovered I needed to get my autos into their final pot against my better judgement. Did so with less than half strength B1R, SD &R66 into a slightly dampened pot of soilless medium. Maintained humidity with mist bottle and domes. Lighting at approximately 2ft. This week involved a lot of monitoring and tweaking my set up. Heat was an issue, and well as humidity. I ordered a small electric heater and a humidifier with humidistat.

More fine tuning was done this week. A different heater introduced Thursday because the last one would only run 12 hours at a time. Beginning Wed, Feb 12; 4 oz of quarter strength Veg solution was applied to each. The numbers I entered are for HALF strength solution. So I only applied quarter strength once, which was Wednesday. I removed a heating pad and rotated pots. Thursday No water. Monitor only. Friday Gave each plant 4oz of HALF strength veg Saturday no water Sunday pH 6.8 water only - 8oz ea Monday pH 6.8 h2O 8oz ea. Began playing w LST Tuesday Removed LST. - no water I want to start LST as early as I can before they get too Woody, but I definitely feel I've jumped the gun so I'm going to hang tight until I see more height. Sneak peek for next week; today, Wednesday, is technically the beginning of week 4 so I'll record this next week as well.. but today I gave 4oz more each of half strength veg nutes and turned on flower lights as well so I am now running full spectrum. (1000w not 1200w) I am hoping that by being more reserved on fluid quantities next week will allow me to squeeze in more feed-water-water cycles instead of dry out days. Trying to fine tune their water consumption.

I'll be switching from referencing the calendar dates to days from seed now. Day 21- 4-6oz ea of HALF strength veg Started running full spectrum approximately 25,000 lux at canopy Day 22- determined that they're showing mild signs of nutrient deficiency because they're in a soilless medium and I've been only moldy feeding. I noticed light spots on the leaves and tip burn. Coupled with dark foliage and short growth, I decided to add calmag to their water today. 1/2 strength. 6oz ea. Day 23- 2 pH meters are reading at/above 7 but under 8. 4oz ea plain water Day 24- 8oz ea HALF strength veg and I introduced a natural co2 emitting bag of weird crap from Amazon. Day 25- light water Day 26- 8oz water each NOTICED FIRST FLOWER and began LST again. Removed one fan leaf each and a couple fingers Day 27- 16oz each FULL strength veg Day 28- no h20 I can tell air quality for me has decreased since adding the co2. I don't have a meter but I when I pull my head out and zip it closed, the air outside the tent is waaaaayyy easier to breathe. And I'm seeing good growth since I got it. I've been being really shy on fertilizer but decided to kick it up a notch to full strength as long as they react well. Maybe I'll go half or ¾ now and then.
