Gelato Auto - FastBuds / First Grow

Starting my First ever grow 😎 Growing 2 strains: Northern Lights Auto - (Seedsman) / Gelato Auto (FastBuds). For record keeping, We'll be mainly focusing on Gelato - 7 gal fabric pot - 130 Watt LED (for time being) - Canna Nutrients. 2 ml cal mag / Ltr water used to make the substrate wet for 24 hours before dropping the seed in. * 23 Nov 2019 - seedling hatched Giving plain tap water (0.2 EC), PH to 5.8 for the first week. Not much else to report...

Week # 2 Made a simple home made DIY source of CO2, I don't know if it will have any affect but since it costs nothing, I will replenish every week to keep the supply constant throughout its life cycle. Towards the end of this week I started first dosage of its nutrients. Looking healthy so far, Not much else to report.

Week # 3 She is doing well, feed her every 2 - 3 days before the substrate starts to get dry again. Feedings are at around 600 ppm. Minor struggles with the temperature, they drop down to 18 Celsius when lights go out , which is a bit low for my comfort but I have ordered a 2 Foot Tube heater, which should put the environment in ideal spot.

Week # 4 not a very good start. Was hoovering the place when the plant got sucked into the vacuum pump, my heart, almost came out of my arse... That was close 💀!! Other than that, all Looking vibrant & healthy increased nutrients slightly this week and she took off.... Topped the plant mid week. Humidity will be a problem soon, when lights go out, humidity spikes up to 90%. Dehumidifier ordered.

Week # 5 Topping did stunt the plant for a day or two but its recovered now, its growing fast. Increased nutes Doing bit of LST where possible. She is looking healthy everything is going smooth so far.

Total Week # 6 --- Flowering week # 1 A bit later than expected but she started flowering. Installed a SCROG net and a New Flowering Cob LED light. Humidity is still a problem, Gonna need a bigger dehumidifier to keep humidity in check in coming weeks.

Total Week # 7 --- Flowering Week # 2 I have not paid any attention to run off until this week, when I noticed a few marks (common rust mark) on 2 fan leaves, I also noticed few fan leave's edges kind of bent inwards. Sometimes, the medium has dried more than supposed to leaving the nutes in substrate causing this lockout or whatever. I decided to do a flush. Ran low dosage of nutes in triple the amount of water , flushed her until the EC and ppm were in lows (400 ppm). 30-ish hours later, back to normal increased feeding (900 ppm)... It worked well enough, and flowers started to swell up. I will add PK13 /14 by the end of this week or next week. Removed few fan leaves that were looking bad etc, nothing too stressful. Cob lights were doing good with light penetration so I decided not to Lollipop her and just make sure that light is getting everywhere.

Total Week # 8 --- Flowering Week # 3 She took well to that flush last week, I added pk 13/14 towards the end of last week and will continue giving this entire week. Flowers are swelling up and smell is increasing. She is drinking lots too, Feeding every 30 - 48 hours or so. SCROG net is slowly becoming irrelevant for her because Northern Lights is TAKIN OFF' taking the net with it.... ffs I will tie the branches or something if needed, but for now just going to wing it.

Total Week # 8 --- Flowering Week # 4 Packing weight as we see. Humidity is staying in 48 - 56% and temps are between 22 - 27 C. [email protected] - 6.0, 1100 - 1200 ppm nute strength. Smell is quiet strong. 😷 Since the last flush, I made sure there is 30 - 50% Run off on every feed. Don't really want to get any lockout issues towards the end. Any guesses on yield? 😏

Happy with the way she looks, I gradually decreased nute strength to around 700 - 800 ppm this week. Rotated her and tucked leaves here and there to make light more available. Humidity is bang on 50% and steady. temps are in range of 21 - 28 (Its quiet a bit of a jump however they don't seem to be minding it so we winging it too) Smell is Crazy, resembling :- Gasoline / Gas (?) + Earthy + Creamy which are very distinct but there's more which I'm too retarded to quiet match with anything ( 👽 ) but not complaining... at all 😁 The Northern Lights aka "No Fucks Given" , deserves a separate diary regardless of her outcome, so will get to it in a different journal when finished with this.

Total week # 11 - Flowering Week # 6 Buds are turning purple and smell incredible. Very sticky and frosty. Some buds towards lower end are not as dense and feel popcorn but I can blame the cheap lights used. If it tastes as good as it smells now, I will be happy with less tbh. Waiting game I guess.... will cut down A & B completely towards end of this week, trichomes look clear yet ...see yall soon

Total Week # 12 - Flowering week # 7 We are nearing the end. Flowers are ripening up very nicely and are getting dense. They are turning purple or violet indigo what the fuck ever lol They smell delicious I do not kid 😻!!! I am happy I didn't go with 3 plants in this tent (3ft x 3ft, I think...😵) as many suggested I should have else I would have had to hide them in my bedroom or something. I am feeding them lower on every feeding (dropped right to 600 ppm), will take that out as well towards the end and start watering only. by end of next week, I plan to reap what I sow. As evident, the Northern Lights aka No Fucks Given, is doing its own thing and I cannot ideally dry the Gelato in the same tent but I have figured something out, as time goes, will post pics of weights, drying, cure, trim the whole 9 yards. Once these 2 ladies are finished, I am going to work on a proper grow place with some proper good lights since this is just a test run after all and had a lot to learn and digest in terms of information and experience. I will definitely nail it next time (Famous last words...lol) Diary is of course open for everyone to comment what they think of it, feedback or Sarcasm is also very welcome 😊

Total Week # 13 - Flowering week # 8 Last week ..... 😻 she is being fed nothing but PH 6.0 water these last 4 days of the week ,and then COLD water on last flush. She looks ready as ever, some trichs are amber and most white. Again, the smell is Crazy as ever. Happy growing.

Here we Go Folks !! Dried in 5 - 6 days, cured for 2 days and going... Plant was resilient throughout its cycle, no fuss. Yield is not lots but understandable as I've used cheap lights ordered online for a "warm up - test run" 👻 and feel like it got crowded in the tent as well...[I am already working on this project, more to come later....] Smoke Report: A whole cluster fuck of flavor just roles down your throat and sweet & creamy after taste stands out. 😵 I would say a day time smoke 😎
