2/26 Gah. My first set of leaves bug me. I’m trying to figure out if it’s because my runoff ec was way too high (2200!) initially or if it’s because of some other issues going on. At least now my runoff is much better at 1000 now.
2/18 Tested tds today and realized that I may not have prepped/rinsed medium well enough. Seedling looks okay but I will try to fix this tomorrow. Started feeding as well; 0.1ml AN Sensi Coco A&B and 0.2ml AN B-52 & Voodoo Juice in 200ml of water. Didn’t get much runoff so gave her 50ml more of plain water.
2/16 Waiting for cotyledons to unfurl! Used the paper towel method for germination at 78* in my bread proofing box two days ago. Kinda worried about not buffering the medium (ProMix HP w/myco) with Ca & Mg after reading up this morning.
Woke up this morning and she’s grown a bit from yesterday. 4cm tall now. HLG 135 was dimmed (to a level that was comfortable to look at, I have no way of measuring output right now) and is 26” away. I know it’s early but I have no experience!
And We Have Life! Lol. Looks like you have a perfectly healthy seedling my friend and yes this normal, you light distance and intensity also seem correct. Just keep giving her love and she'll be a-ok. Also congrats on starting your first grow and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".
Thanks for the answers to my lighting question! I’ll be patient :P (not sure how/if it’s possible to reply to questions answered) @Gemini_Grow@mr_weeds_autos@mospeada (or if you guys get tagged lol)
@MissMyrcene, Here's Par to Lux conversion chart. The Lux app will only be as effective as the light sensor on your phone (not the cameras) however, pretty much all smart phones would have a light sensor.

A proper par meter is around $300+ US but a meter to measure your lights wattage is handy and cheap. The dimming device is accurate, just sucks that it's not marked clearly but the half way point when you twist the knob should be at 67.5 watts.
@Mospeada, thanks! I skipped over apps before because I wasn’t sure about par vs lux. I’ll give it a shot. So much to learn! Was contemplating getting a kill a watt to see what my light is doing at this mystery setting.
@MissMyrcene, No worries. Here's a link to that app I was talking about...Good luck!
