At the beginning of the second week of flowering, I trellised and defoliated all the plants except 1, and the 1 weak NL I left alone- it had started making a comeback. This was my first attempt at trellising and defoliating, and my second real grow, so really I have no business defoliating according to every article ever written about defoliation. Both techniques are so awesome, I will use them from now on. So in this third week of flowering I started using the only nutrient I'll use this grow, Flower Stacker. My first grow I tried using all of the nutrients in the General Organics GO Box, maybe half the amount of what was suggested, and I burned or overfed every time. This time I am trusting that Ed Rosenthal knows what he's talking about, and I heavily fertilized my soil before the plants were even in it. All of the ladies have made a hearty comeback. I had one of the Mountain Mint clones really show her true self as a sativa dominant hybrid. I called and asked the dispensary where I purchased her from what other strain may have gotten mixed up with the Mountain Mint clones. The owner indicated there were no other plants they were working with at the time I purchased the Mountain Mint clones. So who knows what the hell it is... It has a strong orange smell if you bump a flower.

Thoughts on providing enough nutrients in the soil for the plant to uptake as needed; rather than feeding while watering? According to Ed Rosenthal if you start with a rich enough medium, you don't have to feed. This is my current method, as I am still a noob. Gracias friends.

Hey , You can use rich soils out there or do a living soil of your own making. Usually the cheapest way is buying bulk ingredients from a farm supply store, feed and seed type place. The great thing with that is you can continually reuse your soil. However you'll need to reammend the soil after each grow. As for making through a whole grow without needing to add anything....you might if it's a relatively short grow. But for longer grows you'll probably need some form of top dressing. Mr. Bs greentrees is a pre designed mix of veg or bloom. Or kisorganics.com has some good recipes/tips/and products for sale(dry products that feed over time). Good luck.✌️

This is how I figure out my watering it only works if you can use a ppm meter. Example I mix my water solution to let’s say 1000 ppm’s I slowly add it to the plant until there is at least a cup of over run. I will take that water and test it again. Re measure the ppm’s most of the time it is about 180 ppm. That tells me my plant really only wants 800 ppm’s of nutrient solution. I adjust accordingly. This is just my method, I’m just saying
