The Cali Connection Corleone Kush feminized (Pre-98 Bubba Kush x SFV OG IBL) Indica/Sativa (heavy Indica) THC 18% Flower 9-10 weeks (breeder 65 days) Yield Medium Indoor - Custom built cabinet (3’ x 3’ x6.5’ ft. H); 4” filter/exhaust, HEPA filtered passive intake, no light leaks Plants 4 Soil seedlings - Potters Gold in Solo cups Soil grow - Roots Organics 707 amended perlite, worm casings, silica 3 gallon plastic pots (full) Light Sunsystem 315w CMH (1) - Phillips internal ballast; bulbs Phillips 4k (4200) veg, Phillips 3k (3100) flower Light cycle 24 seedling, 18/6 veg, 12/12 flower Temp 65F dark / 81F light RH 30-40% Water adjusted to PH 6.5 - well (tap) average PH 7.5, PPM 142, EC 302 @70F Nutrients - Superthrive, Biocanna Bio Vega and Flores, Budswel guano First grow harvested Feb 2020, Nirvana GSC feminized; dry yield ~6 oz across 4 compact plants, plus 33 grams sugar leaf trim. My goal next grow #2 (this grow) is general improvements based on practical learning to yield at least 2x (12 oz minimum) vs my first grow. I’m going with a medium yielding Corleone Kush, so may be a challenge to double yield. Equipment stats...calculated hours after Grow #1 - Exhaust Fan, carbon filter, clip fans (24/7) 2,496 hours - Ballast Phillips 1,308 hours (rated 50,000 hours) - Phillips 4k bulb 912 hours (rated 20,000 hours) Phillips 3k bulb 396 hours (rated 30,000 hours) - New 10x20” HEPA filter for each new grow Key learning checklist from Grow #1 2019 GSC - Fill pots close to the rim with soil. My 3 gallon pots were effectively 2 gallons. - Target water/nutrients PH 6.5 - 6.8 for soil grow. - Feed during veg; select new organic veg nutrients (Biocanna Vega). - Veg longer for higher yield. - For fungus gnats, Mosquito Bits top dress, supplement with yellow traps early. - Let pots dry out (lift...feel light) before each watering. - Selective defoliation for airflow and light access. - Raise pots off saucers for better airflow (bird suet feeders) - Reduce molasses, Feed soil with molasses every other watering; start mid-veg. - No scrog, use LST/topping; allows me to pull plants from the cabinet. - Keep feeding veg nutes and keep 4k bulb through stretch; then 3k bulb and flowering nutes through flower. - Reduce dry time in cabinet after chop (9 days was too long 66F, RH 42) and get a humidifier for the next dry. - Worry less now with one grow under my belt. Dropped 4 of 6 seeds into distilled water Friday morning, February 21, 2020. Sunday morning Feb 23 see signs all four seeds sprouting. Planted in Solo Cups, Potters Gold soil, Phillips 4K bulb 4.5 feet above top of cups, light cycle 18/6. Day 4 all for germinated. Ordered a small humidifier to move from rh 20 to something higher. It will improve when I have the 3 gallon pots with plants evaporating and transpiring. End of week 1. The humidifier was overkill, so returning. I put an open container of distilled water in to boost humidity until I up pot. Misting with 65 ph water plus 1/2 strength Superthrive. Temp 68 low 84 high, RH 23 low 37 high. Grow Diaries stats have some errors, my PH is not 14 and temp not 50.

End of week 2 yesterday, can see growth each morning. Unfinished basement area ambient RH 45, 68F. Struggling with low humidity but am very hesitant to add a humidifier in my small 3 x 3 ft. cabinet. This morning 82F (low 68, high 86), RH 30 (low 23, high 39). Evaporator set up is helping. Misting daily with PH 65 water and half strength Superthrive. Plants will go into full 3 gallon pots later today with a good watering including Superthrive and Biocanna Biovega. Im going to consider this end of week 1 for veg, will exclude first seedling week. Dropped light to 36”, will drop to 24” in. few days. Pics from this morning. Now in full 3 gallon pots with a slow watering 1 quart of PH 65 water each with nutes. Dropped light to 24”.

Day 21...Last water day 19, 1 quart each 6.5 PH Biocanna Biovega & Superthrive. No fungus gnats. Humidity much better. Temp L 66 F, H 84...RH L 29, H 45. Raised light...steady at 24”. Started LST tonight. One plant has weird super wide leaves that curl down...will watch. Stems are super strong..same as last grow...convinced silica makes a difference. Will top early next week.

End of week 5 (day 35)...last water day 33: 1/2 gallon each slowly to 1/4” runoff, PH 6.3 with 2 tsp Biovega/gallon and introduced CalMag 1 ml/gallon (TPS Nutrients CalMag OAC) as preventative maintenance. Temps L66 H81, RH improved, L33 H51. LST daily, have 10 main bud sites each...will continue to spread. Minor nute burn barely at the tips last week, no change this week after feed...no concerns. I clipped a few old low dirt lying fans. Zero fungus gnats or sign of other pests. Raising light every two days to 24”. Clip fan above circulates cooler air downward. 2A the big girl on the bench after LST. Last pic after more LST today and tucking.

Day 42 end of week 6 from seed. Height 11-12”. Water yesterday PH 6.4 same organic nutes and calmag 2 gallons total. I will flip to 12/12 tomorrow...no change planned to nutes or bulb swap until after stretch. Flower time should be 9-10 weeks...want this to go heavy amber for nighttime. Environment steady temps H 82F L 64 F, RH H 49% L 30%. Pics from this morning. The lighter growth was covered by big fans. Lots of secondary bud sites developing.

Yesterday was day 49, end of week 7 from seed, week 1 since flip to 12/12. No pistils yet, stretching...raising the light every day to maintain 24” over canopy. I pulled all yesterday to water but felt a bit of residual water weight low in the pots...put all back and will water this morning. I will up the TPS organic CalMag to 2 ml/gallon. Pulled a couple yellow leaves lying low. No f-gnats so far this grow...top dressed with Mosquito Bits when I transplanted to the 3 gallon pots. In the group shot the clawed leaf girl is on the far right...also was the runt...now keeping up with the others.

Now Biocanna Bioflores 2.7 tsp. and 2 ml organic TPS Cal-Mag/gallon. 2 gallons total. PH 6.4. Big growth spurt..stretching Smell is ramping up....good. I will start adding Budswel soon. The flowering part is the best...2nd grow.

Day 63...end of week 9...3 weeks since flip to 12/12. Water two days ago...watering every 4 or 5 days when pots are light. Nutes Biocanna Bioflores 2.7 tsp. and 2 ml organic TPS Cal-Mag/gallon...2 gallons total, PH 6.4 this time with no PH up. I added a 3rd small fan to increase airflow under the canopy this week. Plants are still stretching, raising the light daily, height around 20”. I will stay with the CMH315w Phillips 4k bulb until stretch is over, then will switch to the Phillips 3k to finish flowering. Today I did a light defoliation, taking thin branches low. I am getting a nice lower canopy of secondary bud sites on two of the four...those are staying. Main buds are developing nicely. Pics are from this morning before and after thinning. One plant is using up some lower leaves more than the others.

Day 70...end of week 10, 4 weeks since flip to 12/12. First pistils showed April 15th. Water 4 days ago...nutes Biocanna Bioflores 2.7 tsp., 2 ml organic TPS Cal-Mag and added this week Budswel guano 1 Tbsp./gallon...PH 6.5 with no PH down, 2 gallons total. Stretch ended two days ago, swapped out the 4k bulb, replaced with Phillips 3k bulb this morning right before lights on. You may notice the pinker light hue in the open cabinet picture. I had about another 2” limit to raise my light...final height OK. Trichomes just started to appear early this week and exploded from there in the past few days. Also a bit of purplish tint to the sugar leaves...many have no serrations. The plants are starting to consume lower fan leaves, which I believe is normal about half way through flower. Im concerned about further thinning stressing the plants. I have LST down pretty well now but have no game on thinning. Cali says 8 weeks flower, 10 if you want a complete knockout. Regardless, I have a scope and will watch trichomes on calyxes for ripeness.

Day 77...end of week 11, 5 weeks since flip to 12/12. Water yesterday...nutes Biocanna Bioflores 1.9 tsp., 2 ml organic TPS Cal-Mag and Budswel guano 1 Tbsp./gallon...PH 6.5, 2 gallons total. The plants are consuming the bigger fan leaves, pulled a few more that were ready to drop. Getting some nice fall colors, serious purple on the tallest and wine shades on the others. The tallest plant is a different pheno with a larger bud structure. The buds are fattening up and the trichomes are significant already compared to my first grow...this will yield some quality hash from the trim. This is looking to be some sticky organic nighttime medicine.

Day 84...end of week 12, 6 weeks since 12/12. Light was finally raised to its upper limit...still allowing 24” above canopy...which was the plan. The CMH315w 3k bulb is doing the job for flowering...super frosty and really swelling and filling in between nodes. New white pistils...another 2 to 4 weeks to go. I haven’t scoped trichomes yet. Temps steady at H 79-81 F, L 64...really getting fall fade and purple is expanding...also stinky in a good way.

Day 91...end of week 13, 7 full weeks since 12/12. The flowers are still developing white pistils...a few turning orange. The calyxes are really swelling up on this strain. I will bust out the scope sometime next week to check trichomes. Im guessing another 2 to 3 weeks to go. One plant, the super purple one, is consuming fans faster than the others...I think all will be OK until harvest. I plan to keep feeding until the end, but will try to time last watering to several days before I go dark. I will mix up another batch of soil for my next grow now, in case Im short on Roots 707 soil or Harvest Gold Organics silica and minerals.

Day 98...end of week 14, 8 weeks since 12/12. Two no longer have any new pistils...two still have many cream colored pistils. Water yesterday, 2 gallons PH 6.5, same organic nutes. Watering about every 5th day when pots are light. Scope shows clear, cloudy and some amber trichomes...will check more often now. Possible they will be ready in another week, but, probably will go 10 weeks flower. Cali Connection says 8 weeks, 10 if you want a knock out. The carbon filter will need to be replaced for my next grow...got two grows from it. I will probably order another 4” fan to have a spare on the shelf.

Day 105...end of week 15, 9 weeks since 12/12. Scoped today, will wait for more amber. Looks likely they will go 10 weeks. A few pics today. I heard from Sweet Seeds my seeds prize should be here in a couple weeks...works for me. Watered yesterday...2 gallons PH 6.7 and Budswel only, slowing down on water uptake with two extra days before water was required. I might have a seed or two poking out...looked all over and have never seen a male flower...must now be buried if those are seeds.

Day 109...mid-week through week 10 flower. Found what looked like a couple seeds earlier this week poking out and found a male flower low. I have great airflow...not good in this case. I planned to chop in a few days anyway since trichomes 5% clear, most cloudy and amber ranges 15-30%. Cali Connection says 65 days, they went 67. I unplugged the light the night before. All fans were trimmed and bagged for hash later, in the freezer now. The plants were labeled and hung whole to dry back in the grow cabinet I used the abandoned scrog frame from my first grow to create a slide in drying rack. I will assess the seed situation during the cure. All 4 are a bit different but all share a very tropical fruit, incense and hash aroma. The larfy tester from last weekend was surprisingly potent. A few pics from chop day and last one from this morning...the back right is 99% purple. Drying conditions 63-66F, RH 52-59% with exhaust fan only running. Will trim and jar for cure sometime next week. I will update harvest details next week.

Yesterday was trim day (day 118 from sprout) after 9 days slow drying in my grow cabinet with just the extraction fan running. Drying conditions...temp range 63-66F and RH range 51-56%. Picked up four new 1/2 gallon jars to reduce the number I’m burping daily. I had help this time, trim took just under 4 hours. This was a medium yielding strain...I was hoping to double my first grow, which was about 6 oz all in. I didn’t make it to 12 oz...but not that far off...I’m happy with the results from my organic soil 3x3. Cali Connection Corleone Kush 2A “purple one” bud 47g, popcorn 9g 2B “tall girl” bud 64g, popcorn 3g 2C “the claw” bud 50g, popcorn 4g 2D “super fruit” 60g, popcorn 5g Total 242g, just over 8.5 oz. Plus 53g high quality sugar leaf trim and a nice pile of scissor hash. I ran the big fans trimmed off chop day through the ice bags and got about 1/2g bubble hash...a nice preview. Later trim day I ran the lightly frozen sugar leaf through the ice bags and got another 3g bubble hash...cream colored and tastes like fruity pebbles. The trichomes are very fine...hash only the final #25 screen. The dry kief will become a couple of nice shoe hash chunks. I was able to apply learning from my first grow...noted a couple tweaks I will make for grow #3, including timing to defoliate...waiting on seeds. Thanks for checking out my grow #2.
