A cindy 99 I recieved as a freebie on a order I placed. First time through. This is an actual plant from seed, I have taken clones from her and have those rooted and growing, so it's time to flower out the momma and see if all the trouble was worth it. This particular seed is a creation of midweek song. I have a few others they've made and havent been let down yet, so expectations are sky high for this little lass. I'll let you know how she's doing....week 4 starts tomorrow!
Today marks the start of week 4 in flower for cindy. She's looking pretty good to me, got watered and fed this morning. Some of the fan leaves are pretty big, I might take a few of them off to get more light to some bud sites.
Day 23 her flavor profile has switched from a nice fruity smell, to something akin to hot, wet garbage. I thought it was the skunk next to her, but when I brushed against her to water, my arm came away smelling like the dump down the street. Normal for a cindy 99 to smell like this? Maybe I should throw some bud candy in on the feedings to get some sweetness out of her?
Really starting to get some good chunkiniess to her. A few hairs are starting to turn a light orange, burnt brown color. She smells much sweeter than I was anticipating, kinda hard to tell what she smells like on her own with this skink right next to her a few days from harvest. Next week might be an easier tell for the scent. Every branch is pretty much bud from stem to tip, which is pretty impressive for week 4. This is my first grow in this girl, and she's doing better than i had even hoped she would. Cant wait to see how she continues to develop.
Day 32-The skunk was removed yesterday. Cindy has some more room to stretch out now. Also had another whiter colored light added to the mix, just for fun. I cant believe how chunky these bugs are already some hairs have turned a burnt brownish color, still.mostly fresh whites though. Also has some calyx fattening. Few more weeks and she should be getting ready to fall!
Day 37- added a second set of cross support bars for the flower tent. The negative air pressure was so great, I was worried the tent could collapse . I'm not worried about it anymore. Cindy had started to put on some weight. And she's getting real crusty with tricomes and well. Exciting!
Day 40- starting to get some serious purples on some of the fan leaves....only under the new white colored leds....wonder if maybe they're getting sunburnt. None of the other plants are reacting this way however. Never grown a cindy before, maybe the purples are normal. Looks fantastic otherwise. Golf ball sized nugs all over her. Another couple weeks!
Took a few fan leaves that were starting to die and crisp up off her. She's really getting that crunchy look to her, but still mostly clear tricomes, so probably another week or 2 yet. She also has a very rotten apple meat smell which is disgusting....but I'm also kinda addicted to it at this point....hope that carries over into the taste side once she's dried and cured.
Looks pretty much done to me, 75% cloudy, 25% amber. Time to cut down on day 50. Really.love how this lady turned out with all her purples and huge stacks.
Seems like she grew super easily, though she did start to hermie out a bit at the end...maybe I did something wrong. Seems as if only the lowest couple branches were affected thank god. Overall I like it, will try again for sure.
Add in a few more days after I've had a chance to smoke some.
3/31/20- after closer inspection I do indeed have some nanners on this girl. Seems to have stayed mostly on the lower branches and the buds closest to the main stem....seeds I got look pretty viable. That means it must have happened a while ago. Seeds take 4 or 5 weeks minimum to mature, and most of the seeds I've found have matured. Which means I did it when I chopped some lower branches off her at the 3 week mark.....was s.oking some skunk and trimming the diesel kush plant and just got too high and kept going onto cindy. Stupid. Ah well, the buds still get you supremely high if you smoke a bunch. But if you just smoke a bong load, you can get a lot of things done! Cleaning especially becomes better. RIP a load, throw on some tunes and you'll be able to.clean away for a.good couple hours before you even realize the time passed. Perfect. But if you smoke a few bowls in quick succession, prepare for a nap. Gonna try her again, and hopefully not cause her a bunch of undue stress a few weeks into her flowering period.
