Well I got to be honest here, I had such terrible trouble getting some beans to pop that when I finally got 2 c-99s to pop I wasn't into documenting the grow. But I followed coco for cannabis' nutrient recipe and everything was gucci.
I also had to prolong veg because I went away for the new year. I had an auto drainage and auto watering set up but I was nervous to say the least that they would survive/my house would burn down. I did try to teach a friend to PH my fert tank when he fed my cats, but he didn't do it (yah stoners for ya).
So the plants I had were hooked up and my friend never even checked on them I didn't know if they were going to be alive or not. But I opened my veg cab and it was a jungle in there, we had PH problems and some light damage where they had touched the flo bulbs. PH was over 9!
So I topped and defoliated and let her recover for a few weeks before flipping one of the plants. This is also where I started documenting.
I had some yellowing so checked PH and it was far too high. corrected PH and flushed, new growth recovered.
Plant took well to LST. But I did lose 2 stalks due to the top skin splitting, I should have tapped but did not and there were easilly knocked. But I'm happy with the main cola training so I don't think it'll be any yield loss.
Got a genetic mutation a polyploid. Super thick bud site and leaves.
I continue to defoliate every few days to remove leaves blocking bud sites or are not hitting light. I guess you would say it's conservative defoliation. But she has an awful alot of leaves tight to the stem.
Been gradually defoliating, anything that blocks buds or doesn't hit light. This will be the last week of defoliation and I will try to lst the side branches away from the main stems.
Finishing mid flower nute schedule.
Plant is growing fine, putting out a lot of pistols and some are starting to turn orange.
I had 2 150w 55000k photography bulbs which i wasn't using but thought i could fit in. The plants seem to love them.
Just that waiting game now.
LSTed the branches over, would have been better to do earlier but I gave the buds a bit more space. A lot of leaves on the colas.
Defoliated to help humidity and put in dehumidifier in tent and in grow room.
Checking trics turning cloudy, I want 20% amber so on schedule for 2 more weeks.
Keeping an eye on the trich starting to see some ambers. Time to start the final flush.
I think the foxtailing is from a led light on the fan, it shines through the cheap plastic around it, whoops. New fan needed.
Well I went back to feeding ripen nutes, seems the reveg has stopped tric development so I have to wait for her to get into flower mode. Really bad mistake on my part.
Will check trics in another week.
Well everything was going ok until I discovered bud rot around the other side of the fascinated bud. Another bud was close to it so there was bad air flow in that spot and it started rotting.
I cut any of the mouldy buds out, sprayed for a few days with dilute H2O2 and blasted the fan through the canopy.
With some tent leaking I'm ready to call it. I'm doing a final flush then I will harvest in 5 days or so.
Mild tropical/pineapple smell up to harvest and in the jars. The high is certainly a day time smoke, you can get stuff done like cleaning but will leave you up at night. Will update with proper vape report after cure.
The only downside was the bud rot in the last week of harvest that hurt my yield. The leaves grew very close to the cola so difficult to prune cleanly. There was quite a lot of leaves of the cola so that's a consideration with trim.
Bud rot bud rot bud rot... Must have lost at least 40g of my harvest. Need a total upgrade to my air circulation, and a smaller bud touching the bigger bud was where it started from.
Took about 4 hours to trim one plant, got some kief and made canna butter with the trim.
