Starting a new grow using low pressure aeroponics (soakponics?). First time using anything other than soil. Have three 6.6gal totes and a 15gal reserve. Have placed the seed directly into soaked rock-wool cubes.

Pineapple Express 1 and 2 sprouted just fine in the rock-wool cubes, but 3 has yet to make an appearance. I have started them on a light nutrient mix at around 250ppm. A bit worried about the RH in my tent. Might have to get a humidifier.

PE 1 and PE 2 have been developing well. I needed to place the rock-wool cube with PE 3 in a warmer place to get it to sprout, but sprout it did. It’s a week behind the others, but hopefully that won’t affect the grow overly much. I’ve increased the nutrients to about 550 ppm and they seem to be responding well, with a good amount of root growth. Added a humidifier, but had to plug it into the timer for the lights. If it was on 24 hrs the Rh got up to the 90’s, and the humidifier I have does not have accurate controls. I’ve been fighting the Ph rising all week. Every day I have to add Ph down. My research has found that sometimes the hydroton clay pebbles can have that effect, and that it should stabilize in the coming week or two.

Still having trouble with maintaining PH . I think its the cause of the brown spots on PE#1 leaves. Also still having trouble keeping the humidity above 40%. The humidifier has only increased it by a few points. Other than that things are going well. Saw a lot of growth this week.

Having trouble getting my humidity in my hydroponics setup above 40%. Got some advice that I should raise my pH in my reservoir from 5.8 to 6.5 to better meet the plants needs in lower humidity. Is this true?

No, that information is completely false. 6.5 pH is on the verge of too high for hydro. You want to keep your pH around 6. As for the humidity, the plants will grow at 40%. I have had the same issue and the plants still show a nice growth rate. As your plants get bigger they will transpire more and the humidity will naturally increase. You can get a small humidifier pretty cheap on Amazon or hang a wet towel near your fan to help with the humidity. But increasing your pH can cause you a whole new set of problems. Good luck with your grow!

Humidity is up a little this week. Probable due to all the rain we've been having. Have added Armor Si to nutrients to help them with the LST I've started them on. PE 2 seems to be doing the best. I've added an air stone to the reservoir on a friend recommendation and it has lowered the temp by 3-5 degrees, which isn't bad.

PE 2 started flowering on Tuesday, and PE 1 was a few days behind her. The smell has started to get pretty strong and the carbon filter does not seem to be keeping up. That might be because its a few years old, as it handled the other grows I've done with little problem. The humidity is up. Not because of any effort on my part, but because of the weather. The humidifier, wet towels, and spraying the inside of the tent with water helped a little but not that must with how dry my house was. I might have the opposite problem in a month. The roots are light brown, but there is no bad smell, so I think they are being stained from the nutrient mix.

PE 1 and 2 are in flower and PE 3 has just started. Plants are now drinking 2-3 gal a day. I have defoliated them. and they seem to has responded well. bounced right back and in two days have already grown many new leaves.

I've changed the light schedule from 18/6 to 12/12 to encourage PE 3 to start flowering. They have all recovered from the defoliation very quickly. Starting to develop trichomes on PE 2.

Still cant understand why PE1 and PE 3 are do far behind PE2. Or is PE2 so far ahead? I have noticed that at night the PE1 is very droopy compared to the others. Not sure what that means. I'm beginning to wonder if I actually got all the same seeds. They are all so different from each-other.

Have change the nutrient ratios now that all the plants are in flower. Now having problems with the rH being to high. With PE 2 so far ahead of the the others, I'm trying to think of a way to flush is when the time is right.

Had a little nutrient burn this week. Have deluded the mixture from 650 ppm to 550ppm. Seems to have solved the problem. Trichomes on PE 2 80% clear 20% cloudy. Still has awhile to go. The lid for PE 2 has developed a slow leak. Couldn't see what the problem is, so made an improvised solution using some pcv pipe, a soda bottle, 5 gallon bucket, and some Garden Wire. should work until the end of this grow.

Took a micro pic of PE 2's trichomes. Still clear, so still needs some time to mature.

Also gonna show you some love. Love that idea of hooks in the plastic, totally gonna use that in my next grow. Read up on the Ph fluctuating a bit brother.. It's recommended a lot. Happy growing 😁

@@Darkwarsongs, the hooks are working a treat, but get some gloves if you plan to do as many as I did. My fingertips were pretty sore.
