Start of week 11, Vertical growth has finally stopped at 75cm. As she was very bushy lights were not getting through to the lower part of the plant. Lower bud sites are not as big as middle sites so I decided to defoliate unnecessary leaves that were blocking and couldnโt be tucked. Now light can penetrate through better hopefully lower sites will progress. Also reduced nute dosage since thereโs less foliage to store any.
See how dark green is the foliage? That is nitrogen overdose. Also, 1 ml per liter of cal mag is enough. Keep in mind that as long as there are no deficiencies, there is no need to up the feeding.
There are 2 situations when I use calmag. Whenever I use ro water, I use botanicare calmag+ at 5ml per gallon.
The other time is after I have ensure my ph is correct and ec in range, I will add calmag+ if the plants are telling me they need it.
If your source water is tap with a ppm over 150, you should be ok ditching the calmag. I do not use calmag in my tap water grows. My tap water is 300ppm alone.
Could someone point out what these brown spots & edges are? Im hoping its age as sheโs coming into week 10. Ive read that it could be cal def but it cant be since im giving calmag since veg. Its only on first set leaves on bottom other leaves are fine no signs of it.
@hoesay has a good answer ! just reduce the nutrients , only feed every third watering with NPK, that means once every ten days minimum . Hope this helps ! ๐
@JuicyBuds__BLM, yea bro coco needs daily feed cos coco is inert it doesnโt have anything in it. I water to runoff everytime. I chk runoff ph once a week only adjusted once.
@Chilipadi, daily? Im also in coco and do every other day. But i feed on every watering since i use RO water.
I may be wrong, but i recommend giving more water at once instead of little day by day. I usually have about 20% runoff after giving my girls half a gallon in 3 gal airpots and coco. Runoff is crucial, i recommend checking the PH and PPM of said runoff on every watering too. Helps with monitoring PH and how much your girls are eating.
Happy growing!!
@CRiSPrGrow@hoesay , im in coco not soil so i need to feed daily. Ive reduced dosage a while ago now. Thing is its only the bottom 2 fan leaves nowhere else. If it is really nute burn it shd be more leaves affected so im still unsure. Many has said age too.
It is crazy from week 5 where she was 14 cm started flowering her height is 75 cm now. It means she steched more than 4 x bigger. I experienced similar.
Very nice she is a monster genetics I love the way she does stretching a lot :) 5th week of flowering expect to be finished around week 9 or 10 :)
I cant wait to see soon :)
Healthy!
Really nice man! Have a good luck she is healthy cute creature! No worries she will be double from now ๐๏ธโโ๏ธ I started following her journey expect like a bit longer flowering cycle due to her Sativa domination or just the genetics but she is really cool one! Good luck mate! @Chilipadi
Looking nice my friend. I'm keeping super close eye on my girl. While she do look okay and healthy and almost ready, i have suspicion she's about to start bad foxtailing soon.
@Chilipadi, all I can say is that it already look better than my first grow ever =) your next grow will be twice as good as that and by 5th/6th plant you going to grow monsters
@Elek007, thanks bro. Buds not impressive but i think its a success for a first grow. Im happy with the result although wished buds were bigger. Leaves are dying off already end of life, started flushing today so gonna feed water last few days.
@Ferenc, thanks man. Kinda loving the smoke. Has a sativa high energetic, creative & giggly high then comes second wave of mellow cbd. Nice combo imo. Wish i had more ๐
@JuicyBuds__BLM, thanks bro. no i dont have a tds meter only using ph meter. I was going to get one but with current situation itโs impossible to get one delivered to me.
Hey bro I really suggest you check the trichomes on it for the harvest.
If a lot of them turn amber she is gonna lose the THC. It will have crazy couch lock effects then. About 20% amber and other cloudy would be an amazing time to harvest.
@BlogMArley, thanks. She received the defoliation well not much stress on her. Just have to do it at right time and pace. Yea has nutrient excess in early weeks but I reduced the dosage a while ago. Her stem is small and thin because she is growing in a small pot not big.
@BlogMArley, yes 25.c at day and about 20.c nights. The purple stem comes and goes as temp changes day and night i guess. Humidity is definitely not high at 40-50%. Im watering everyday cos im in coco not soil. Water dosage is fine not over. Apart from these factors everything else is on point. Just baffled by the size
@Jay_Gardener, pero realmente estarรก marcando 25c? por que al observarle el tallo en la anterior fotografรญa mantiene el tallo morado y eso por el frio, quizas tambien es mucha agua
That's some root porn bud <3 let me know how she smoke/vape/digest whatever you're planning to do with her. Myself I was confused because somewhere around week 7 she smelled like orange soda/sherbet but it was for brief period of maybe 5 days, then she just smelled like any other plant. Today I got some sticky fingers when working in tent, I've rubbed them together and damn it's some proper Citrus punch, can't wait to harvest. I've been loosing 10-15 leaves everyday for past 4-5 days so she's cloooose.
@Elek007, yea roots are rootbound for sure just surprised how she still manage to grow how she did. The smoke on this is good imo. More on the lazy side due to the strong cbd content. Has a good sativa high with nice mellowed cbd kicking in not long after.
Same here citrus smell when touched but skunky smell overall. Pretty dank. I would grow this strain again enjoyed it and the high.
looking good so far! word of advise, you will need a support for this tall beauty! for the main and for the secondary branches. She will be heavy in few weeks and the risk of breaking will be huge, especially if you like to move them around . For the next projects, you will need to look into mainlining and scrog, you will be surprised how much easier, nicer and structurally stable is, not mentioning the yield is much better.
