These babies are just hating life. I suck sometimes... I swear.
So I had the issue with overwatering which caused a buildup of salt. Once the soil dried out I decided it prudent the flush the plants due to my previous error of hitting them with too much nutrient water. The flushing was successful but there was still a phosphorus and manganese deficiency that was caused by the salt lockout buildup. I've since fed them and the issue appears to have corrected itself with the foliage greening back up. I decided to defoliate the damaged foliage to help the plant trigger some new growth and get back up on their feet. This has severely stunted everything I was planning on doing with these girls in the coming weeks so It's a bit of a set back. I've moved these girls into my new LED Veg space which is two 136 watt viparspectra at 18 inches that has created a very healthy almost 50 DLI for the girls. I've adjusted the humidity in this grow space to be an almost decent VPD but it's still a bit low. This should help the plants recover a bit hopefully. Wish them luck. They need it.
There are still 12 seeds left of this so if anything goes too wrong here I can start over. I hope my ignorance and neglect didn't affect things and cause irreparable damage to the grow. I'm hopeful they will be bouncing back.
Man this is awesome! Excited to follow your journey. How do you separate all of them so you control the pollen and breeding? Do you have multiple grow rooms/tents?
@put_around, I close it off when I'm breeding. It is a very scary thought that pollen might escape. I try to segregate the male and collect the pollen in another room. When I pollenate by hand I do make sure to be careful and apply the pollen directly to the flowering nodes in a small quantity as needed and then shut all the vents in that tent for about a week. Pollen can be viable for a few weeks but typically if you only apply it in a reasonable amount to directly where you'd like to be pollenated you don't have to worry too much about it spreading except to directly next to where you just pollenated. It's all about being careful.
@DabCrab, thatβs cool. So do you have an exhaust fan on the tent that has males? Iβve been curious on breeding a golden goat with a blue dream but Iβm nervous about pollen escaping the tent and contaminating my other tent βΊ π¬
@Gr33nGiant, It's pretty simple and easy buddy. Just chuck pollen into a safe enclosed space. That and pray for a good breeding. Sometimes breeding produce junk. I've made a few strains that are just absolute trash and belong in the garbage. Happens sometimes.
@Endriu, They are derived from a White Widow X Skywalker Kush. Then I took the best male from that and bred it with a female Trainwreck to make my F1 Ahsoka Tano. I then took the ((White Widow X Skywalker Kush) X Trainwreck) Ahsoka Tano babies and bred the best tall branchy phenotype male with his female counterpart to make this F2 Ahsoka tano.
